If the forumplanet reviews are anything to go by, the game is complete shite. I'm just interested in how well the Wii version plays ( i already knew the 360/PS3 version will be shite).
I wouldnt keep my hopes up.
The three strikes analogy could be true if nintendo was in that situation, but they arent, just take a look at this for instance and also read the comments about the Wii there and tell me nintendo isnt doing things right. Even if they dont win this generation they will surely show there presence in the console industry and in the homes of many.
Actually,i live in the UK and i think i'm getting a good value for my money, even though no one sees it that way.
I think most of you guys are complaining waaaaay too much, you have till december to save up for the console and you are complaining as if it's coming out tommorrow, to me it sounds a bit like the need to rant.
As for me, i will be getting the Wii before my birthday (25th of dec) i just hope Argos, HMV,Play.com,simply games, GAME are not out of stock.
SCRAMBLE!!!!!!
Yea i went to the site earlier today and read some quite interesting things which makes me think the Japanese community will embrace the Wii more than the DS. I wonder which games they'll be showing off at this NY press event icon_question.gif
If i were you guys i would rather wait till the New York conference starts to gain more info on what the price tag for the US is and i think the people who are complaining about the price havent seen this site . The site is actually about the dash board and some other details that you may understand better after the NY press event, the console has more things than just a faster and more powerful gamecube chip.
Re: More analyst larks (6 years ago)
^ That list changed today i believe but we should expect that with the PS2's large user base people will always buy the good games available and yes i am saying that a PS2 game has take over the Mario.
^ Actually nintendo is going to ship 5.5 million by Nov proceeding into december and them 6million going towards the New year and thinking about it, it feels like they may make more than those numbers but we'll wait and see.
I actually believe the PS3 is just being playtested in the household for any possible failures, i mean we all know the PS3 will have high failure rates(and the fact that you are definitely taking a risk by buying it at launch) so i believe that sony is trying to avoid a massive epidemic by releasing the PS3 to very few people, thereby getting possible feedback of what makes the units die or fail or crash or slow down or over heat or......i cant think of anything else.
MS reaching for 10mil and Nintey looking at 6mil, a merrry christmas!!!
The Wii is generally trying to increase it's chance of being first while aiming for second and this delay was very expected.
Re: More analyst larks (6 years ago)
I think i might do the Wii60 thing and i believe the analyst was trying to say they wont make the 2.3million mark.
Meh, let's wait till they have released the american price.
The thing is, people will always get tired after playing a few games for a few hours, i know i do. So you could say the Wii will get you tired after a few hours of play but not the same as when you play with a pad.
Xenias??!.....me dont know. But it's good to hear that they are on track with the production.
Sounds alot like it will work, since ninty has announced that they have redone the Zelda controls to 1:1 and the fact that they are very close to Ubi in case of any help needed, it seems like everyhting is going on well with Red Steel.
Read this and convert it to AU$

It was alot more than i thought it would be.
The game is a little slower than the Wii version but the graphics look okay.
The old school style will always feel natural but let's give the new school a chance shall we? Cos it could be equally good, possibly even better and from the reviews in E3 the controller worked pretty well and no gimmick involved.

Developers will make games for PS3/360 because MONEY.
They think the lifespan of Wii is going to be SHORT. Not enough
time for them to develop good titles and make decent profits.
Whereas, the PS3 is going for 10 years.

Look at the PSP vs. DS for instance. DS is selling really well.
Why do you think the marjority of developers NOT develop game for it?

There are more risks associated with the DS than with the PSP.

Are there any company making money from the DS apart from N ????

Not many!
As the Wii's life span is short so is the time to develop a game. 16 months to develop one game is very short and the game is coming along well (red Steel) in the DSs life spn games have been flowing like a stream and that also goes for the PS2, so to say the Wii's life span is too short is just plain ignorance and it shows that you cant rack up a good point.
Was it ever meaningful?
Cant wait to see that lovely female on screen again.
I've already decided cos i love the rayman series, i last played it on the PS1 and i intend to get this one, those screens are looking good.
I believe the Wii can bring out massive worlds at great frame rates without a single drop(in frame rates) but what it cant do is bring those massive worlds in great graphics, look at Legend of Zelda for instance, it has a massive world with excellent graphics(in the ratio of the Wii and als the Wii can put out great textures better than the other two at this point.
If the Wii couldnt bring out massive worlds then why would Spore be on the heading to the system? And why would Crossbeam turn their project towards the Wii when they know the PC will do it better? It all depends on what the developer can get out of the system and what they want to get out of it.

The thing that MS has going for them is their Online, without them there wont be any online, they were the ones who brought online gaming and they wanted to build a community within the gaming world and they achieved that but right now, they are only bringing online to the same community as the last one and once nintendo has successfully expanded the market, the online community on consoles will expend also.

But as for Sony they've brought nothing that i know of, except competition, and although competition is good, even with it they havent innovated to any rate.
I would have liked a revamped Road Rash but this'll do.
FF crystal is for launch window, Metroid prime will also be for launch windo instaed of launch, Super Paper Mario will be on the Wii and Dragon Quest has been delayed for launch window also.

Other way around, I heard about the possibility of this happening before the Wii Controller was even announced. I gather that Nintendo have "forced" Microsoft's hand.
XNA was actually planned for only Vista/PC usage but it now seemed like a good idea to put it on a videogame console with online capabilities, it feels right to allow you to only design stages and minigames like nintendo is going to do cos people will be passing around crappy games if they dont censor it.
