Biography
The arcade is where I live, the DJ MAX Technika is where I breathe, the bemani machines are where I'll perish.

It's as simple as that really. I like to play rhythm games.

I can confirm that Marvel has no Online Pass. Well at least the Japanese version didn't. My digital download of Dynasty Warriors didn't have one either.
Same here, only picked up a Wifi but then again I didn't want to worry about HyperSIM dramas.
Store still isn't up yet though sadly, just checked. D :
Re: PS Vita Wallpapers (1 year ago)
Cheers for this Ciel, I'm still using the basic screens on my one. I'll definitely be using some of these. : D Gonna look so damn pretty!

Plan on making more?
Blazblue is scoring high on Metacritic and with good reason. the game looks SO DAMN PRETTY on the Vita. In all honestly I reckon it's the best looking game on the device, really brings out the most of the OLED screen.

Graphics wise, the character models and backgrounds are fantastic, I simply cannot tell that much of a difference between the two versions. However, the hit effects and supers aren't as WOW as the console versions, those are the only two aspects they had to downgrade to maintain the graphical prowess on the Vita. Everything else? Brilliant, the colours really pop out and everything looks so crisp and sharp on the Vita.
I've noticed a few differences. Tends to lag a little when multiple assists are on the screen getting hit however at face value (like Uncharted) you really can't tell the difference.
Friendlyguy: Yes, I do own a 3DS. I find the graphics are significantly better Vitawise with some of the games like Wipeout and Uncharted and even the not-so-pretty games like Ragnarok Odyssey look cleaned up. Could just be the screen though. You want a pretty Vita game though get Blazblue, OHHHH MAN.

Loading times are freaking TERRIBLE with some games however it's still launch tech so grant them that. Hopefully it'll improve.

Vita is surprisingly light so no my hands don't get tired but then again I don't play it for crazy long periods of time.

Vita feels rather sturdy but due to the weight I can see why people are concerned. I chucked a silicon case on mine (which somehow doesn't look tack) and put that in a carry case just to be safe. Haven't dropped it so I couldn't tell you more. : P
Perhaps we should organise an AU SCV multiplayer session or something? Properly test this.
Those who are hyped about the Vita, you really have good reason to be.

Had mine since Christmas and absolutely loving it. Looking forward to the AU release so I can get more games though (LUMINES!) as only a couple of games had English support (Marvel/Blazblue/Uncharted) in Japan.

Yeah Ads, the screen lock works a treat. You only get five stuffups though so don't try to unlock it while ridiculously wasted, I'm scared to see what happens if you stuff up. Might just lock you out or something.

Shinobido 2 demo I have, but have not played yet. I keep hearing it's awful though...

Anyone has any other questions about it let me know, I've put it to the test as best as I can.

Gravity Rush wasn't a launch title in Japan, it only just came out a few days ago over there (both cart and online).

There was a playable demo available for download though.

Oh but if you actually meant lunch title, er... I dunno what that means.
Aye, played the demo (Imported a Vita for Christmas) and it's absolutely amazing. Everyone that is hyped about the game really has a right to be, although the demo didn't show all that much. Showed enough to excite me though, which means it's doing the job of a demo I suppose.
Al the best, I remember talking to you so much when I used to frequent here well... more frequently.

Hope to see you return soon on either PALGN/Rocket or heck, even both!

Best of luck with the moveout, I remember when I did it the first time. Hard, but totally awesome when it's done.
Vita screen is way too bright. No sleeping through that.
About that time when I leave hibernation again.

What are people thinking of the netcode for this so far?
Shoutouts to Rebecca Rice! : D

Wish I could have had a go of LBP but the Vita was not operating when it was our turn to talk to him. Ah, well!
Yeah, I'll order a Japanese release console if it has English menus. Due to the 3Gness of it all I'm a little concerned there might be issues but we'll find out more closer to release I guess.
Media event man, I work in gaming television these days. Had to start the drive home after the media event finished.

I'll be up in Sydney a fair bit more for events these days though. Moment I can make my avatar small enough in KB size people will at least know what I look like. : P
Wow, the game seems so different. Seems to have a much more aggressive flow to it. Also seems to just flow better.

Looking forward to overanaylsing this one something stupid, given I played the last one competitively.
Wait were you guys there? I drove up from Melbourne for this event.

Now I'm spewing I didn't talk to the people from PALGN there that I know. D : Dangit!!
Re: The Shoot Review (2 years ago)
Would agree on all of those points myself. After playing a few stages in, I found that calibration could be a nightmare plus registration of the first special move was never solid, had to do the motion a few times to even get it to trigger.

Literally, almost no point? The only thing that makes this better than a standard light fun title is that you can turn around and that doesn't even work properly.

Pass. Time Crisis costs the same and is much more engaging.
I read "The Biggest Lobster Ultimate Workout" - Was about to squee with excitement for an awesomely random game.

Instead, fooled by the typo. icon_razz.gif
Look I know plugging is bad but people seem to be complaining about lack of Channel 31 reception (not suprising) icon_razz.gif If it's not cricket, just take it down or remove it or something.

Can find the episodes on the website - http://www.level3.org.au/ - Plus the online version is about twenty minutes longer anyway so you get more content. There's also the live version on Monday evenings (Around the time Good Game is on, normally just after? We tend to be late though >_>)

Thanks Kim! We'll do our best to keep the show going as long as we can. It's a lot of fun to do, that's for sure. That said I'm only new so it might wear on me eventually. ;D

You'll find the episode is posted online as well weekly on the website. Online version is about twenty minutes longer anyway, so probably better to watch that! :P

Not wrong, show's pretty damn funny in that way. Given it's been enough to have a second series of sorts announced, has to be good somewhere. Haven't watched it all though, I think it just covers the Devil Kings era and not the East VS West armies?

Maybe I just played Basara differently but I seem to find it completely different to all the other Warriors hack and slashes out there, given it's combo based and has multiple unique moves plus each character works differently (some can chain, some can airdash, some can cancel etc), which justifies the rather low character count compared to other titles (Warriors Sigma, over 100 lolwut?). Hard difficulty is also unforgiving if you're not careful.

Certainly agree with quite a few points though, I swear is the entire opposing army always drunk? icon_razz.gif Friendly AI is also absolutely horrible, although you can command them to attack with the taunt button mid combo so they attack and you don't taunt. That said, they don't really explain that well... anywhere. >_>
Dick Smith also has them, found that out when we saw some arrive in stock.

Also seems like the Band Hero/DJ Hero bundle is in abundance in various DSEs also.
I'll buy this regardless of price, hopefully there'll be some 360 players and an improved lobby system.

Gotta use that MadCatz Tourney stick on something!

I'm also hoping for some more Street Fighter III love as that's what I play most at Box Hill Timeout. Makoto and Dudley would be awesome and I believe both of them would fit in without too much issue. Wouldn't complain if it was Remy but eh. As long as it's not Sean. >_>
Now that I have a new PC and all...

Steam: DYoshii
X-Fire: D-Yoshii
Here I am, back from the grave and ready for some Blazblue action. Or anything really.

PSN is DarkYoshii
Re: PS3 Slim Bundle? (3 years ago)
I'm a DSE employee, I can confirm this. =D PS3 + Batman Arkham Asylum for $499
IT'S NOT A BUCKET HAT!

Re: Sound Test #3 (3 years ago)
'Sit leave out X2 Korean Ver. ;P However, not 100% sure if Daisuke did that one so I guess it's fair.

Good piece, brilliant music choice to really show his style. Reminds me that I want to buy the Blazblue Arcade and Consumer OSTs.
