Re: PSP Games (5 years ago)
I spotted a few $30 games at EB, and some $24 games at JB Hi-Fi.
I was thinking about Killzone: Liberation but apparently that wasn't as good because you can't really aim in the game.
How does Killzone play for you?
In general how do PS2 ports fare (like Gitaroo Man Lives and Pro Evolution Soccer games?)
I am also a fan of Metal Gear Solid games, how does Acid and Portable Ops work out on the PSP?

PSP Games (5 years ago)
I have recently bought a PSP for a good price, and I am currently looking for pick up some games for it.
I have gathered that the:
GTA, Tekken and Lumines, Daxter are all good games.
Does anyone have any recommendations about some good games?
And how much do PSP games usually cost? (or retail for)

Re: The Official Pokemon Diamond/Pearl Thread (6 years ago)
Pokemon might look daunting at first, with so many types, etc. to remember. But once you get one pokemon, the rest play basically the same, with the addition of a few minor tweak with each game.
It is a really easy pick up and play game.

Re: The Official Pokemon Diamond/Pearl Thread (6 years ago)
I ordered Pokemon Pearl on Japanese launch.
I chose the water pokemon, I sorta still use it in my teams sometimes.
I have 400+ in my pokedex, and I hope to expand on that once it gets released in Australia.

Single: Phoenix Wright (both games) and Ouendan
Multi: Mario Kart DS (one of the best online multiplayer Handheld games)

Re: Phoenix Wright: Justice for All (6 years ago)
I am a big fan of Phoenix Wright so I know most of the cases.
Off the top of my head:
After you examine the pot - you will notice both Ini and Pearl have locks.
Go to Maya in the Detention Centre and then you can unlock Pearl with the information, after you trigger an event after going back to the village.
After that event you can unlock Pearl.
Tell me if it work, because I don't remember exactly.

Re: Kingdom Hearts (6 years ago)
I don't really know if that could happen, I highly doubt it.
Well thanks for that information, I will go out and look for the game soon then.

Kingdom Hearts (6 years ago)
I'm just wondering, did Kingdom Hearts I ever get an official Australian non-platinum release. With the OFLC logo on the box, not a sticker.
I have been looking for Kingdom Hearts everywhere, but i can't find a non-platinum release.

Re: Australian Virtual Console Games revealed (6 years ago)
Yeah, Australian Wii Points are the cheapest, check out this on wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii_Points#Pricing
I always thought in the settings menu that you chose from any country?

Re: Australian Virtual Console Games revealed (6 years ago)
Just thinking about changing your country for VC.
Could it be possible to perhaps switch to a region where Wii Points are cheaper?
So you could go to Japan, and buy Wii Points from the Japan store.
2000 points = 2000 Yen = ~22 AUD

I have a portion of an article from vooks.net regarding pre-orders:
How do you think this will affect people who have ordered from places like Myer and Toys'r'us?

The information we received today tell us that most big chain department stores will possibly receive as little as 25 Wii’s per store. While dedicated stores such as EB, Gametraders who have preordered systems demand more, department stores have no control over stock so they will simply be allocated units by the warehouse unless preorders exceed allocated stock.

Re: General Wii Thread (6 years ago)
What do you think would be the best deal, if you are not going to trade a console?
I am intending to get:
Wii Console (obviously)
Wii Play
Nunchuk
Zelda
Red Steel
Virtual controller and Wii points card (possibly)
Would it be best to order all from one place, or separately?

Re: General Wii Thread (6 years ago)
Is anyone in Melbourne going to go and play the Wii this weekend?
At GAME1 in the exhibition centre, or at Highpoint shopping centre on Nov. 4 & 5?

Re: are you getting metal gear solid 3 subsistence? (6 years ago)
Does anyone know of any special deals or discounted prices for MGS 3 Subsistence?
Re: Favourite Video Game Series & Developer. (6 years ago)
I have a lot of favourite video game series and developers, but I will try to make it concise:
- Metal Gear Solid (Konami)
- GTA (Rockstar)
- Jak and Daxter (Naughty Dog)
- Original Crash Bandicoot Trilogy for PSOne (Naughty Dog)
(I didn't reallylike the newer Crash Bandicoots, there was about 45 seconds, for each level, loading time)
- Ratchet and Clank (Insomniac)
- Nintendo
I grew up with a heavy Crash Bandicoot influence, and to a lesser extent a Nintendo (Gameboy), with Pokemon, Zelda and Mario.

Re: The First Game You Ever Passed (6 years ago)
I don't exactly recall, but the first game I ever beat was either Super Mario World or Crash Bandicoot. As one of my friends had a SNES, and the other had a PSOne. So eventually I ended up borrowing their console for a bit, but I forgot which one I beat first.
Re: Why didn't phoenix wright get released in Aus ? (6 years ago)
Well, there may be a dispute between the Distributor: THQ, and Nintendo. As I heard they keep on passing the buck back and forth between each other. Nintendo of Australia should've have released it by now. In Europe it has been released, and usually Australia is not far behind.
Hopefull Nintendo Australia doesn't forget to release Phoenix Wright - Justice for All.

Re: Game insurance: Have your games died? (6 years ago)
I have never wasted my time with getting insurance for game from EB, if you take care of your games, then they shouldn't get wrecked.
Even when I lend games to my friends, they come back, still in working condition, so really, EB just gets a few extra dollars here and there, because most of the time, they don't have the replace the game.

Re: Sony not interested in market share (6 years ago)
I'm not sure about the technical details, but I have heard that the PS3's motion sensing technology is comparable to the GBC game: Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble, is this true?
Re: How far will Australia get in the World Cup ? (6 years ago)
Their warmup game against the Netherlands is going to begin in fairly soon now. I might stay up to watch it, but if I don't. Hopefully tomorrow I wil wake up to a winning scoreline to Australia.
Re: Essential Nintendo DS Games? (6 years ago)
I am just about to beat the last level of normal mode in Ouendan, it's unique gameplay is enjoyable, and really easy to get into, it is really import friendly.
I also eventually got Kirby: Canvas Curse from a friend fairly cheap. I is pretty fun, and I enjoying it greatly now.
It is only 4 days till NSMB's release in Australia, so I am going to buy it in the morning, and try to get as much out of it as I can.
Finally, I am having trouble finding Phoenix Wright, there are no stores stocking it, I have considered waiting till play-asia restocks it, but are there another options?

Re: Essential Nintendo DS Games? (6 years ago)
Thanks for all your advice, it is really helpful, and I appreciate your input.
I have played my friends Ouendan a fair bit, but I may just wait till Elite Beat Agents until a buy a copy.
I am probably going to get, in order:
New Super Mario Bros
Phoenix Wright
then
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
Advance Wars DS
as my next purchases over the next month or so.

Yeah, hopefully I can get NSMB, it comes about the day I finish mid-year exams, and the day before the World Cup Starts, so it should be a exciting week for me.
I might pick up Advance Wars soon, I am contempt with playing the original GBA one for now. I will probably get Castlevania as my next purchase, if I can find it, and NSMB.

Essential Nintendo DS Games? (6 years ago)
I have recently got a Nintendo DS, and I have a few games for it, namingly: Mario Kart, Super Mario 64 DS and Metroid Prime Hunters.
I am wondering what good DS games there are there out there that I should get, especially some of the rarer games that may become harder to get, like Phoenix Wright, some recommendations would be helpful.

Re: PSP's future (6 years ago)
If feel that the expensive price tag may hinder its success, but maybe it will become discounted soon. Soon gamers may not want the technological best handheld, so that is why the DS soon overtake the PSP in sales, as gamers just want fun.
Re: So Who's buying a Nintendo DS Lite??? (6 years ago)
Is there any store that is offering a cheap promotion or a discounted price for the DS Lite?
Do you think the PS2 price drop to $199.95 may effect the DS Lite's sales?
