Re: Ready at Dawn done with PSP (4 years ago)
Why oh why did I buy a PSP
Thats a bit of a shock but I dont see Wii Fit as a game. Its more of a tool you use to help you get fit and lose weight, if you don't have the motivation to use it, then you wont get fit.
I've seen someone do the running in Wii Fit by simply shaking the remote.
Since its release last Thursday, I have lost 2kg's. Thats fricken good, and thats only using it 1/2 hour a day.

I believe it comes with a larger HDD, like 120 or 250GB...

I was just saying I don't care that it contains the two CPU's on the one chip.
You seemed to miss my next example of the PPC>P4.
Passa; I never mentioned Doom 3... besides, I do believe RE4 is the best looking game of last gen, Metroid Prime 1/2 are also very good looking games, most probably moreso artistically than technically.
Xbox pretty much had only one visual advantage, bump mapping.

Another example, PowerPC G5 2.0GHz > 3.2GHz P4 +. Plus there are MANY other factors to take in, architecture being a major one.
Its the programmers that need to get the machine moving. IMO GameCube had some very awesome looking titles (RE4, F-ZeroGX, Metroid Prime 1/2) that trumpt the top Xbox games (Riddick, Halo 2, Forza...).
Though goes without saying, the Wii isn't very powerful, but looking at Mario Galaxies and Metroid Prime, it is quite a lot better than Cube.

Re: ABC Island nuked in Second Life (6 years ago)
Haha gold
I installed Second Life, just gave it a little check out (it was only ~100mb or so). I "played" for about 1/2 hour and got bored, didn't see the appeal at all

Re: Race Driver One under construction (6 years ago)
Awesome! Most favourite racing game of last gen... was just so much more fun than all the others... still I played GT3 far more but eh.
Re: New Colin McRae: DIRT shots (6 years ago)
Watched the trailer on the 360 Marketplace... the cars looked very good but everything else looked somewhat lacking.
Still love the look of the game, might check it out.

Re: Xbox 360 Elite confirmed by Microsoft (6 years ago)
Sweet. Planning on buying a Samsung 1080p LCD within the next few months. I'll see how I go with that and the ye olde whitey before eliting though.
Re: Report finds driving games make bad drivers (6 years ago)
After playing a game, am I a driving nut? Nope
After racing Go-Karts, motorbikes, or after the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide, am I a driving nut? Yes.
Stupid report.

Re: Hello iPhone (6 years ago)
Why not both that does everything + more better than both of those, in one pocket?
Re: Hello iPhone (6 years ago)
Hmm so much negativity? This thing, isn't a revolution of the phone, its just taking existing technology and fixing it.
Technically, to me the best things with it are the voice mail thing, and the full html. Other than that, the thing that it is improving on is the UI and how you use the phone. I currently own a SE P900, its a cool device, but what I've seen today in the presentation just makes my phone look so incredibly outdated... but my phone does it all still.
Its the experience, the functionality, not the technical breaches (and imo, it is technically amazing, with the touch sreens multiple touch...thing (sorry ultra tired)).
Currently, I want one... badly. The lack of 3G doesnt sway me at all, since I don't like talking to people with my face over it, but I believe 3G is just a faster network, not actually just video communication?
Maybe by the time it reaches us, 3G will be available on it, since I'd gather Telstra will be picking it up and they'd want to be using their new G3 (?) network.
Another amazing thing that they have done with it, is that they have MADE the mobile carrier do exactly what Apple want, that there is the steps into the right direction. They did it with music downloads, they're doing it with mobile carriers.
Again sorry for any mistakes, extremly tired.

Oh boy. Allow me to explain:
First of all, the Emmys are bullshit.
Secondly, this isn't even a real Emmy. If it even exists, it's some kind of honorary moneyhat Emmy. Here are the actual official nominees and winners of the Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards. Note that the Sixaxis isn't even a nominee (though Sony's XMB interface is).
Thirdly:
Emmy Awards Event Sponsor: Sony Electronics.
Emmy Awards Event Partner: Blu-ray Disc.
You do the math.
Fourth:
National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
NATAS.
Backwards.
I rest my case.

Err... why?
Re: Phil Harrison all for deeper emotions in games (6 years ago)
It all depends on the game.
Just like movies, there are fun movies, there are scary movies, there are confusing movies...
IMO there is no one direction games should be going, it should be covering every genre and every aspect as it is now.

are you saying don't advertise? Because I've seen heaps of Nintendo ads of both DS and Wii, and Harvey Norman ads for the 360.

Re: RUMOUR: Apple hearts Nintendo? (6 years ago)
I take over, I cannot see. I doubt Apple would be able to afford that right now, especially with Ninty making a profit now.
But I can see, atleast some negotiations of a small partnership in creating some hardware or addons for one anothers hardware, or software for the Wii? Who knows.

Re: TGS 2005: Revolution controller unveiled at last (7 years ago)
Guys who are scared of it being tiring... you dont have to hold it out in front. You can just sit it on your arm on your lap as you do now with hand controllers. Hold your remote, give it a go
.
