Now how about porting RDR.
Re: Diablo III (1 year ago)
It's Blizzard so it will be released on the It's done when it's done approach.
As someone has already said about going into the workforce. I went into the work force and the appeal of doing any form of study quickly disappeared once I started earning money. I've only been able to summon the motivation to complete a couple of TAFE certificates since.

Picked up GRID. This is basically my perfect racing game. Not so arcade'y that you don't have to break but this is in no way a simulation. Looks good still and has lot's of different races.
By the sound of that post you might also like DIRT.
Re: Gaming Bargains V2 (1 year ago)
Never used GOG before. If buy something like Earth Worm Jim 1+2 from there should I expect it to work on modern hardware and what currency are it that?

For the sake of comparisons, I also decided to go back for another attempt at finishing the original Unreal (Gold edition with the unofficial patch from oldunreal.com). I was halfway through finishing it for the first time on my old laptop that was stolen, so I was planning on playing through it properly anyway.
The original Unreal was one of the first PC games I ever played. Having mainly only played 2D SNES games before that it blew my mind and is defiantly one of my most remember able gaming experiences.
Pretty lame but business is business and companies will probably always fork out cash for exclusives. At least it was released in the west unlike some of the series. Now we face the long wait to see if Xillia gets localised and we don't even access to Graces yet.
PC demo is up on steam now. Downloaded, played and deleted. Was all round meh. Doubt I will ever buy it.
Re: crysis 2 (1 year ago)
Not available yet but the pics give us and indication on what to expect. Looks like there will be a hi res texture pack too.

The camera positioning depends on were you and your current target is. I think it actually zooms out when the character you are using gets high in the air.
No, it's not okay. Make it 26MB and I'll call it acceptable.
Re: Wii-U Metroid? (1 year ago)
Just give me more awesome Mertiod made by Retro and I will be happy.
About 18 mins of video showing of Xenoblades incredible environments including some time lapses.

ok I know your kidding, but riding around in a chopper with a machine gun fighting dragons would be **** awesome.
Skyrim is keeping the awesome mod support of Oblivion and Morrowind right?

Surely someone will mod that in (if it's not already in Morrowind or Oblivion). If not give me a buzz and I'll figure out how to make a horse that can fly and let you shoot 2000-6000 fireballs per second. I'll leave re-skinning the horse as a chopper to you (given your animation skills are way better than mine).
Reminds me of cheating for absurd stats and money on Morrowind and making the most ridiculous spell I could. Fun times.

If my sword doesn't have Iron Sights it's obviously a noob sword.
Needs to be upgradable to Sword Scopes.
Activision seem to have found it
Picked up Neir for $26 at K-mart. Went in with fairly low expectation but I found the game to be rather good apart from the side quest system.

I hate you White Knight Chronicles II.

Make me get lost in a big underground dungeon full of undead skeletons immune to physical damage unless knocked off balance... making me run into a room with Wraith a giant Death monster with a scythe who summons an entire mob of succubus which drain my mp then I run for dear life until I get massacred and have to start again from the start for the third time. I die because I cannot change my playable character during combat and the CPU ignoes me when I change out of battle stance to do this. I need to switch to my avatar to use the strongest fire AoE magic to destroy the mob all at once. Oh and it doesn't help that even though Yulie knows Holy Light which weakens Wraith and Succubuses (otherwise they are also immune to most damage even if I transform to white knight), the CPU refuses to use it against them most of the time. Then on my way out one of the gates won't open again so I go around, hoping a Wraith will not spawn until I give up, google where to go and find other europeans stuck at the exact same part.... after I get out I have to backtrack from the last WKC1 place to one of the mid-WKC-game towns because SOMEONE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO PARK AN AIRSHIP AND SENT IT AWAY FOR SOME REASON. So I go past chests I've opened in the first game... still opened, nothing's changed... fight those massive dragons again which take ages to beat. At least they were nice enough to 'plot dialogue fast forward' the chasm so I don't need to backtrack there (that place is ****** huge) ie black screen Cisna: "and so Leonard and his party braved the mountains and eventually arrive at..."

It doesn't help that Level-5 has not improved the collision detection at all. So enemies can still attack through walls and doors and an enemy's slash will still damage you even if you're across the room. It's bad programming, you don't use character stats to determine if you take damage or not. It should be able physical spacing but meh they got lazy with the maths and physics aspect of games programming.
/end rant
I had enough with WKC1. Game play was too bland, too slow and buy the time the story even got remotely interesting the credits rolled. Ultimately it felt like a mediocre MMO disguised as a single player game. Since I heard they haven't really done much to improve it I decided not to bother with the sequel.
Alright, someone get me 50 000 SNES consoles and some duct tape so I can make me a next gen console before they are even out.
I run it on High spec with a single 470 and an I7 Processor so you will defiantly be good.

I just realised I have 3.29GB in the save directory for The Whitcher 2.
Can't wait to get my hands on it this week.
Turn based battles with a very high random encounter rate it something that will just drive me up the wall. Turn based battles I don't mind. It's the random encounter that I hate. Especially when they encounter rate is high. Add these all together and you have a game that fell more like a tedious task than entertainment.
Haters gonna hate. Lovers gonna love. I don't even want, none of the above. I just want to Wii on U.

Man arrested.
Blood tests show 0 booze, medication for cerebal palsy.
Prosecutor pushes forward with case anyway, tried to get him to pleade guilty.

Because... I don't know he hates cerebal palsy victims or something?

Please tell me this prosecutor no long has his job.
Re: Rift (1 year ago)
Even when queuing as both Healer and DPS it still takes over almost 2 hours to get a group. Done with this. Not paying $14 a month to stand around and do nothing.
Guess what. Most of the time footage of 360 and PS3 games are shown it was often rendered on PCs. Nothing new here and Nintendo aren't guilty of doing anything Microsoft or Sony haven't done before.

Im one of those people that competitive Smash players hate icon_lol.gif. Tons of items, wild play and mania.

For that reason, I like Brawl more than Melee. All I really want from Smash is more. More more more. More characters, more stages, and more 'stuff'. I hope Smash 3DS/WiiU follows suit. I want more characters, more assist trophies, more items, more stages, MOAR.
I' the same but the only person I know that I play the game with is just the opposite. He hates items, says they are cheating and insists on turning them off. I once stopped him from getting back on the stage by throwing a paper fan at him and he went nuts.
Bring back Dr. Mario or GTFO.
Obviously if they have games like BF3 and Metro Last Light on board it must have decent hardware. I just don't expect it to run rings around the the PS3/360. I'm interested in seeing just how well it will run these games.
Dam you Nintendo. Making me want to buy a system over one game.
