Re: Which was the last game you finished? (2 years ago)
Just finished Portal 2 SP and Coop for PC
What a brilliant masterpiece by Valve once again. The puzzles, the music, the graphics, the humour, the storyline, it really had everything going for it and have produced one of the best games if not the best game this year.
Its around about 4x the size of Portal 1 (and thats not including the Coop), it plays wonderful in coop and is a great deal of fun to throw your friend through a portal.
Overall 10/10

Its just like MGS1 but without the blocky head.
Plus, its got the graphics of MGS2 without Raiden prancing around (sorry to fans of Raiden)

Well, in that case what about Blizzard? Pretty sure they're pretty strict on PC only, and it doesn't look like they're jumping ship any time soon.
Its a good thing they focus on ONLY PC gamers, because since the increased graphics power and user base of consoles we are often left out. I'd like to see someone play StarCraft 2 on a controller against someone with a mouse/keyboard, mega lols.

Re: Did my 1TB HDD just die? :( (3 years ago)
There are some programs out there to recover data, but as stated above can be quite expensive.
Best thing to do in the future is what my friend did, he designed a computer that was JUST storage, he had something like 8 x 1 TB HDD's works out to only 4 TB of storage but it fully backs itself up in RAID (1 or 2 can't remember)
You could start with getting 2 x 1TB's and use a similar method.
IMO WD Drives are the best, I have always had failures with other brands but everyone has different experiences.

Re: overheating? (3 years ago)
Yeah check that your fan is also connected properly to the CPU, i had an issue where it got accidentally bumped off a nice clean connection to the CPU and that caused overheating but visually it looked ok.
If not, grab a program that can increase fan speed of your CPU or GPU fans that can help a little.
If that doesn't work try lowering the AA settings of the card as that is something that will cause high amounts of heat.
All else fails google is your friend for other methods.

Re: Game of Thrones TV Series (3 years ago)
Well as it stands each book will be 1 series more likely 8-10 ep's per book which is awesome news. I can't wait for the next book also, I think the next one will be epic.
Game of Thrones TV Series (3 years ago)
Well for anyone that has ever read the Song of Fire and Ice Series by George RR Martin would be keenly interested in this little bit of information.

HBO has greenlighted highly anticipated fantasy series “Game of Thrones.”
The premium network has picked up the project for a first season debut next spring (below is the first released photo from the series). Nine episodes plus the pilot have been ordered. Production will begin in Belfast this June.
From the moment the project was first announced in development, the series based on the George R.R. Martin novels has generated enormous, perhaps unprecedented, online interest for a series at such an early stage.
The sprawling tale set in the mythical land of Westeros tells the story of the noble Stark family who become caught up in high court intrigue when patriarch Eddard (played by Sean Bean) becomes the king’s new right-hand man. The four-and-counting books in the series would each be used as one season of the series.
Unlike many fantasy novels, the “Thrones” series largely avoids relying on magical elements and instead goes for brutal realism — think “Sopranos” with swords. Martin, a former TV writer (“Beauty and the Beast”), writes each chapter as a cliffhanger, which should lend itself well to series translation.

Daughter of the Empire - Raymond E. Feist
I delayed reading this due to fears that it wouldn't be as good as any book from the Riftwar saga, and although I was right, it was still a great book. I didn't think the book would be able to get any emotion out of me, because it is based on the Tsurani, but I was wrong. Its a terrific book and I really want to read the sequels right now, but have to wait until I get a job and some money to be able to. And I can see how Feist used Eastern culture/s as the basis of the Tsurani, but it doesn't phase me, I still found the world very intriguing. I do think a film adaptation would be great, I would love to see some of the gem-coated cities that were referenced from Magician. It sounds really colourful, which is the exact opposite of cities we are accustomed to.

Well have a read of the article below for your thoughts:

Lets just hope they stick to the roots and not try and make it too realistic, this should be good as long as you can do massive dunks like the original, a little bit of online multiplayer might also be a hell of a lot of fun.
