Amazing presentation, absolutely blew Microsoft out of the water. I can honestly say it was worth staying up for!

It'll be interesting to see what Sony has that can top this.
Urgh these motion presentations are always so awkward when it's not working as well as it should.

Zelda looks amazing though!
Star Wars video brings to mind that list of reasons why the lightsaber motion controller will never work. Who cares though, it's Star Wars!

EDIT: Massive Oprah moment with the new Xbox.
Wow, think I should have gone to bed after the dashboard demo.

I feel kinda bad for the presenters getting such... lackluster claps.
Interesting how they label them as HD when the screen's native resolution is only 1024x768.
29/12/09:

Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box - AUD $8.45
The Orange Box - AUD $16.90
Killing Floor - AUD $5.63
Space Siege - AUD $5.63
Bioshock - AUD $5.63
You will have to burn it as a music CD, not MP3.
Any of the ATI 5xxx series are great value for money so that's your best bet for now, Nvidia's new series of cards are being released some time next year though so just keep that in mind.

I'd really recommend building your own PC. It's much easier than you think, and it'll shave off hundreds of dollars from the price. However, if you're really keen on buying premade machines, I'd recommend iBuyPower as they have good builds and plenty of customisation options.

I've heard very good things about BlazBlue, and from what I understand it is not available for PAL consoles.
Possibly to encourage more online players? All I can think of.

This topic has some very wise perspectives on the matter.
Re: Your newest purchase (3 years ago)

Not really a "new" purchase as I bought this a couple of months ago... it arrived today due to the Royal Mail strike.

Anyway, yay! The USB stick is 2GB for anyone wondering and the 5.1 disc sounds extra nice (once you can get it to work).

Apologies for the bad quality.
Re: External Hard Drive (3 years ago)
^^^

Why don't you just reformat it in NTFS...?
I play this game while in a car during EVERY trip, I have to clench my jaw when passing driveways, shadows of poles/trees and road lines or lights. Clench each side depending on where the object is. HEY - clench is a funny word!
Re: Soundwave 2010 (3 years ago)
Here's to hoping that RBF do a sideshow... I can't really justify paying $150 for a whole festival when I'm only interested in one or two bands.
I believe Bioshock 2 has been delayed until next year.

And please keep away from the Caps Lock key.
Re: Beatles Rock Band (3 years ago)
Ha! Sorry buttmouth. I was using my iPhone and wanted to plus you, didn't realise 'till I checked the topic again.
Beatles Rock Band (3 years ago)
This game is set for release soon and I thought it deserved its own topic. This could be a hub for any new information and discussion on features, songs etc.

So the game is confirmed for release on September 9th (in the UK at least), does anyone have any details on pre-order offers or even if Australia will see this title released on time?

Regardless, I'm sure there will be many pre-order options (if you already have instruments). I look forward to any new developments.
Re: Your newest purchase (3 years ago)
Picked up a new iPhone 16GB the other day and have been downloading a plethora of apps since. Spent around $40 on games mostly, including:

Amateur Surgeon
ComicZeal
F.A.S.T
Flight Control
GeoDefense
Hero of Sparta
I-Play 3D Bowling
Knights Onrush
Leaf Trombone
Ocarina
Ragdoll Blaster
Real Racing
Zen Bound

A lot of titles are very impressive, in particular those Firemint games and the Ocarina app.
Re: Your newest purchase (3 years ago)
Just bought FFVII from the PSN Network for PSP, $15 (1.3GB) and it's downloading painfully slow.

My first time playing the game though, so I'm looking forward to it.
Re: Your newest purchase (3 years ago)
Picked up a new slim PSP on Saturday from Game without paying anything, after trading in these 360 games: Skate, RE5, Bioshock, Project Gotham 4 and Zelda: Twilight Princess Wii (and maybe another). The nice people at the store bumped the value up to cover the cost.

Also swung past EB and picked up: GTA Vice City Stories $20 and God of War Chains of Olympus $28 pre-owned.

I know what I'm doing on this upcoming 18 hour flight!
Anyone want to wager how that will convert to $AU?

My bet is around $450-500
Re: Your newest purchase (4 years ago)
Decided to take advantage of the JB CD sale so I picked up:

Manic Street Preachers: Journal For Plague Lovers $17
Mastodon: Crack the Skye $19
Deerhoof: Offend Maggie $22
...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead: Source Tags and Codes $26
Yes: Close to the Edge $24
Elliott Smith: New Moon $35
Brad Mehldau: Day is Done $22
Largo $22
DM Stith: Heavy Ghost $19
Radiohead: OK Computer "Collector's Edition" $20 and
The Bends "Collector's Edition" $20 (Already had both but the consumer in me yearned for the complete copy, which came with all B-Sides from both albums)

Total: $246 minus 20% = $197.

My wallet hurts but I can't help but feel nice and warm when gazing over my collection, realising how little it's all worth(as compared to the huge personal value) icon_smile.gif
Where's the tacky "street" style that we always hated(but secretly loved)?
Re: Steam Gifting (4 years ago)
I'm not exactly sure how the gifting system works as I have never done it myself, but if Steam does not recognise that the recipient already owns the game then it might be handy for them to post a list of which games they own.

Very nice idea though! Reminds me somewhat of a sensical and backwards pyramid scheme (more like a straight line, really (or circle, depending on how the original gifter ends up!))

Trust me, my faith in humanity is long gone...
This is like Steam's weekend offer except the savings are miniscule and the games aren't worth it.
