Looks like that idea that people had of using their iPhone's personal hotspots instead of a 3G Vita may not work out.

Can't you just create a wireless access point using your iPhone and connect the Vita using wifi? Or does the iPhone only allow personal hotspot connection via bluetooth?
I've encountered a glitch which is stopping the main quest from continuing... Hopefully Bethesda can patch it and I'll bide my time by doing side quests... Disappointing!!!
Interesting that Nintendo feel the need to even bother with a Zelda timeline. Each game has always felt standalone to me...

I just feel sorry for Link as he is one unlucky mofo.
Can't believe how stinky the Australian Nintendo store is!!! Not fair!
I quite like the 3DS as it is, although a refresh including better battery life and a second thumbstick would obviously be nice. I thought the DSLite update was great as it improved the screens considerably from the old DS.
This is nitpicking: The GBA games tend to look more pixelated due to being scaled to display on the higher resolution screen of the 3DS. Maybe a filter could help in the future icon_smile.gif
start gloat/

I must be one of the lucky few because I have all three PoP games, Beyond Good & Evil, MGS: Twin Snakes, Killer 7, and PN03 (as well as most other worthwhile Cube games). Found most of them secondhand too.

/end gloat

Funnily enough, the Cube PAL version of PoP Sands of Time, while very good, runs at a much lower frame rate than the Xbox version and lacks the progressive scan support of the PS2 version. Warrior Within for me, also had a serious bug which rendered progression impossible. Now I have all PoP last gen games on Cube, Xbox and PS2...

I still play my Gamecube, and although it didn't quite meet expectations software wise, the games that were released are some of the best of the last generation.
Frustratingly fun!
Re: Mario Kart 7 (1 year ago)
I'm finding winning gold (let alone three stars), on single player GP 150cc mode a lesson in supreme frustration, yet I always come back for more. I fear for the safety of my 3DS system, but who knows, overcoming and accepting the cheating AI in MK7 may make me a more patient person icon_smile.gif
@Benza: I'm not calling you close minded and you are well within your right to dislike whatever you want. I merely meant to say people tend to be less close minded when they mature a bit, it does not mean they have to like everything!!!!
@Benza: I didn't mean you have to be mature to enjoy Mario games. I only meant that people tend to be less closed minded when they grow up a bit. Guess I was wrong...

I agree that you can't force someone to like anything, nor should they feel obligated. Play whatever games you want. Just don't act like a prat when someone mentions something you don't like, after all, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
I think the whole "young generation missing out" argument isn't so much about forcing them to play old style / hardcore games, but rather how some people don't give any other game a chance if it isn't COD or whatever. It happens all the time in any form of media, and it usually takes maturity to overcome.
Super Mario 3D Land is my game of the year so far.

Yep, Skyrim is great, and I'll find out about Skyward Sword soon enough, but the polish of SM3DL just blows me away and it's FUN too!
Nabbed Halo: Anniversary for $40 at Dick Smith's today...
Re: NBA 2K12 Review (1 year ago)
Any chance of a review of the PS2 version? icon_biggrin.gif
Can't get enough of that "Epic Mockey" icon_smile.gif
Both games are what they are. Control may be arcane but any player can adjust. As far as 'games as art', make of them what you will. Nobody is wrong or right. I personally love both games icon_smile.gif
Nintendo should stop faffing about and just do Super Mario 64 3D as well.
Just downloaded all 10 titles from the E-Shop, plus the Ambassador Certificate which I hope will enable me diplomatic immunity next time I break the law...
Would love to see Super Mario 64 given the same treatment in a 3DS remake...
That ad is so sweet...
T'will be great when the SNES games start to populate the 3DS store wotsit.
Looks like a tethered iPad. If the controller could be modded into a portable SNES, that would be amazing.
Such a shame the dual analogue sticks don't seem to quite cut it. I guess it is destined to be nerfed in some way icon_sad.gif
No doubt Halo 4 will be huge, but why not shamelessly sell out along the lines of Muppet Babies... eg, Junior Master Chief?
Re: Yar's Revenge Review (2 years ago)
I feel old icon_sad.gif
This is gonna sound a bit OCD, but I wish the screen was symmetrical in placement when viewed horizontally. It really annoys me!!!
Re: PSN down? (2 years ago)
w00t!!!

Reset both passwords on my Aussie and US PSN accounts and finally able to redeem PS3 Steam freebie Portal 2.

Yay.
Re: PSN down? (2 years ago)
I have tried several times (from around 6am - 10:30am)to connect to the PSN in order to change my password and have been met with the 'under maintenance' message every time. Luck of the draw I guess... icon_sad.gif
