Couldn't find anywhere else to post this, but, would anyone like some close up pics of the Japanese MGS:TS bundle when I recieve it in March. The pics from Lik-sang are pretty dodgey.

Re: Matrix Revolutions discussion thread (spoilers) (9 years ago)
Inside the Nebuchadnezzar, a plaque is shown briefly in the background with the ship's name, and 'Mark 3 no. 11.' This is likely a reference to the Biblical verse Mark 3:11: "And whenever the unclean spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out saying, 'You are the Son of God.'"

Re: Matrix Revolutions discussion thread (spoilers) (9 years ago)
Maybe it means nothing. Maybe we are supposed to get our own interpretation from it. Maybe there are so many possible meanings for it
Oh and for those who didn't understand, room 101 is the room in 1984 where they were brainwashed into believing what wasnt true. There are so many theories for the Matrix. Some are pretty definate, some are just theories. Take what you want from it

Re: Max Payne 2 and Call of Duty (9 years ago)
Bought Max Payne 2 from America
just to get it before its Aussie Release. Word of warning for alot of people. If the shortness of the first one pissed you off, stay away. This game can be completed in around 8 hours. However, its one of those games thats completely devoid of aimless wandering, a game that keeps you constantly in dodging bullets and performing cool dives while you fill 17 people full of shotgun pellets.
The physics are amazing, as are the graphics. Voice acting is top notch, and the graphic novels return in tact, as perfect as they ever were. The only real complaint is of its length. Still, I've completed it 3 times (just to get the special ending) and I'm not sick of it. You might complete it in 8 hours, but that really would be a rush through. Stop and smell the roses. Watch every tv program (In the game there are numerous Televisions thats show programs including; Address Unknown, Dick Justice, Lords and Ladies). Look in ever nook and cranny. It really is worth your time.

Re: Matrix Revolutions discussion thread (spoilers) (9 years ago)
The Matrix (and subsequently its sequals) is one of thse movies you have to watch a number of times to properly get. Alot of my friends came out of the movie saying they 'hated' it, and I'm not going to aimlessly convince anyone that they are wrong, they are stupid, they are a 'moron' because (and i know this is lame) it all comes down to 'choice.' You can like it, or you not like it. It really doesnt make a difference in the grand sceme of things, because a year will go by, everyone will forget, and regardless of what anyone says, the movie is likely to make some retardedly stupid amound of money (The Matrix made $171mil, Reloaded made over $700mil).
Back to my first point, about looking into the movie alot more. How many people didn't really understand the Architech the first time?
Fair enough, I didn't really either. But, after watching the DVD and being able to take time to take it all in, it really isn't that hard to understand.
I really doesn't matter if you understand the story or not, its what you personally make of the movie. My girlfriend didn't quite get the first Matrix the first time she saw it, but it taught her something. You are free to do anything as long as you put your mind to it. The Matrix was intended to be more than just a Good Vs Evil classic cliche story.
It's funny to watch over the movies on Dvd though, and pick up little things that you never got the first time. Things like the brief shot of the Architech's video monitors in the first movie before Neo is interigated. The interigation room number is '101' and anyone in year 12 who reads George Orwells '1984' will understand what that means. And something as completely obvious as the names chosen for the characters and places.
'Neo=One.'
'Zion=Biblical name for Jerulsalm'
(I know none of this has anything to do with what I just said. I just think its cool when you find out weird things in backstories of movies)
I could go on forever but I wont, because I'd probably just be repeating what you already know. Basically all I am trying to say is, If you hate it; Well I'm sorry you couldn't find something to like about it. If you liked it; Good, but don't try and force your opinions on others. Remember it's just a movie.
Oh well, I guess we will have to all wait for the matrix online.

Moving off topic, does anyone know when the Lizzie Mcguire Movie gets its Region 4 DVD release? I ask because, my little sister.............

Sure they look cool, and sure it would be great to walk into somewhere wearing it on your belt
But you know they are illegal, and even if it doesnt kill you (unless shot in the right place from the right distance) It still leaves a huge ass welt on what ever part gets hit... as long as its not your nuts... which would swell up and you would lose all together.
Sorry but i really dont see any up sides to buying guns like that that work and shoot Ball bearings. Can you? (im sure your gonna come up with some "great" *not* reason why u should buy them)

Expense wise, it's not actually that bad. The most you could ever expect to pay is $1000 for any AEG totally modded up with laser sights and re-threaded barrels.
Yes I know Airsoft is illegal in Australia and no I do not condone importing illegal weapons.
Can anyone help? (9 years ago)
I am looking for high bandwidth digital chatter sounds. "bleep bleep whirr....."
Like the sound of Satellites talking to each other or a dial up modem makes but more intense - the sort of sounds used alot in the matrix.
If anyone knows where I might be able to find such things, or filenames available of any p2p sharing programs it would be much appreciated.

Re: Physics teachers + CDs + Microwave (9 years ago)
Put a light buld in the microwave. When it flashes purple turn it off quick. Works in short bursts. Too long the globe blows up.
Re: Screwed Again (9 years ago)
Airsoft is very similar to paintball. Only difference is the guns used are full size metal replicas that fire ball bearing at high velocity. Usually enough to leave a large welt. A company called Tokyo Marui was responsible for creating several pistols on the Resident Evil: Rebirth fame. Namely Jill and Chris' standard 9mm pistol as well at the Samari Edge. The pistol I showed above is the very popular, special edition Umbrella Magum Revlover, famous for its role in RE0.
Unfortunately for us there isn't huge knowledge of airsoft in Australia, so rather than make it legal with small permits and registration, it's been made totally illegal. The worst you could do with one of these is take an eye out and even then you would have to shoot point blank in the face.
Here are a few weapons I am currently eyeing:
S.T.A.R.S Samari Edge-Standard model
MK23 SOCOM
H&K MP5K
FN P90 (Think RC-P90
)

I posted a topic quite awhile back asking about airsoft, and if it was legal where you live. This has been out for awhile, but I get angrier and angrier everytime I see this and just want it. Too bad its illegal to import and own in Australia.
Re: PALites cop another price shaft. (9 years ago)
Dodgecity dudes. It really does make me wonder, I always assumed that games were double the price in AUD compared to the Greenback because of the exchange rate. But now the AUD is sitting around 67UScents I start to wonder why the hell RE0 is still $109.99.

Re: Nose bleeds...! (9 years ago)
Whenever I get nose bleeds I make sure I take full advantage of them. Forcing as much blood out as possible down your face, stagger around the school into younger people, roll eyes back in head. Works for me.

Re: Has a game ever gotten you emotional? (9 years ago)
To get off topic slightly, I find that alot of Anime has very emotion endings.
For instance the last episode of Cowboy Bebop, I mean (I wont spoil it for anyone who hasnt seen this awesome series) but "What the hell?!?!?!" Same goes for Evangelion and Bubblegum Crisis. It ends but never really tell you anything, and your left going "Me wanty MORE!!"
But as far as games go................well in the end of LSL1 I was happy Larry finally got Laid. There you go, the emotion was happy.

Because its not a game you can see yourself playing over and over again once you have finished it. You pretty much finish it once and thats it.
