If anyone's interested, Kotaku have an article and video of how the 3D on the 3DS actually works, yes we know about the parallax barrier, but its still worth watching in my opinion
Well those peeps over at Team Twiizers have been hard at work with a Homebrew Channel update making it now safe to update to system menu 4.3 once done so, but I want to make sure things won't stuff up etc, anyone know yet if its safe to do the Nintendo update once you've got the new Hombrew Channel?

Cause I wanna access the shop channel, but don't want to try IOS61 & Dop-SHOP or WiiSCU, as they seem kinda complicated and unnecessary now with this Hombrew Channel update going live, that and I've never tried the IOS stuff before...
Hey guys, just thought I'd let you know that a Palgn-er won the Tag Team National Coin Challenge, and that was me (and my younger sister, but she's not on here) icon_biggrin.gif.

I haven't been given details on when the trip etc is, waiting for Nintendo's call on that one...
But am doing some hard thinking on what to spend my money on at the Nintendo World Store in NYC, unsure if it's $1000 each or it being split, having read the terms & conditions it could be interpreted either way...

But had a great group of people cheering me on, and met new people who are great also.
Can't thank Nintendo enough for having these events, I knew I liked the Connection Tours, but this is just out of this world amazing!

In regards to the Syd event, know of any TEC members who will be there, that why it's soo hectic? Cause I'm sure I've versed some before, just looking back at this and can see Chun & Adam in the finals with me, seen them at some tours since, but maybe not for a year or 2 now...
ah memories, and I'm sure you have some fond ones too, we both won there, you at Chadstone and me at Erina Fair
The game looks great and apparently will be out by the end of the year, so not much longer to wait.

No Kremlings whatsover, and no animal buddies confirmed yet is a bit of a bummer, that and there apparently won't be any underwater levels either, they say that it just slows the platforming action down, which is not what they want...

I'll be doin a write up once its over, hopefully with video, but whenever I do its a bit average, I'm no videographer...

^ that's exactly what I've been doin since the day I got it (Aus version) and no problems thus far, just hope that the hombrew peeps can find a way around the latest update apart from this, like a safe update ala 4.2 and keep hombrew etc
@Waka I still don't understand your hate of open world Mario games my friend, but its good to hear you will be there. And in regards of games to expect apart from NSMB & Mario Galaxy 2 my guess is as good as your's.
But I will be there mainly for Galaxy 2 (even though i'll already own it by then) & NSMB and I'm fine with that so...

@Macka you gotta at least give the comp a try, and in regards to a Pokemon tourney I'm actually thankful for this type of tournament which levels the playing field for all entrants, but to each their own.
I'll try and start training, but don't expect anything spectacular from me on the Pokemon front, k.

@Azza yeah I know what you mean, I don't even think I've been out to Hurstville before, but I am such a sucker for these events

Umm it's already out as far as I know, heck I have a copy I pre-ordered from GAME, mind you it's not the Aussie copy but a UK one...
You should probably follow that up with them.

On that note has anyone seen a Aussie copy of the game around or are stores just selling the UK copy with the the MA rating stuck on it??

^ Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but try getting into this talk with Qbert and he swears by Super Mario Kart being the best, BY FAR

Me I'm quite partial to 'Super Circuit' on GBA, some great ideas used there that weren't all continued to other titles, in particular laying a red shell behind you, it STAYS THERE and homes in on the next person who passes it, GENIUS! icon_twisted.gif

Unsure of which Mario Kart is my favourite/the best though, and I've played them all icon_eek.gif

And fully endorse the purchase of it on Virtual Console

I've been following the vids and I like what I see, can't wait to play, didn't get to play MGS4 unfortunately but have Konami explained the whole co-ops thing and how 2 or more people can play as Naked Snake? Does it have something to do with the whole 'clones' thing of the Snakes (Naked first then from him Liquid, Solid, Solidus) or did I miss something??
Added in some nintendo 'invite' points the other day and ordered the Mario party cards and the Bowser folder etc set, can't wait till they arrive

Quite a surprise them updating the 'shop', was it the people complaining or merely a matter of time?

Either way these 2 items will join my G&W collection all in good time icon_biggrin.gif

Never been to Supanova, and missed out last year, but hoping to go in June (SYD), cosplay isn't a pre-requisite is it? And what in particular is there to buy, cause I was not aware that people sell stuff there icon_confused.gif

Also Ray Park was at the Sydney event last year, kinda bummed I didn't get to meet him, and although there are some good guests this year like Lou Ferrigno, Laura Bailey & Michael Winslow, meeting Ray Park would have been awesome.
As stated yes you will need a Gamecube controller and gamecube memory card, because using the Wii as a Gamecube is just like using a Gamecube, it reverts back to old hardware, so no new features for Gamecube games, you would need to play them as originally released with Gamecube accesories/controllers
It's great to see this getting localised, quite a buzz going around. And it's even better finally seeing more online games (European & US versions are free btw, Japan is a monthly payment deal) as well as more use of WiiSpeak, hope some other titles this year are taking notes and will follow suit icon_biggrin.gif

These 2 points made are worth listening to, but also like the others I suggest going into settings and setting the sensitivity of the pointer, position of the sensor bar etc to your optimum settings, at least then you can determine if it's a problem elsewhere with the Wii.

But I'm sure it's just as easy as that to remedy the problem
In trying not to get too 'mature forum' on those people who aren't, but seein Jennifer Hawkins wearing nothing in the Sunday Telegraph made me smile today icon_biggrin.gif

About the glow I was thinking more along the lines of that The Mushroom Kingdom is emitting more light than Bowser wants/needs, kinda like he can't control the ball and it's contents, now, but wishes to turn Peaches Castle and the Mushroom Kingdom into how he envisions it to be (dark like his kingdom, and the rest of the sig)

I think you're right BurnZ, keeping it like that and at 300 x 110 is better, BUT, segax I like your 'glow' better....
You reckon you could create that glow on the smaller sig?

Again, I'm no wizard at these things, I don't know how to make a glow around the ball (I didn't even know how to make the 'ball', but fiddled around with the options till i got it right) but also don't think it needs a glow as it's the brightest thing in the picture to begin with

I would have liked to keep the bowser castle in the whole signature (550 x 110) but unfortunately the source material isn't big enough that when I do stretch, it looks bad.
Also I felt like cutting it off at the side cause I thought the cape worked well that way.
I've never seen a blue duck before, and to be honest I wanted to see a blue duck, lol
