Re: Rock Band 3 Review (2 years ago)
You can use GH drums and guitars on all RB titles on 360. I have been since WorldTour & RB1.
Just thought I'd mention The God Of War Collection
is getting a release 22/04 locally. EB has it listed at approx $60 or $50 if you preorder by Sunday.

well i remember seeing a limited editio PGr3 sell for >$200, but that was when there were only like 500 or something, some rare edition faceplates just sell for alot! if you look at the questions, alot of people from different countries are after it so you could probably say they are really big civilisation fans or something, if i were you just slap it on $150 buy it now with and see if anyone cant be bothered waiting icon_biggrin.gif
About a year ago Harvey Normans in Brisbane CBD were clearing about a dozen of the PGR3 faceplates for $5.00 each . I guess I should have picked a few up icon_smile.gif
Re: Wii Fit Review (5 years ago)
I bought this for my wife for mother's day . I really had no interest in it myself but I tried it yesterday & really enjoyed it. I found the workout could get challenging especially the yoga poses!
Maybe that says something about my own fitness level . icon_redface.gif
I listen to several gaming podcasts and the majority of them including sites like 1up , Gamespot ,IGN & even many smaller ones like Player One regularly go for approximately 1 to 2 hours .
I really don't see the problem with the length of the podcast it's not like they produce one each day.
I also think you will find many people spend an hour or more travelling to and from work every day and enjoy having something game related to listen to if they don't feel like playing their DS/PSP
Keep up the good work guys.
Just wondering if this title is playable on the PS3?

Sweet review, i've been really looking forward to this game, but dvdcrave have had it on backorder for MONTHS!Not weeks, months, apparently their are some major supply issues, shame aus can't even get it's hands on a game born here.
I picked it up from them via their mail order site a few weeks ago. I don't think they get many in at a time so the best thing to do is to order now that way when it comes in your order will be filled first.
I have to say LeonJ I am pretty much in the same situation as you. i tend to get sick of games quickly & trade them in thoo buy new ones. The ones I tend to keep are my favs like MGS titles , Final Fantasy ,Resident Evil God Of War & unusual titles like Ico & Shadow Of The Colussus .
I would rather trade in titles I don't want & get some new games than have a large collection of titles I lost interest in.
Damn! I forgot about that!
I have to say playing without rumble especially in a driving game feels a little weird after 8+ years of it.
If I could change one thing about the Sixaxis controller I would make the L2 & R2 triggers more trigger shaped to make it a little easier to hold onto during those longer gaming sessions.
I wonder how many people with just the core system & a memory card actually download XBLA games ?
That was actually my biggest fear as well .
I do predict however another round of "A Current Affair" scaremongering coming on complete with calls for the game to be banned by several people who have never played it.
BTW I have now played the game for a couple of hours and am very impressed.
My wife picked up mine today from EB-$79.95 (they had a $20 down on pre order ,$20 off deal)
It looks like I will have to take more time off from Lumines & Splinter Cell Double Agent to play through some of this. icon_biggrin.gif

Christ, what's with all the massive demos? icon_sad.gif
It does make me wonder how big PS3 demos will be though . icon_cry.gif
And how the hell you can store Wii demo's!
Actually I think the storage capacity of the Wii might be an issue that could rear it's head very quickly. I know you can use an SD card for extra storage but I still think it may well add to the overall cost of the console over the long haul.
BTW I did download the demo for NFSC & so far I am not very impressed by it .

I suppose it's a tough thing balancing out how much of any game to give out as a demo . I've noticed a lot of the XBLA games have very small demos eg scrable which only gives you a very small taste of the action.
I guess if they gave out the entire first chapter of Doom a lot of people would be content with just that and not buy it.
Doom is the type of game I love on XBLA - a fun retro title that is great for a quick blast . I think as we move forward there are going to be more non arcade titles showing up.
D'oh ! That's what I get for skipping straight to the comments !

Something I'm curious about is whether unlocked characters played on the 1st game, since it is a backwards compatible game for 360, will unlock them in the new version?
I heard on a recent interview (sorry can't remember which podcast) that the characters for the first game will be available as a download on XBL soon .
I picked up the game this morning & have played it for a few hours now and I have to say I am very happy with it.
Just a tip to those who purchase it & have Xbox Live -thee are a couple of cars available for free dwonload on marketplace already-you still have to buy them in the game but they do give you a couple more choices at the start of the game.

anyone else got this game? i wasnt interested in it at all untill i read the review and now im thinking of getting it, looks like a fun game. what are other ppl's opinons? worth 100 bux?
I would say i have a love/hate thing going on with this game. The bosses are tough (i'm currently on Level 8) & get very frustrating.
I have been on the verge of returning the game to EB over the past couple of days but every time I feel like giving up I have a breakthrough & progress further into the game.
I would recommend this game if you like a real challenge & love Zombie movies.
I must amit i was skeptical about this game after playing the first demo but the second demo was a real improvement.
Tomorrow is looking like a busy gaming day for me what with both this & Starfox Command for the DS coming out. icon_biggrin.gif
Feel free to add me as well guys.

I think all the months of speculation over price has given rise to expectations of an amazingly cheap price for the Wii.
I expected a $400 price point & am just happy we get it this year. icon_biggrin.gif
This brings back memories of wasting many a Saturday afternoon in Las Vegas (the Brissie arcade not the city) trying in vain to finish the game in the very early 80's . I never did but it remains one of my all time favourite arcade games .
Now if they would just release Discs Of Tron for XBLA I would be a very happy camper. icon_wink.gif
I have to admit I am really looking forward to Scramble- it was one of my all time favourite arcade machines back in the day.
I only hope the reality of the game lives up to my memories. icon_lol.gif
What about the 16 & 17 year olds out there who can legally buy this game ?
All the arguements here seem assume that all the bullies are under 15.
This is precisely why I think the game will end up banned here. The GTA games are a lot further removed from most peoples' lives however bullying is far more an issue for a lot of people.
Re: 360 demo dillema (6 years ago)
I would suggest deleting any incomplete demos from your memory. I was having a similar problem this morning downloading LOTR demo.
After I deleted these files the download was able to go ahead no problems.

One of the main reasons Hyper declined in popularity is because Eliot Fish left the Editorial gig to pursue his musical interests.
I really think the magazine has declined in quality since then. It has become one long in joke that wasn't very funny to begin with. I still pick it up every now & then if there is an interesting cover story but I would have to say the only mag I buy now is Aust. Game Pro (which actually seems to now be the home of some of the better former Hyper writers)
I really only buy the mags for a read on the trip to work these days I much prefer the internet for news & reviews.
Re: Easy Mode #17 (7 years ago)
I have to admit I was surprised to see the new Prince Of Persia game reduced to $49.95 at Target yesterday.
