that will save me having to drop $80 this week, I can pick it up with Asura's wrath now!
Damn, I paid 107 on zavvi expecting a Dark Souls type of affair in terms of collectors editions. I'm pretty pumped after seeing that pic although I'm very concerned about the state of my table. I have absolutely no where to put my collectors editions anymore icon_sad.gif

Came home from work today to this - got it off ebay, some sucker probably made a huge profit from me!

Also preordered:
Catherine - Stray Sheep edition (already have the Love is Over edition but at $89 can't miss!)
Asura's Wrath - Mostly preordered from JB just for the wall scroll, I dunno why I do it...
Ninja Gaiden 3 - preordering this was an ordeal, I was accosted twice by two little sh*ts who were raving about how great it was when all I wanted to do was just preorder and GTFO! Hopefully picking it up isn't the same!

El Shaddai & Yakuza 4 - from Zavvi for $40, first time purchasing with them, other than their choice of shipping container, I'm a pleased customer. Cost worked out cheaper than my usual site ozgameshop and only took 2 weeks to arrive

Dirt 3 - $30 ozgameshop - pretty fun game I'm impressed with it.
La Noire - $20 play asia - pretty glad I finally have this.

now I wait for my games to automatically finish themselves
Great job on obtaining the first two uncharted's unplatinumed and in pretty good nick!
I'm 24 today, I swear I remember another palgn user having the exact same birthday!

Pics of it!

Picked up Majin + De Blob for $40 which was my present for myself!
MoH for $13
Resistance 3 for $59 - might take the target to a gun range!

and damn I really need to vacuum sometime

Deus Ex - $60 from ozgame

Anyone got tips on what I should be looking at before buying a car?

Cheers, already bought it though =)
Ah well, I was procrastinating and I felt the need to share! Congrats on the new car!

I've only ever bought one car before - the crap-heap Excel my parents gave me to drive which I bought off them when leaving home. My wife bought our current car off my parents when they wanted a new one, so she's not much help either.

Looking at buying last-year's demo off a dealer for a decent discount. Could use some ideas what sort of questions or things I should be asking about.

This is also a good site to consider when buying a car, although you may want to look into your respective state/territory's department of consumer protection.

i guess im now the coolest kid on the block can anyone guess why ? icon_biggrin.gif

fun tidbit that spawn dvd despite being marked region 1 is most likely region free as it plays in my PS3 perfectly
I'd have to go with the Digimon!
Preordered Diablo 3 collectors, the chick serving me really had no clue about anything and when I asked her how much it might be, she proceeded to give me a list of the contents. icon_neutral.gif
Re: Post your Pix (1 year ago)

consoleguy/Mikezilla , sometimes I've purchased things from videogamesplus and the game is in english and french. Is that PS3 copy of Catherine the same or pure US english, no other languages?
Not too sure, I haven't had time to play it just yet but the back of it has french on it as well. I'm not too fussed, as long as its in English of some form.

Big shout out to Mikezilla for directing me to videogamesplus!
I look forward to long summer nights in my sexy boxers, tshirt and pillow case

YES, I've never been so psyched to receive a package. However, I anticipate my excitement will be matched when I receive my copy of Arkham City collectors edition!

I have been experiencing an increase in people lecturing me in the streets with the "In Australia, we ......". I was raised up in an interesting mixed culture upbringing (but being in Australia, I happened to adopt more the Australian but now my "White" Australian bf is trying to get me to be "more Chinese") but that doesn't stop people when I am trying to open my mouth and say thank you, they straight away WITHOUT giving me the chance to speak, say "In Australia, we say thank you". I even got a lady in a trolley who was at her right in opposite direction giving me a lecture about "In Australia, we stick to our left". I love Australia but not enough to get run over by an "Australian" with a trolley icon_razz.gif

I got no idea why I am getting an increased number of this over the years but it is giving me the ****. It could possibly be because of my skin colour and that people from non-Western cultural upbringing not used to the Western culture so there's a conflict of understanding but seriously, I'm definitely more Western than I am Chinese and this is the thanks I get for being a Westerner? Now I know why cultural identity can be an issue for children of migrants >.>

I am for educating those who aren't used to the Western ways of courtesy and etiquette but not when I am trying to show it but it was instantly assumed I wouldn't give one. I think I am too sensitive since this is getting to be but I just happen to be that type of a person icon_sad.gif
Based on your location in your profile you live in Sydney, that's interesting that it occurs there. When I was in Sydney I noticed there was a significant amount of Chinese folk. I myself am Chinese and I have to say out West I've only experienced that once when I was walking with 3 of my buddies down the left side of a shopping mall and some old white lady was like "in Australia we keep left" yet she was on the right side.

As for the rest of your post I have to say, sounds like a bad run of luck to me. Other than Cronulla Sydney, to me, seems like a place that would be pretty multicultural and open to various people of different ethnicity.
Sey I have to say, you have a lot of disposable income!

Playbook - $21 from Book depo!!
Magnetic Man - $17 from Jbhifi (never ordering from this shit hole again, took close to 1.5 weeks just to ship my order) However, shipping only took 2 business days so if they manage to get their payment together it would be nice

Edit: seems my smartphone camera isn't as bad as I think it was icon_sad.gif
I've read the books (still having trouble finishing A Feast for Crows), should I watch this or will it ruin the image I have of these great books?
Purchased myself an NFL Gamepass - now I can watch all of this season's games including playoffs - $170!

So good.
Playing Assassin's Creed 2, I am pretty sure I've spent too much time on this. It's actually more enjoyable than I expected.
The missions do get pretty repetitive and there is no way I'm doing a race again after spending close to 10 minutes on the first one because my stupid stick kept making me fall off the building.
I think if I keep going I'll eventually be able to finish Brotherhood before Revelations comes out!
Spending a tonne of money in the past week, yet the only thing I can show from it is a Big Lebowski Blu ray, not that I"m complaining!

If you ever decide to let me know or ask away in the PC builder thread. We'd be happy to help and recommend.
I'll definitely be seeking advice in that thread when I purchase my rig for this game!

Dare I say it...pretty tempted to buy a PC and learn how to use a keyboard properly to play this. That's how excited I am. Jesus...
You could probably use a pad too if you're feeling blasphemous. Most PC games these days come with native pad support, especially if they're multi platform.
I would think that flying a jet would make more sense with a joystick/gaming pad, however I can't even fly a chopper in BC2 with the PS3 stick so who am I to talk!

JB - $16

NOT ENOUGH LEBOWSKI!!

Some books I purchased from the Book Depository, damn they're quick in shipping and cheap as hell!

Also blew a bit too much on pre-orders:
Ozgameshop
$90 - Arkham City - PS3 collectors with statue!
$26 - Super Meat Boy Ultra Rare edition with T-shirt (couldn't resist a collectors edition like this for such a great price even though I already own the game)

EB
Plonked down some cash towards the Assassin's Creed Animus Edition. A purchase more out of a need to complete my Assassin's Creed's extravagant collector's editions than actually wanting to play them game icon_sad.gif poor wallet icon_sad.gif

and finally

$53 - BF3 limited edition, my mate preordered a bunch of copies and turns out I was included so that was an unexpected surprise/shock for my wallet and my senses.

I feel as though I'm almost prepared for this summer's catalogue of games.

Some things I've obtained over the past two weeks
Interesting packaging of the HD202 Sennheisers
