Is Team Battle back? It was awesome in SC2 and was amazingly not included in SC4.
Re: Homefront Review (1 year ago)
I'm with light487, I was really enjoying this game. It was heaps of fun and just as you are gearing up for a massive fight, the game went and did a Halo 2. I was bloody furious.

Here's hoping that the recently announced sequel by Crytek / Free Radical really takes what has been laid here and cranks it up to 11. I'm thinking Crysis without aliens in the USA would be pretty sweet.
Re: Crysis 2 Review (2 years ago)
I've been really enjoying it, but the gun customisation is a bit lacking this time around. You cant put silencers / laser sights on everything like you could in the first game! Why, oh why crytek? All I want is a silenced SCAR with an assault scope and cool laser sight to be stealthy like in the first game, is that too much to ask?

Also, it's better that ammo is everywhere this time around, and that there is general ammo for all guns. I never had ammo for the sniper or SCAR in the first game.

About all the graphics, will people, when describing a new PC, say 'Can it can run Crysis 2?' (Probably these days, it's more like, 'Can it run Starcraft 2?', not because it's a benchmark like Crysis 1, but more that it's more popular).
Re: Top Spin 4 Review (2 years ago)
But, is it better than Mario Tennis for 4 player doubles matches? Those were really intense.

(I should really download mario Tennis 1 on VC, has anyone played it? Does it work well with GCN controllers?)

Pure gold, my friend, pure gold.
Disapointing about the soundtrack. Burnout 3 had a really awesome soundtrack and Burnout Paradise's was pretty good as well. The use of GnR's Paradise City as the title song was obvious, but brilliant none the less.

I agree, no rap/hip hop in racers please. Rock FTW!
Let's all hope they forget about RE5 and go back to RE4, I hope that the inventory system is no longer 9 squares of pure hell.
Re: Goldeneye 007 Review (2 years ago)
Anyone care to comment on the best method of control? i.e. is the classic controller pro better than the gamecube controller? I hear the extra buttons on the cc pro make it better fit for this game, so is it worth the extra $20 if you already have gamecube controllers?
But the real question is is it any better than Nintendo's Tetris DS with all of it's Nintendoie goodness?
Everyone with a Wii should buy this to support their inclusion of splitscreen multiplayer, judging from Cody's preview it will be a hell of a lot of fun.
I don't mean to offend anyone at PALGN or stop them reading this site, but there's already a site that does all of this, ecogamer.com.

I read both sites before buying a game.

Also seriously why can no other games do co-op split screen while online? It's awesome in halo but sadly lacking in a lot of other games.
4-player splitscreen online is an awesome feature, it never ever gets recognised in reviews and no other game does it.

4-player per xbox system link should also get a mention. No other game does this these days. (I'm looking squarely at you COD:MW 1&2 [Seriously, how awesome would a 16 player COD match in the one room be like? Totally awesome is the answer. Here's hoping for COD:Black Ops....])

On a side note, does anyone ever system link anymore?
Also, does anyone else think the new "no health pick ups" system just sucks? I seem to die way more times in this game than previous metroids. Perhaps I just suck at it?
@waz79 I'm sorry, I will now drink my cup of concrete and harden up.

For the record, I did play Guitar Hero 3 way to much and received RSI in my wrist, but that's another story...

I agree with you for the Lost Levels, that game is insanely hard. No wonder Nintendo didn't want to release it in the US.

Does anyone else think that Samus sounds a bit like Gillian Anderson?
This game certainly does not translate well. It is way too Japanese and I agree, some of the dialogue is really painful.

I HATE THEM SO MUCH PLEASE MAKE THEM STOP!!!!!!

Does the Wii's D-pad hurt anyone else's fingers?
Nice RE4 reference in the subtitle, I was so disappointed that the crusty merchant didn't return in RE5, but I suppose that was the least of that games problems. (NINE BLOODY SQUARES OF HELL! Being my primary concern)
I bet the people Microsoft HQ died a little inside when they heard this story......
Re: Blur Review (2 years ago)
Great review, this game is great fun. The soundtrack is pure rubbish, but I suppose Bizarre figured that people just play their own music over the top anyway, so why bother?

It should also be noted that this game has really, really good splitscreen multiplayer, a rarity these days. Anyone with >1 controller should buy this to support splitscreen gaming. Racing with 3 other mates while taking on 6 other AI is pretty awesome, even if the AI always seems better than me.... Pity there's no splitscreen stat tracking a la MW2, but no issue.
Re: Guitar Hero 5 (2 years ago)
Fergy666, guitar hero 5 is a great pick, as the instruments are compatible with most other games, unlike rock band.

If you even have a slight interest in Metallica, GH:M comes highly recommended. There is something about Metallica songs that makes them really, really good to play with plastic instruments.
It is extreemly dissapointing that it is highly likely that Rock Band 3 will be released before Rock Band 2 in Australia. Does anyone understand why the delay still exists. Hell, I can go down the street and buy both RB: Green Day and RB: Beatles. Why not RB2?

I imported ages ago, and I'm glad I did.
Skate 3 is $60 at Zone Adrenalan in Melbourne if anyone is interested. I'd go pick one up, but my Xbox died yesterday :'(
Re: Wii price drop (3 years ago)
One wonders what prompted this? Let the hardware revision speculation begin.
Does this game support LAN battles on the PC?

One of the greatest features of the original was to have epic battles over LAN, however it seems that LAN play is going the way of split screen multiplayer. Could we blame Blizzard for it's stance on Starcraft 2 for this?
Damn, that Weta Workshop Halo Xbox looks pretty sweet. Best console design ever?

Halo Reach. No-one wants to go against that 60 pound gorilla.
Anyone care to comment on whether I should buy the Xbox or PC versions?

I have a fairly good gaming pc (Core i5, 4GB RAM, ATI 5770) and an Xbox 360 that has been used for a heap of MW2 lately. It hopefully should run well on my PC.

I play FPSs on either platform, but I am leaning towards PC in this case as I may not have to put up with the idiots on Live, the PC version is cheaper and there is no splitscreen (which sucks) on the 360.

Thanks.

I agree any chance we can see actual numbers be shifted????????????
I don't think you have a chance, then you would see how little sales you actually need to get into the charts.

I won't buy this on principle. It should have been free.
Anyone played this with the House of the Dead Hand Cannons?
Blasting aliens with those babies would be awesome.
