Man, those images are so pretty, can't wait till it's out as it looks as detailed as Blazblue in style anyway.
As for Devil Survivor 2, it's almost here. icon_biggrin.gif

I actually am hoping that the new Atlus game is a Snowboard Kids game akin to the original two games. They were some of the best racing games I've ever played, the DS version lacked something and ended up being enjoyable but forgettable.
Final boss (chaos) is absolutely brutal. Unfortunately I can't recall my MC's build and items. If you feel like the battle is impossible with your own demons, then I recommend getting password demons. An FAQ on GameFAQs had some, I got two of those after grinding money.
I will say this, even with password demons, the boss is always a close fight that requires an adaptive strategy (damn one shot moves).
I'm sure you know this from previous battles but having your chaos demons as your main members help. Good Luck
Re: Armageddon Expo (1 year ago)
I shall be going, it will be my 1st convention. I'm not sure what too expect at all. Still I'm excited, probably just gawk at cosplayers and buy random merchandise. I hope my body is ready icon_smile.gif
Finished a game recently, how recently? About a month ago and it is known as No More Heroes: Paradise.
I played the original, when it 1st came out, however without glasses I didn't notice some of the neat stuff in the game. The blood really does make the game though, it was just so much fun. The controls were initially odd, however after an hour they feel great (except for sword clashes that reminded me of mario party, spin dammit). The pacing felt off with the ported bosses, their inclusion was a good idea that brought up good memories of the sequel (I'd prefer someone other then Matt Helms though). icon_biggrin.gif
Anyway I figured, I'd take this moment to talk about some of the boss battles from the game.

Rank 7: Pretty easy fight, however getting to him took a lot of deaths and luck (Gun enemies icon_evil.gif ). The was a trophy for sending his Destroy Cannon back at him, once you know that the fight is easy. He got me good with Destroy Buster (ran into a wall icon_lol.gif ).

Rank 6: Quite a symbolic battle, well quite winnable, however pressing buttons over motion controls made the pitfalls ten-fold harder. Everything felt right in this battle: Strategy, difficulty, character, the outro, however there was one problem, the frame rate going down due too two of her abilities.

Rank 4: This boss had one of the greatest ways to begin the fight, it was like a show. An easy battle for sure, only one really difficult attack to dodge. The flashy one hit kill move was a nice touch, however it became frustrating when he spammed it at low health. Another fantastic idea was the playing with the camera, it's a simple yet great way to trip up the player and add that last stroke to characterise the boss. The music was quite fitting, making the player feel like they were performing whilst in battle (really nice touch).

Rank 3: The theme playing really fits the stakes that upped the ante during the intro to this fight. The actual battle was alright, I reckon this type of battle would work early in a game. Here it felt unnecessary and with the boss being regarded as a witch led the imagination to all these cool ideas. The battle just felt lousy and lacking execution. Was fun seeing enemies turn too dust though.

Rank 2: This was one of the most thrilling boss battles, I'll ever have. This battle felt like euphoria, it was brutal, harsh with little mistakes costing you your life. A crazy **** who fights you head on, with the swing that could send a man flying. The changes as you progress the fight, really make this a worthwhile experience. The battle that was waged was so close, both down too one more hit equals death for the opponent, yes I got this now, wait oh shit she is charging to smack a gimp. I'm screwed, but screw it go jumping slash... I won? Yes! (I died 3 times before winning and this one battle went for 20 minutes). The music sets the mood for strongest fight in the game. The outro shows the boss in a league of her own compared to the previous bosses.

Rank 1: The whole story fits together and you're facing one ball buster of a boss. The music reflects the severity of the situation Travis has gotten himself into. The fight itself is fast pace with the player having to utilise new ideas due too the easier ones having no effect. Definitely worthy of a final boss battles and what follows is the delicious cherry on top. icon_biggrin.gif

I love this game.
My TV seems to have died. The power doesn't appear to work anymore, as in the light won't function. icon_sad.gif . I'm not sure why, it happened after moving it. Any ideas on fixing it?

I really want to play more Disgaea 4.
Well Trigun is a mix of comedy, action and drama (on the later episodes anyway). School Rumble is great stuff, closest to comedy was Ouran for me but it's also dramatic. Man, my memory is hazy back 3-4 years ago I had heaps, suppose that's due too mainly watching dubs now.
If I'm allowed to spin into cartoon territory, Megas XLR is a hilarious show that reflects gamers, giant robots, aliens. Zoids New century and chaotic century are good as well. There is also Afro Samurai which is like Gantz in a few areas (fighting to survive).

Holy crap there is a Xenosaga anime icon_surprised.gif , I just found what to watch after Baccano, currently on episode 3. "We will be the 1st people to steal from the Earth" icon_lol.gif
I hear ya.
I wonder if anyone will be suffering from Persona 4 overload icon_lol.gif
I'll probabaly be buying all I can. Still can't wait for Persona 4 anime, also Devil Survivor 2 looks to be a strong fun game icon_smile.gif
I've heard positive things about Gurren Lagann, but I haven't seen any of it (damn year 12).
Oh here is a must recommend Trigun, think of a anime western that features a hilarious yet tragic potagonist. He has a giant bounty upon his head, but is a master of gun-slinging even if you call him an idiot. My description does not give it justice (really need to get better at that) anyway the protagonist is like Ragna from Blazblue except less angry and more happy go lucky.

You could also watch Pokemon icon_lol.gif , however Black and White's team Rocket is pretty sweet though. Full Metal Alchemist is great too, Brotherhood is more serious and has more action while the other has more exposition on characters that are totally awesome (Hawkeye, Hughs).

I could help more if I knew what in particular you're interested in (Drama, Comedy, Thriller, Action etc).
Fooly Cooly icon_lol.gif I remember watching the 1st episode, thinking what's so great about this anime? Then the manga scene happened, it was all uphill from there. Fantastic stuff.

Nooooo! You dropped Ouran Host Club icon_sad.gif

Anyway you may be interested in Soul Eater, however I think a reboot is in process currently. School Rumble 2nd season is pretty good too.
I accidentally killed my 1 gig ipod shuffle. I loved the randomness of the songs icon_sad.gif
I have a girlfriend now, yay icon_biggrin.gif

Also did kinda well on my mid years Psychology B and C+ in Chemistry. Physics was terrible, but I wasn't the worse icon_smile.gif
Re: So, Trophies (1 year ago)
I'm 14% of the way there. I keep dying like crazy and bronzing nearly every stage. I still intend to get Platinum for Catherine.
Also anyone know how hard it is to Plat Lego harry potter and Mass effect 2?
Persona 4 the animation, looks like it'll be great, I wonder what social links they'll cram in there. Can't wait, also that is such a great song.

I get the feeling my Catherine won't be arriving for a while as ozgameshop is out of stock and my pre-order still says awaiting release date icon_confused.gif I guess that will teach me to pre-order the week before release.
Have fun to ya's who got it/ receiving it.
Re: One Questions (1 year ago)
Hey, I was trying to watch Soul Eater on blu ray, however a message came up saying that this blu ray can only be played on region A. On the back of the case, it say region A and B (this is on the PS3 region B) so is there a way for the disc to be read differently or to change the settings?
Finally Pre-ordered hooray.
I screwed up and couldn't use coupons of 20% off, damn my lack of attention. Can't wait hopefully it arrives by Friday. icon_smile.gif
Went to an 18th, it was wow.
At the start of the night I was awkward and when dancing, worse then a rigid robot. However I kinda got drunk (maybe not kinda) and then I was dancing all over the place, having fun. Yay!
So yeah my confidence tripled, uh my friends kept trying to get me to dance with a girl in uni, twas fun.
A friend kinda did a Catherine (without the smanging) which was bad, but I got to talk with him for bout 2 hours which was good.

I couldn't get to sleep, so I walked home in a suit. Liek a boss icon_lol.gif and currently without hangover or throwing up. I think it was the most drunk I've been, Bourbon and coke is a great combo.
Love and Peace icon_razz.gif
I do...
For about 2 reasons, 1st being that they're different compared to most puzzle games while the second is that puzzles are a great way of sharpening the mind. Plus I'm willing to bet there will be a dose of symbolism in each puzzle (bosses probably).

That being said, the dating sim stuff will almost definitely be more interesting. I figure most people will be willing to trudge through the puzzles to get to more story and still be satisfied with their purchase.
However it's also likely that fans will be disappointed considering the hype and the way it's been marketed for the most part.
Sounds rad icon_razz.gif

Anyway on another subject, say someone reveals who you like to the very person you like and then your friends start saying should be a couple and yadda yadda. Is it considered a good thing, if she doesn't object, but sits there nervously smiling. If it helps she laughs and smiles at some of my jokes.

@Benza
I'm frightened by the premise too.
Seriously it's more to do with feeling like a fool, instead of the usual, I'm smart but unhappy way that I've been for about 2 years.
In other words I think the premise of my mind has changed for the better icon_smile.gif
Doing Math homework, seriously I forgot nearly everything to do with shapes and geometry. What is the area of a rectangle, Me: mmmhhh this is hard, I have length and height but surely it couldn't be that easy, better check google. So learnt a lot today, a kite shape thing is called a kite. icon_lol.gif
I feel like a fool, but it's making me happy.

Also having wacky awesome dreams and shaking off being sick icon_smile.gif
Strange Journey is a great game, I wouldn't have been able to beat it without the help of password demons and hording macca.
The last few bosses are positively brutal, in a good way of course, absolutely love it when a game throws heaps of challenge at you at the end (unless it's because of the controls). icon_smile.gif

Oropher, I doubt you'll regret your purchase.

Pagan, which path did you end up on?
DDR style battles of final fantasy, I could totally get behind that icon_razz.gif
I concur and support Esposch's greatest game of all time statement.

I'm starting to consider buying a 3ds, anyway quick question if anyone knows if an NTSC 3ds and a PAL one would be able to connect, like street-pass and wireless connectivity?
I found Radiant Dawn to be quite good and loved the challenge (even easy mode had some rough spots), however I really hated how the support system changed. It also took for ever to figure out how "coins" worked in forge. It was an enjoyable game but pales compared too Path of Radiance.
*For some reason I really want to play them again, even though I recently beat them around 3-4 months ago.

Also Hurrah SMT: Devil Summoner is finished, very strong narrative, starts off really slowly but after that you feel like you're woven into the story. The combat started to grate on me at the end (Repulse water yay icon_smile.gif ), basically it felt like Kingdom Hearts 1, which is do able but outdated. Seems the sequel has fixed that, while I'm at it using demons is a big help. Bosses were quite hard especially the later ones, where I was like die already!
Devil fusion was awesome fun, Jack Frost with maragi sure why not. icon_razz.gif
Still the best part of the game was the characters, who are really interesting with plenty of twist. The end area is amazing and really sets up the final boss, as well as providing a fair dose of information on SMT.

Strive for your dreams and remember there is hope, at least that's what a dog told me by mind reading (in game).
Finished Super Mario Galaxy, not too hard, skipped out on the last area. Intending to get 120 stars and beat once more as weegee.
Still great game, loved the gravity, presentation and music. The boss battles seemed a little weak (looking at you topmaniac).
Currently resting on 65 stars and the Terrance is fully completed.
I also liked how the toads seem to actually be trying to do something. icon_biggrin.gif

Is Galaxy 2, more or less the same, better or worse (thinking about buying it)?
Sorry for the delay, I kinda swore off games till the week of exams, due to fear of getting distracted.

Anyway, I beat Skies of Arcadia as well. It was a great and memorable game. I found the final boss to was quite a challenge, mainly due to no aura of valors. (Accidentally, had to fight the last bounty person) Anyway I really like the way the final battle was done, the second round was my favourite, due to the chance of easily dying. Full health to less then a quarter in one turn.
I was close to finishing the moonfish sidequest, however, I didn't get the land of ice one, no idea on the other 2 or 3.
I did watch the cut scene, it was overboard, but works considering how your vision of a role model, when shattered is disheartening to say the least.

I've resumed SMT: Devil Summoner, up to episode 4 the missing shipments. The music is great, (got a new ps2, so sound quality is great icon_biggrin.gif ).

Also started dubbing disaster Arc Rise Fantasia, it's a pretty good game. The 1st boss schooled me, pretty bad, thought I had it in the bag. He started spamming nightmare. The boss battle music is fantastic and I find the voice work to be of the so bad it's good style.
It appears some of my friends are starting to hate me. Awesome. Okay here is the scenario, mid years are coming up and most of my friends have become serious except for me because I hate being so serious.

So while I act carefree, when I'm actually studying as much as I can. They get the idea that I'm being slack and getting decent to great marks. This causes accusations of I don't deserve the marks. In some of the frees I share with them, they're talking while I'm doing what i can. It was funny to start with, but now it's just annoying and delusional (I've tried to explain but got yelled at instead).
Now it appears to be over Facebook, which is kinda low since I don't have one.

In short: Why can't people relax and lighten up, instead of getting angry at those who do?

Also giving up video games for 2 weeks, Day 3 and I'm bored icon_lol.gif
I can't believe this went under my radar.

But anyway **** yeah, I really wanna buy it again and face those awesome assasins again. Plus it will have blood yay blood. icon_biggrin.gif
Okay update on Skies of Arcadia,
I hated those Stingray fish things, at 1st I figured it was a boss battle for getting it wrong. But then it happened multiply times, didn't help that half my shots were completely missing. So yeah after a bunch of soft resets, I got what I came for.

Spoilers till Silver shrine

The battle with De Loco was unexpected, it was quite a battle. That crazy guy using a harpoon cannon, to do his best to finish things. He was a good mad scientist and stopped at nothing to achieve his goals.
The destruction of your base was quite a twist too, forcing everyone to help each other out and rebuild was cool too.
What I liked most of that part was Ramirez's flashback to the people he meet in Valua, the exact same upper class Valuan you see/talk too early on. Which allows you to see why he has a strong hatred of people.
I was impressed by the shrine, it was nicely done.

On TWEWY i'm up to the final 3rd of the game and trying to get the reaper sports down. I've had a bit of luck with pins too, I got a pin that creates a barrier of water and heals icon_razz.gif Getting used to split screen finally.

So little time, I guess.
Haha, I wish I had justice shield, would probably have a lot more easier bounty/boss fights. Anyway I did manage to obtain the yellow crystal and then I continued onto about 5 hours later.
I'll do a more detailed post about it on friday or saturday as fairly busy again (mid-years and a lot of SACs are coming), so yeah...

Oh yeah my Swashbuckler rating rose like a phoenix, throughout getting the yellow crystal and afterwards. I was really thankful for it as I've wanted to take on Mr. Impostor for approximately 4 or so years. I think Skies was my best impulse purchase ever, I just saw and went "pirates and sky ships" and had to buy it. icon_biggrin.gif
This could work very well. I hope it has Hwoarang as his awesome and also Lei because it's Lei.
The CG looks good and hopefully it'll be chock full of fights.
I'm tempted to watched it now, watched the opening and Durarara looks like fun.

I finished watching Gantz which is a dark, gripping, sadistic anime, it was really good and was really strong, except for the abrupt ending. Basically the plot is if you die you may be transported to a room to participate in a game for survival. If you kill the target, you live another day, till you're called back again and if you're killed it's game over.

Warning it's an R 18+ anime due to blood, gore, adult themes, nudity etc.

It mainly caught my eye because it had the same concept of a certain game, the you're dead, but here is a chance to live again idea (if you guys know similar anime let me know).

I would love for Blazblue and TWEWY, to be made into animes, any games you guys like to be made into a anime?
