This isn't really a surprise anymore, is it?
As of today, I am resigning from PALGN. The last year and nine months has been an amazing ride for me, allowing me to work (and in one case, meet) with some truly talented and awesome people. Thank you to Jeremy, Adam, Anthony and the rest of the editorial team for supporting me every step of the way. Thank you to the rest of my staff writers as well: Jahanzeb, Jarrod, Cody, Cian, Denny, Andrew, Kim and Adam Guetti. Without you guys, it wouldn't have been half as fun as it was.
Thank you PALGN for giving me the opportunity to play some awesome (and some terrible) games that I would not try out otherwise. I know I haven't been the most active forum member, but I have grown to love the crazy shenanigans that go on in this community. And so, thank you for being an awesome bunch of people too.
And to anyone who's read any of my reviews - you deserve some love as well. The main reason why I applied for this position wasn't just to play video games as a solid excuse for not doing anything else - it was also to get more of my writing out there and develop my style. Thanks to you guys, I now know for sure that this is what I love doing. It means a lot to get feedback. That being said, I won't be hopping on board with Something Rocket as a regular contributor. As per my chat with Adam, I'll be doing a few guest articles every now and then. I will see you on the forums though!
Did I forget something? Probably. But for now:

Thank you all very much for your support. I'd just like to let you guys know that we had our industry night yesterday and we won "Most Commercially Viable game" from Halfbrick!

SHMUP ON, GUY!
Re: What made you smile today? (1 year ago)
Two things:
1. Being a retail donkey, all I can hope for at work is that a customer finally says: "You are a great salesperson." And that happened!
2. My team and I presented our game, Awien Ambush, at our uni industry night yesterday. When they were announcing awards we were like IT'S FUTILE WE WON'T WIN ANYTHING and then suddenly... "Most Commercial Game" award get! The mind is still reeling.

Great review Jeremy! I have no doubt that this will be my finest Day One purchase this year.
But after seeing a particular post on Facebook, I need to ask... is Nate topless in this one?

Re: Recommend me some good horror films! (1 year ago)
If you're a fan of shaky-cam films, I watched a good one called Home Movie a while back. Essentially it's about a man who films his family doing every day things... except his children are really quite bizarre. Lots of disturbing things in here.
Also Event Horizon.
