All the best Cody
I guess now is as good of a time as any to tell you I was your Secret Santa in 2010. Now that the secret is out, I can finally sleep.

I have to say though. The manual it comes with is.. interesting. Instead of a standard booklet you'd expect, you get a folded piece of paper similar to a map which has all the information on it.
The other weird thing was the game wasn't factory sealed... well at least I thought that was weird.

Well, looks like I will have to play Journey of the Cursed King when I get time, still have a lot to beat though and Uni doesn't help production rates.
Esperino, what website is that code for? because Ghostlight are selling it for roughly $60AUD while Ozgameshop sell it for $44 I believe.

Yeah, pretty much didn't even need to pre-order at all. I could have just walked in and bought them anyway. They were still happy to take my deposit at the time though, I guess they don't really "reserve" them which I was lead to believe. Well, I know it's petty but I'll see about getting a refund tomorrow and I might grab the LE from the NISA store.
I asked them about Neptunia and they didn't know what I was talking about. Looked it up in the system, found it and will try to get me the artbook from Head Office.
The artbooks are slimmed down versions of the ones you would get from NIS America in their L/Es. Still pretty nice though, lots of pretty pictures. You can take a look at mine online later today

@Pagan: That sucks, the EB Games I went to gave me the Art Book for Ar Tonelico 3 and are still waiting on the Neptunia Art Books from Head Office

Re: Best Preorder Bonus??? (2 years ago)
I pay attention to pre-order bonuses like you wouldn't believe and some of the bonuses of late have been really good, sometimes better than the game itself.
Doctor Who on the Wii gave you a Sonic Screwdriver Wii-Mote worth RRP $79.95 for pre-ordering, much better than the game itself.
Epic Mickey gave you a figurine from EB or a Nunchuk from Big W.
Scribblenauts Hat would definitely be rated up there as one of the best in terms of creativity, design and not looking or feeling cheap.
Fallout 3 and Splinter Cell Conviction gave some really nice extras as well.
Some good pre-order bonuses of late would have to be the Yakuza 4 Ichiban Box, Enslaved Soundtrack, DLC and Mini Comic combo, Artbooks for Ar Tonelico Qoga and Hyperdimension Neptunia, Tactics Ogre Tarot Card (pretty good quality) and what I think is the best pre-order going around at the moment - The Witcher 2 Premium Edition with DLC, Laser Mouse and Mouse Pad as a bonus.

I spent about a month in Adelaide during my Uni break one year and some of the best days were spent just relaxing in my relative's home. It definitely a nice change from the hustle and bustle of Melbourne living. There's always a silver lining to any situation I reckon.
You can still go for a walk and get out to take in some fresh air if you get bored.

Re: What made you smile today? (2 years ago)
I just received a Valentine's Day card at my workplace from my girlfriend. Was definitely unexpected
Bought a big stupid smile to my face ^_^
I gave her a red wii remote with nunchuk on the weekend. I told her it was her Valentine's Day gift since it was red. She was clearly disappointed but pretended to like it.
Truth is I was just teasing her, her real gift are two rings I picked up on the weekend. Will give them to her tonight during dinner.
Good thing she doesn't read this forum or I would be buggered

On the way to Big W I saw a JB and decided to drop in. Picked up Bioshock 2 CE and a few other hard to find Wii and DS games. As I was paying I eyed the Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 CE behind the counter. Asked if it was for sale, she said yes and I took it straight away. The sales girl made a remark that she wished she could just buy things on sight like me.

Re: Your newest purchase (2 years ago)
These purchases were from a long while and go back before Christmas, some weren't really purchases but were gifts for Christmas and my birthday that just passed.
iPad 64GB + WiFi with Case and Screen Protector - Christmas Gift
Got this for Christmas from my girlfriend. Funny thing was I was going to get an iPad for her Christmas present but she beat me to the punch by one day. When I opened it, the first thing I said was '$hit' and laughed. She said that wasn't the reaction she was hoping for.
I told her why my reaction was like that and she laughed too. Plus side is she uses it more than me.
I ended up getting her quite a bit of jewelry for her Christmas present instead.
2.1 Channel iPhone/iPod Speaker Dock - Gift
Apple iPad Keyboard - Gift
$30 iTune Giftcard - Gift
My very good friend and his girlfriend got me these for my Christmas / Birthday. I wasn't expecting anything so it was a really nice surprise that they remembered hehe
Tales of Monkey Island Deluxe Edition - Christmas Gift
Gift from my brother. I can't remember if I told him I wanted this but it was an awesome surprise. He let me have it before Christmas so that was kind of neat.
Giant Yoshi Remote Control Kart - Christmas Gift
A few years back I got given the small Yoshi as a gift. This year my brother's gf gave me this awesome giant racing kart. I don't think she knew I had the small one so its really cool that she knows my taste in things.
Hatsune Miku CM Ver. Figure - Birthday Gift
Persona 3 FES Metis Figure - $35
Brother got me the Hatsune Miku CM Ver. I like figures but I'm not religiously collecting them or anything. Will open it up and display when I have a cabinet to put her in. Metis figure I got from a local hobby shop when it closed down. Was meant to be 50% (down from $79.95) but she was in good spirits and gave it to me for $35.
Forever Friends Hug in a Mug with Soft Toy - Birthday Gift
Swatch Watch - Birthday Gift
Gifts from my girlfriend. Gave me a mug so I could have a nice big mug at work for my coffee. I haven't worn a watch in ages. Its nice to have something to cover up my bare wrist.
So that was pretty much all the gifts I got for my birthday and Christmas. On to what I actually did purchase for myself
Sony Bravia 32" LCD TV Bundle with 120GB PS3, HDMI Cable and 3 x Blu Ray Movies - $797 from Big W
This was the Online Only special from a few weeks back. I threw out the big box that it came in and sold off the PS3 for $350 so pretty much was approx. $450 for a 32" Full HD LCD TV with accessories.

Red Yoshi Plushie - Gift

Some of the games are missing because they are at my girlfriend's place.
Blazblu Continuum Shift Fan Edition (PS3) - approx. $110 AUD from Zen United
Supposedly limited to 500 pieces I believe. Definitely not the best Collector's Edition I've ever seen. The mousepad was a bonus since the game got delayed so many times.
World of Warcraft Cataclysm Collector's Edition (PC) - $108 from EB
Came with a couple of bonus posters. I got this on release day. I remember the street date got broken early so even though I was there at 7pm after work for what was supposedly a BIG launch.... I was the only one there. The EB staff were even vacuuming at that time.

Crash Bandicoot Warped Media Kit (PS1) - $100
I got this one last year at Supanova. Its individually numbered and is quite a large box. I was there on a Sunday so was pretty surprised it survived the Saturday and no one picked it up. The Beatles Rock Band (Sealed) (PS3) - $20
Marvel Super Hero Squad : The Infinity Gauntlet (PS3) - $20
Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection (PS3)
Super Street Fighter IV (PS3) - $34 from UK

Well I suspected this was the case but now I have a definitive answer, but my best friend (who btw is female) doesn't like my new girlfriend. She hasn't even met her yet thinks she is crazy. I don't know if it's a jealousy thing or what. My gf wants to meet her but she doesn't want to meet her so I am caught in the middle. I don't want to lose my friend but at the same time I don't want to lose my gf either.
Perhaps just ask her what it is that bothers her about your gf and you can resolve the issue that way, since you are best friends so you should be able to openly talk about it with her.
She should be happy that you've met someone you care about.... if she's truly a friend

Reminded me of yesterday at work
5:19PM Lady calls us, I answer
Her: Hi, what time do you close today?
Me: 5:30 Today
Her: So if my husband comes down you'll be open?
Me: Uhh... if he gets here before 5:30, then yes...
God damn

10 minutes from closing time someone with their kids decides to come in with a million and one questions while the kids are touching everything and bouncing off the walls. Would end up leaving work at 5:30pm instead of 5:00pm and have a dirty workplace to come back to on Monday morning.

Heavy Rain. This game is the scariest, most intense **** I've had the pleasure of playing. My hands are usually shaking by the end of the action sequences.

Yesterday I finished 'Become Legendary' mode on NBA Elite 11. Took down the Atlanta Hawks with the help of Bogut, Jennings and my other team members in the Milwaukee Bucks to take out the NBA Championships. Was quite a feat given I played some 60 odd games at approximately 15 minutes a game. Ended up getting drafted to the Boston Celtics so I can do it all again

Re: Your newest purchase (2 years ago)
Having a day off work today so thought I'd go in pick this little baby up:
Dead Space 2 Collector's Edition (XBOX 360) with BONUS DLC from EB
Packaging is absolutely stunning. Foil texture from front to back. The package is smaller than I expected. I had an image of a full size Plasma Cutter similiar to that of the Bayonetta replica Scarborough Fair.
Little Big Planet 2 Standard Edition (PS3) with BONUS Sackboy - EB
Little Big Planet 2 Collector's Edition (PS3) with BONUS Sackboy - Game Exchange
Forgot to pre-order the Collector's when it was originally announced so just got a standard version. I got told there were two different Sackboys for pre-order but I didn't actually think it was true. I think the smaller Sackboy is superior in cuteness
Splatterhouse Coffin Edition (XBOX 360) - Game Exchange
There was no special edition released locally and from my understanding these coffins were only available through the press and via competitions. Each coffin is individually numbered and is 1 of 666 made. Came with a game, t-shirt and skull USB stick. Very nice indeed.

^^ Hehe.. I used to have the Bladerunner adventure game for PC, back in the 90's, and if you go out on the balcony of the main character's apartment, it had this nice soft music reminiscent of Bladerunner but not the original soundtrack and also had the sounds of the city. I used to leave this running while I slept too.. lol..
So many great games from that era with a "cyberpunk" theme. Syndicate by Bullfrog is another one that is classic to me.
Just reminiscing on Shadowrun again, whenever other characters would call me a 'drekhead' in-game, that always gave me a good laugh.
