what hardcore band's were you in? i'm quite big on 90's hardcore in australia.
Ahhhh I want your setup! I've really been looking for a Jazzmaster for a while. Also, I REALLY like your band! Are you a fan of True Widow?

What amp do you use?

Life drawing is a good excuse to see naked chicks... but a great way to learn to draw the human form well too icon_lol.gif

Enjoy...

Cool band btw, I'm not into screamo, but I love the instrumentals you guys produce, pretty awesome.
(pet peeve) Agrr not screamo!

This is screamo:

This could be a real album. icon_smile.gif icon_smile.gif

As for a floor tuner I'd say a Korg Pitchblack. Much cheaper than the Boss one, and very accurate. True bypass as well.
Flikr didn't let me save the first few images, they had a floating gif in front of them. The picture I got was actually after a few refreshes.
Hmm, I really like this game!

i imagine this would be a french screamo band influenced by melodic post-rock ala suis la lune:

or post rock ala explosions in the sky:

Only just noticed this thread... anyone interested in a Behringer TO800? It's a suprisingly good pedal, just not interested in that side of dirt pedals though anymore
Re: Artwork (3 years ago)
Wow, that's some impressive rendering.
Re: Avatar (3 years ago)
Falling for amazing graphics, sure. The storyline wasn't all that great on second thoughts, but really, the 3D effects is what this movie is about. Without that, it would be just any other sci-fi movie.
Re: Avatar (3 years ago)
Saw it yesterday. The 3D effects were phenominal, (this is coming from someone who's colour blind and never experienced the crappy 3D effects in Shrek 3D etc) the storyline was great, and the scenery amazing. I think this is more or less a showcase film for Real3D than anything else, though. There were a few moments where I was thinking 'come on, pan down this cliff face' or 'make the dragon bite out into the screen' and so on, which the film didn't provide - which I think further shows the quality of the 3D.

Although gimmicky, I could easily watch it again because of the 3D.
Pff singers aren't musicians! icon_razz.gif

Just kidding. Was mainly talking as a huge generalisation.
Re: Q about LCD TV (3 years ago)
What exactly is the problem with the TV?
I think it also depends if you're a serious music listener, or a casual. A casual listener might like the easy going melody in a song like Down and possibly appreciate a catchy chorus, but if you're a dedicated listener you might want to look deeper - and something like the extremely shallow Down by Jay Sean simply can't provide. I have yet to find a serious music listener or musician who listens to commerial radio for it's musical content for this reason.

The song Down by Jay Sean...
I see your song choice, and i raise you the current Lady Gaga song + the other annoying song that Katy Perry has a guest vocal role in.

I actually prefer both of those songs to Down. It's something about the blant use of 'creative' autotune that pisses me off so much... I think it ties with that song with the lyric "I'm walking round the town feeling like P-Diddy... Now the party don't start til I come in..." etc etc. The problem is, where I work they play all 4 of these songs on repeat on the radio station that's on, and it makes a 9 hour shift feel like 90...
The song Down by Jay Sean...
Re: Your Music of 2009 (3 years ago)
I probably have completely different tastes to everyone else, but:

Favourite Album: Iron Age - The Sleeping Eye
Favourite Song: DaĆÆtro - Part II
Worst Song: Jay Sean - Down
Suprisingly good album: Kylesa - Static Tensions
Album that did not live up to your standards: Blacklisted - No One Deserves To Be Here More Than Me
Album/s you are most looking forward to next year: Hopefully the EP with my new band!
Re: Avatar (3 years ago)
I'm going to see this with a few mates on Monday, can't wait. Anything I should see before seeing Avatar? (Trailers, etc)
True! It was a shame Bonham isn't around to drum anymore. The energy wasn't there either - of course, I wasn't in the crowd though.
True... but I'm hopeful they can still make something decent out of it. I hope it's more than the pitiful Led Zeppelin 'reunion'...
Wow, this has made my day! I haven't listen to Soundgarden for ages...
Re: PlayTV (3 years ago)
This is the one thing that has got me set on a PS3. Shame about the lack of backwards compatibility in the slim PS3's icon_sad.gif

Am I correct in thinking that this would be a set-top box replacement? Is it easy to get to through the menus for older people?
