God of War III Session Results in Actual Broken Bones
Quote
Playing God of War III can be dangerous business, it seems. Witness one player who apparently got so into the game that they actually managed to break their hand in the process.
Gizmodo has the x-ray, which was sent to them by a physician saying that one of their patients go so "caught up in playing God of War III that he rolled over his hand with his knee and broke two fingers." The unnamed physician said that it was the first time he had seen "such an extreme gaming injury."

It's actually difficult to imagine how this might have occurred. Maybe the injury occurred after he had set down the controller to watch a cutscene?

Regardless, we have to feel bad for this poor God of War fan. It can't be comfortable holding the controller with a broken hand.
I loled...
First add-on to Quantic Dream's critically acclaimed game arrives on April Fools' Day for $5; will offer additional backstory to journalist character
Quote
Billed as the first chapter of the Heavy Rain Chronicles--of which there are several DLC add-ons planned--"The Taxidermist" pack provides some new background on one of the game's main characters, the reporter Madison Paige. It chronicles one of the early investigations that put her on the trail of the Origami Killer. For a quick glimpse of the add-on, check out the video below.

Heavy Rain was developed by Quantic Dream, the Paris-based shop behind 2005's Indigo Prophecy (aka Fahrenheit) for the PC, PlayStation 2, and Xbox. Like that critically acclaimed title, Heavy Rain eschews normal game conventions for a more cinematic approach, focusing on complex storytelling and emotion via realistic graphics. Heavy Rain follows the pursuit of a mysterious serial murderer, with players controlling several characters who must collect clues in a film-noir-style setting to crack the case.
Re: Apple? (3 years ago)
iPhone 4G to actually be named iPhone HD?

Quote
Apple could be set to release the iPhone HD later this year, according to a new video 'uncovered' by a tech fan.

A new commercial discovered on YouTube shows the new iPhone HD, and brings up a new phone with a radically new chassis.

We're taking this 'discovery' with so much salt that we're in danger of drying up completely - we can't imagine that Apple would change the iPhone design so much for the upgrade, as maintaining chassis shape and basic specs makes for easier and cheaper upgrades.

The iPhone HD would basically mean a phone with a higher-power camera, apparently a front-facing camera for video conferencing, and a new high-res screen.

Although the second point does tally with forthcoming tariff changes to allow video calling on an iPhone, the rest just seems a bit fanboy-friendly to be taken seriously.

But it does solve the problem of what the next iPhone will be called (iPhone 4G would be too confusing ahead of the actual high speed 4G services coming in a few years) and iPhone HD has a very Jobs-y ring to it.

Have a look at the video below and tell us what you think - accidental leak from Apple or someone getting a bit over-excited with iMovie?

Creation of Hd towns would have added another 4 discs on 360,that could be another reason of not creating them. icon_lol.gif
Actually it wouldn't have. The game itself only takes up 6.8GB which can be held on a single dual-layered DVD. The rest of the data filling up the 3 discs is just the cutscenes.
What makes FF ps3 version better then 360.From images there seems to be huge difference in quality.Could it be compress data? which makes 360 inferior.
I like the changes done to FFXIII,it's a subtle change but a shrewd one.

Well as much as I don't like her music she probably has as much credibility as a lot of the videogame "jouralists" currently on the web...

With about a month until Dante's Inferno's release, EA and Gamestop are hoping to shore up the game's pre-order numbers. They're offering two new pre-order incentives for the hack-and-slasher.
From now until January 11th at 11 am CST, reserving Dante's Inferno will get you an 8% discount as well as a free figurine of Dante. The discount shaves $4.80 off the full price of the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions and $3.20 off the PSP version. Not a huge savings, true, but if you're going to buy the game anyway, might as well save some cash and get a neat action figure.
Inferno hits North America on February 9th. The European release will follow on February 12th.
