One of my mates that lives about 30km away from me said he saw a white star very close to the moon. I don't know different your perspective is over there, but does it sound similar to yours?
Yup, the one I saw was fairly close to the Moon, and stood out in the sky because it was brighter and bigger than other stars. Probably just Mars or Jupiter on a close orbit...
Re: Strange spaceship? (2 years ago)
Hmm...Not sure if I saw the same thing but I saw some unusually big light in the sky tonight too? It stood out because it was like 3 to 4 times the size of a star (Well, viewing it from earth icon_razz.gif) so I'm not sure, could be anything! Oh and this was from Sydney haha
Re: Your newest purchase (2 years ago)
Got a new Xbox 360 Slim today from JB HI FI. $399 - a $30 gift card I had which totals $369!!!

Pretty awesome deal in my opinion for the console! And I'm loving the whisper quietness of it and the built in wifi. It's a gem!!!!
Re: The Birthday Thread (2 years ago)
Turned 15 last Wednesday:) Finally can buy MA Games and go into MA movies by myself or with mates!
Re: Your newest purchase (2 years ago)
Finally gave in and bought an iPhone 3gs on a 24mth Contract.

Couldn't wait for the iPhone 4 and I'm not too picky about an extra camera and a better resolution (The rest will be in an OS update anyway) so yeah I'm STOKED!

Gamingwise:

Been waiting all week for Mass Effect 2 to be in stock at Offerhouse. Then courtesy of Xbox.com forums, saw Bioshock 2 at $40 posted, so I picked that up:) Then, 5 minutes later, Mass Effect 2 coincidentally was restocked on the Offerhouse website, so that's 2 purchases in 5 minutes icon_smile.gif.

Hopefully on Sunday I will get Bad Company 2 from JB. Shame there's no Region free version of this so JB here I come!!
Getting btten by an ant in the middle of my back at cricket. Feeling the bite and then 2 minutes later I catch the ant inside my shirt. The ant anages to get out alive and then I have an achy back now icon_neutral.gif And it wasn't just 1 bite, it bit me 4 times!!

Is this on Wii and 360 too? I can't seem to find them.
Yeah, if you wanna make some money back, sell your RRoD console on Ebay. People buy them for spare parts:)

Don't forget being tried as an adult, that's an important one. Especially if booze and guns are involved.
Haha no more Juvie eh:)
Re: Your newest purchase (3 years ago)
Bought AC2 off a fellow PALGNer:)
Re: Controllers from UK (3 years ago)
Yeah wouldn't see anything wrong with them. The only ones you gotta watch out for are those look-a-likes coming from Hong Kong etc.
Thanks dude. Yeah this one was by far the easiest. There was the odd mission which made me rage (hard) until I realised that I could just run through the enemy without taking them out to get to the next checkpoint. Only works in MW2 though, because in the other CoD's, the enemies keep spawning icon_neutral.gif
YAY! I finally finished Modern Warfare 2 on Veteran today. Pretty awesome campaign+ I'm so happy since it's the first Veteran campaign I've finished in the Call of Duty series!
Fifa 10
I vote this my Game of The Year because it's just an allround good game. I have many friends who have never played a sports video game and they picked up the controls with ease and loved the game.

Fifa 10 also has great gameplay with many licensed teams to keep gamers interested and happy to play as their real life heroes. I also was very impressed with the loading on Fifa 10, although this all started in Fifa 08 I think. Instead of watching a bleak black screen while waiting for your match to load, you could have a little kick around with a player of your choice in what is called the "Arena".

Finally, what really put the icing on the cake in this game was the online/Xbox Live side of the game. Matches are (mostly) lag free and the different online gametypes that are available to play are just amazing- from playing a League amongst all of your friends to playing with a team of 9 other players in a 10 player Pro Club Championship.

So yeah, that's why I am voting Fifa 10 for Game Of The Year!

Re: Christmas presents (3 years ago)
My parents bought my a base Wii pack (GAME's special deal going on right now) but I've had to fork out cash to buy Band Hero, Super Mario Bros., Mario Kart and others....Looking like a good Christmas to me icon_biggrin.gif
Just to let you know, MS will probably charge you from $130 all the way up to maybe the $170 mark to do an out of warranty repair, so you'd be way better off buying a new console (Plus, the new console will have a Jasper chipset and will be way more reliable)

BTW, Anyone know if the Bioshock is Classic/Standard Or the Tin Case?
It would be (as pictured) the standard edition. GAME do always state the editions of their gasmes VERY precisely.

Haha Azza, in fact I absolutely hate Vegemite. Worst thing I've ever tasted. I guess I'm not "Australian" icon_razz.gif

Re: Gaming Bargains V2 (3 years ago)
BIGW will be selling Xbox 360 Arcades for $198 on Boxing Day. Heard it off another forum.
LOL! Nearly as funny as the message that came up when you bought something from them on Mad Monday! (........You're Awesome!)
Re: Buying games online (3 years ago)
I use game.com.au for local preorders/bargains- Very good shipping (Courier, takes 1-2 days to arrive).

As for overseas, I have used 365games.co.uk as they have great prices on some games (Well, most games) and also mymemory.co.uk who also have great prices. Both sites take about 1.5-2 weeks to ship to Sydney.
1. Borderlands
2. Fifa 10
3. Assassins Creed 2
4. Forza 3 Motorsport
5. Modern Warfare 2
