Been at home looking after my mum since she had eye surgery on Boxing Day and as such, I haven't had the time to take pics of my latest purchases...or go video game shopping since then.

Anyway here are my latest purchases since my last post (about 2 weeks ago):

Need For Speed MegaBloks Porche 911 GT3 RS - $15
Need For Speed MegaBloks Audi R8 - $15
Need For Speed MegaBloks Ford Mustang RTR-X - $20
Need For Speed MegaBloks McLaren MP4-12C - $15

Since picking up the Nissan GTR Megabloks car as a pre-order bonus, I've had my eye on the remainder of the cars and was so excited when I saw that GAME had these cars for sale during the Christmas period. The Ford Mustang was $5 more expensive because my local GAME ran out and the price went back up to $20 before I could find a GAME store that had the Mustang icon_biggrin.gif

Video Game Pre-Order/Promo Items - $90

I purchased these pre-order/promo items for that same seller again. I noticed that she missed out including a NFS keyring and to make up for it, she included the two Mario hats and another F1 USB along with my parcel...sooo happy because my girlfriend wanted her own Mario hats and I can give them to her for free icon_biggrin.gif

Dragon Quest VI Realms of Reverie for DS - $15
Golden Sun Dark Dawn for DS - $15
Chronicles Samurai Warriors (x2) for 3DS - $25 each
Pokemon White Edition for DS - $25
Pokemon Black Edition for DS - $25
Uncharted 3 Guide - $28

The above games (minus the guide book) didn't cost me a thing as I had a Coles Myer gift card from work.

PS3 games from Myer. Not really sure about prices I paid for them as it's been a while, however they were before the Boxing Day sale and were about 50% off the marked clearance price. Oddly enough, we had a Singstar party at my girlfriend's co-workers house on Christmas Eve till 3-4 in the morning...I was pretty knacked but found out my girlfriend (who's never played Singstar) can kick major butt and owned everyone that night icon_lol.gif

Metroid Fusion for Gameboy Advance - $20
Shantae for Gameboy Color - $100

The Shantae game is a rare Gameboy game and I only found it for sale as I was looking for Skylander figures lol...a good find as I've seen this game go for double the price I paid.

Sonic Generations Collector Edition for Xbox 360 - $300
Haruhi Limited Edition for Wii - $100

I AM so happy with obtaining the Sonic Generations Collector Edition. I forgot to pre-order it and afterwards spent a long long time looking for an Xbox 360 verison for sale. I could have purchased one of those UK versions but I refused to own one with the UK rating and waited until I found someone living in New Zealand who had one for sale.

I haven't been dedicating myself to collecting figures properly and only just started looking more now as I have been home taking care of my mum. These are my purchases so far...more to come...

The only way to avoid it resetting is to take out my SD card...way to go HTC...keep up the good work "bravo"...

sarcastic laughter icon_biggrin.gif ...oh darn I can't insert the sarcastic laughter option icon_lol.gif
Not a purchase, but my latest acquisition...i.e. my Christmas present from my girlfriend.

Asus Lamborghini VX7....I think I just heard admeister's head explode icon_lol.gif

...mind you it was unexpected so my head exploded too...just a little when I saw it icon_biggrin.gif

Here's a video advertisement of the laptop in question:

I kinda set myself up Ad...I purchased her a Louis Vuitton handbag for about $1200 for her birthday this year so that set the tone for Christmas...

Just got back from the same dvd shop that emwearz & theory visited. There was some good stuff which I picked up below. All up the total it cost me was a lil over $500.

The funny thing was the store attendant asked me if I owned a dvd shop as I was buying soo many dvds, and I gave him a weird look and answered no (weird look because I wasn't buying doubles of anything icon_lol.gif)

...sorry for the blurry pics...my hand was shaking...

Oh for any one living interstate that's interested in the dvd sale, the store attendant told me that he's willing to ship out dvds to people interstate for a fee of $7 for a handful of dvds. He also mentioned to me there was a guy here the other day taking pics of the dvd stand.

Apart from the dvds, I also purchased these items:

Sakura Wars for Wii with bonus artbook - $30US
Phantom Brave for PSP - $20US
Prinny 2 for PSP - $20US
Disgaea for DS with bonus stylus - $20US
Disgaea 4 Premium Edition for PS3 with guide book, 9 figure set, soundtrack and art print - $100US

All of those items were from the NIS America shop during their sale...I now have purchased 3 of those Disgaea Premium Edition from NIS...

Mario Kart 7 bonus hat - Free
Super Mario 3D Land bonus hat - Free
Tales of the Abyss for 3DS - $70
Skylanders 3 character packs 2nd wave x 2 - $30 each

I didn't know the 2nd wave of Skylanders was out but a stop over at JB to pick up the Tales of the Abyss game caught my attention. Now I am after the 3 silver Skylanders figures icon_biggrin.gif

On top of those items, I also picked up a Sony pink laptop, Microsoft Office and laptop bag for $1180 for my girlfriend as a Christmas present...it's been an expensive week (and I wasn't even planning on spending much this week...)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Edit:

I forgot to add one more photo of my latest purchases...it slipped my mind:

3DS Zelda Edition - $250
Uncharted 3 Explorer Edition - $209

Not too many things this week...I'm actually waiting for something really large but I think that will end up as a paypal dispute...icon_sad.gif

Sega Saturn lot - $100

For $100, the Saturn lot was quite cheap especially when I was only interested in 4 of the games icon_biggrin.gif

Battle Arena Toshinden for Gameboy - $48
Samurai Shodown for Gameboy - $25
Final Fantasy Adventures Mystic Quest for Gameboy - $50
Final Fantasy Legends III for Gameboy - $45
Mystical Ninja for Gameboy - $25
Wario Land II for Gameboy - $20
Blender Bros for Gameboy Advance - $14
Krazy Racers for Gameboy Advance - $15.50
Silent Scope for Gameboy Advance - $10.50
Britney Spears Dance Beat for Gameboy Advance - $7.50
Spider-Man for Gameboy Advance - $7.50

The most noteable purchase for me would be the Toshinden game. Being a huge KOF fan, I'm still looking for the KOF Gameboy game...

Eyepet Motion Edition for PS3 - $15
Playstation Move Heroes for PS3 - $15
God of War Collection for PS3 - $20
No More Heroes for PS3 - $47
Ninty Nine Nights II for Xbox 360 - $38
Dynasty Warriors 7 for Xbox 360 - $38
Resident Evil 4 Limited Edition case version for Gamecube - $35
Naruto Kizuna Drive for PSP - $10

Picked up the above games from Myer and GAME. Since receiving Dynasty Warriors 7, I've been playing that game non-stop. That Conquest Mode is soo damn addictive, I've neglected to sleep early (even though I'm not feeling too well) just to unlock all the available characters.

Mario Kart 7 for 3DS - $70
Final Fantasy XIV Collectors Edition for PC - $15
Mario Flying Racoon plush - $20

I still haven't received either of my pre-order bonus hats from EB and are hoping they will get it soon...getting a bit frustrated with the wait.
The Mario flying racoon was going to be a gift for my girlfriend, but since I purchased her a Mario bee suit from Galaxy 2, I decided to keep this one for myself icon_biggrin.gif

Elder Scolls V Skyrim Collectors Edition for Xbox 360 - $199

While I was in Sydney for a holiday, I walked into JB and saw a Xbox 360 version of the collector's edition of Skyrim...unfortunately, I wasn't able to buy it because I was (a) with my girlfriend and (b) I wouldn't be able to get it back to Melbourne in one piece.
Since then, I've been looking on ebay for an Aussie version and was about to buy one when I read on a different forum that JB had them for sale in limited quantities. I didn't have to think twice and picked one up for myself.

Dragon Ball GT Season 1 - $40ish
Dragon Ball GT Season 2 - $40ish
Air Collection - $30ish
Comics without borders - $18ish
Russell Peters The Greencard Tour - $25ish

Picked up those DVDs from JB during their 20% off dvd sale. Oddly enough, I was watching extracts of the Greencard Tour with my girlfriend on youtube the night before. I'm upset that I missed out seeing Russell Peters in person so his dvds are the next best thing...he's the best icon_lol.gif

Just something that came in the mail today...weighs a fair bit...

Um, shouldn't you keep it as evidence of the fraud?
what dimefan90 said. I was surprised when paypal made the request because I was more than happy to return the game for the refund but they state that it could be illegal to return a fake item so I had to destroy the game.
I guess I'm the odd one out...

...as much as I have purchased soo many games this year, the best game in my opinion was Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3.

Boy that game sucked soo much time out of my life and I'm still nowhere near completing all the achievement yet. I'm quietly waiting for the One Piece version and am keeping my fingers cross that DWG4 is on the cards and will come out in the following year...I need my fix bad...
I've been in the middle of a paypal dispute with a seller for selling me a fake copy of Castlevania Vampire's Kiss on the SNES.

Having had GameTrader verify that the game was a fake, paypal have now asked me to destroy and dispose of the item in question and then sign a document saying that I've done so...

...so with the frustrations of work and also this paypal dispute...I was given the green light to wail on the game by none-other than paypal themselves.

Great fun and I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone having a bad day icon_biggrin.gif
Another week, another haul...

Final Fantasy soundtracks:
Final Fantasy III - $10
Final Fantasy V - $10
Final Fantasy VI - $10
Final Fantasy VII - $20.50
Final Fantasy VIII - $10.50
Final Fantasy IX - $11.50
Final Fantasy X - $10.50
Final Fantasy X-2 - $10
Final Fantasy XII - $13.50

Was browsing ebay for games (as usual) and I found the above FF soundtracks for sale. I won most of them for their starting bid amount of $10 which is really good. I personally was only really interested in the FFVI soundtrack...the rest was more so for completeness and...well how could I say no to $10 for FF soundtracks icon_biggrin.gif

Phoenix Wright - Art of Gyakutensaiban - Artbook Collection - $26
Yo$hitaka Amano - Final Fantasy Artbook - $20.50
Final Fantasy X-2 - Sphere with Materials - Guide and Artbook - $10
Final Fantasy X, X-2 - Complete Guide and Artbook inc Soundtrack - $10

The above artboks came from the same ebay seller who I won the FF soundtracks from. I figured since I was already bidding his soundtracks and I was going to pay some money for postage, I might as well grab the artbooks as well. The Phoenix Wright book was more for my interest in the artwork (I've never played the game, but it looks nice).

EBGame Preorder and Promo items - $140

Just a large number of preorder and promo items I picked up from a seller who I purchase several things off. You could say she's my "dealer" icon_lol.gif

The Gunstringer for Xbox 360 - $28.84
Just Dance 3 for Xbox 360 - $34.84
Kinect Sports Season Two for Xbox 360 - $34.84
Zelda Skyward Sword for Wii - $120
Super Mario 3D Land for 3DS - $69
Ridge Racer 3D for 3DS - $18
Pilotwings Resort on 3DS - $28
Ghost Recon for 3DS - $18
Slyvester USB stick - $15
NFS The Run Chamois - Free

I picked up those items from Big W and GAME...I became aware of those games at those low prices from Ozbargain and because of the "out of stock" for several games on GAME's website, I decided to head on down in person to see if I could pick up any cheap games. There's a few things that I am expecting in the mail from GAME as well icon_biggrin.gif

Transformers Stamp Set - $20
Chocobo Racing for PS1 - $30
Saga Frontier 2 for PS1 - $22.50
Signed anime items - $40

Skylanders for Xbox 360 - $85
Resistance 3 Survivor Edition for PS3 - $59
Driver San Francisco Collector Pack for Xbox 360 - $65
Lord of the Rings War in the North Collector Edition for Xbox 360 - $69

Just a few more items I picked up from GAME's sale and also JBHifi. I was actually taking my girlfriend to the shops so she could buy her a Christmas present and instead I ended up buying the Resistance and Lord of the Rings game icon_biggrin.gif

Boxed Indigo Gamecube and 251 block memory card - $20

I wish for more games in the Crusader: No Remorse and Crusader: No Regret series. Nothing more cooler than a bunch of over the top weapons and cheesey FMV acting! Couldn't we do a third person game in this universe? Total environmental destruction and all that jazz?
Oh my gosh, you have my signature if you ever start a petition to get that game series back....loved the destruction and the music kicked just as much a$$

For me the biggest disappointment for me has and will always be the lack of Australian released RPGs...it seems unless I am a FPS fan (causes dizzy-spells for me), I have to import most of those games.

I'd say the biggest disappointment for me this year though would be Mortal Kombat getting banned for sale here in Australia...sooo lame... icon_cry.gif

My wishes would be for another Capcom Vs SNK game. I really enjoyed the previous games and would love to see another one that pits the likes of Kyo and Iori against Ryu and Ken...I'll be in the SNK corner of course icon_biggrin.gif
The people working at my local EB are really cool, they're a great bunch to talk to and easily price match games for me. The store manager was really awesome but he's been transferred to another store now so that's a bummer.

I also go to another EB near my work and there's this cute girl working there...so it's quite a pleasure going there icon_biggrin.gif

As for GAME, ever since they stuffed up my pre-order for the Halo Reach Xbox 360 console, I've not visited them as often as I used to (about 10 times this year)...the only GAME that I do go to is the one at Knox because of the sales guys is pretty cool and takes his time to talk with me...even when I don't want to talk hehehe icon_biggrin.gif
My haul for this week. The majority of the items were picked up today...although I did have second thoughts about going out to pick up the games as it was raining cats and dogs.

Virtual Boy System with 12 games, power adapter and Flashboy Plus - $1000

I already have myself a complete Virtual Boy system, however my one is the Blockbuster case version and as such I've always wanted to get myself a complete Virtual Boy to add to the Blockbuster case version. Additionally the majority of my Virtual Boy games are cart and manuals only so this lot has now assisted me in completing my collection (well I am missing Jack Bros, which will be acquired in the future). In all honesty I wasn't planning on buying this lot but because I was picking up some GC and GB games, I figured I'd check out the condition of the Virtual Boy...and one look and I was sold icon_biggrin.gif

Metroid Prime for GC and guide book (see next pic) - $7.75
Metroid Prime 2 for GC - $16
Dragon Ball Z Budokai for GC - $9.75
Dragon Ball Z Budokai 2 for GC - $36.05
Dragon Ball Z Advanced Adventure for GBA - $3.24
Dragon Ball Z Legacy of Goku for GBA - $8.50
Dragon Ball Z Legacy of Goku 2 for GBA - $8.50
Dragon Ball GT Transformation for GBA - $8.50
Legend of Zelda for GBA and guide book (see next pic) - $35
Super Mario World for GBA - $32.55
Legend of Zelda Oracle of Ages/Season guide book - $29.86
2 x GBA cart holders - $5

As mentioned above, I was picking the above items up which lead me to buying the Virtual Boy lot. While I was there, I expressed an interest in the GBA cart holders and the seller said I could have both for $5...which was good because I didn't have any change and that extra $5 made it a whole $200.

Mario Quiz Cards game - $2.25

I wasn't really going to buy the quiz cards but near the end of the auction, the item didn't increase in price so I thought I'd take a cheap stab at it and was surprised to pick it up for a meager $2.25...the postage cost of the item was about 5 times more expensive icon_lol.gif

Playstation console with additional controller - $80

The item is brand spanking new with the sticky tape over the cd cover still on. As there were soo many PS consoles purchased in the past, it's been quite trying for me to obtain one in a condition I'd deem worthy and so I was happy to get this one.

One Piece Chopper set - $19

This was just something I purchased while browsing ebay one night...I've gotta stop browsing late at night...I find too many things I want...

The Need For Speed The Run Limited Edition plus Skyline Megablocks car - $88
Snakes Revenge - $45

I didn't really consider pre-ordering NFS The Run until I saw that GAME were offering a pre-order bonus of the Megablocks car..and yuppers I wanted the Skyline so I immediately placed an order on this when I picked up my Saints Row The Third game icon_biggrin.gif

On a side note, I am quite pissed with a seller on ebay for not specifying that his Castlevania Vampire's Kiss for the SNES was a reproduction. The seller refused my request for a refund and stated that I should've checked the photo, to which I argued that he should have taken more individual photos along with a description that it was a reproduction...else it would have appeared here in my latest purchase...

Stuff I picked up over the week and while I was in Sydney on the weekend:

Xbox 360 Messenger Kit - $30
Goldeneye 007 with Gold Controller for Wii - $50
Monster Hunter 3 with Black Controller for Wii - $50

Persona 2: Innocent Sin & Trails in the Sky - CE Double Pack with T-shirt - £ 69.98

I forgot all about these two games until near the end of the pre-order period. It was only by sheer luck that I bumped into the Persona 2 game via ebay and remembered that ghostlight had it available for pre-order. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that I could order the Persona 2 / Trails in the Sky double pack and still get the bonus T-shirt icon_biggrin.gif

I've purchased all the CE PS3 and PSP games from Ghostlight so far...I wonder what they'll release next?

My recent purchases for this week:

Skylanders for 3DS - $76
Skylanders 3 figure packs - 5 x $30
Skylanders single figure packs - 3 x $15

I honestly wasn't really into the whole Skylanders game until I gave it a whirl during the EBgames Expo with my brother. At that time, my brother and I were like the only 20-30 something year olds playing the game along with a bunch of 10-15 year old kids. I had a lot of fun playing the game and after a few weeks of thinking it over, I decided to go and buy all the available Skylander figures.
At the moment, I am missing Drill Sergeant (Big W exclusive) and the Darklight Crypt which included Ghost Roaster (Toys R Us exclusive). I'm also going to buy the Volcanic Vault Arena (GAME UK exclusive) and the Xbox 360 pack too.

Bring on Wave 2 icon_biggrin.gif

Parodious for SNES - $105
Dungeon Master for SNES - $62
Double Dragon V for SNES - $72
Smash Tennis for SNES - $31

Spiderman & the X-men for SNES - $66
Suikoden V for PS2 - $24
Wild Arms 4 for PS2 - $24
Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo for Sega Saturn - $30
Mega Bomberman for Megadrive - $25

For me, the notable game in the above list is the Tuff E Nuff game. I remember playing that game at the video game shop my parent's close friend owned and operated when I was about 15 years old. It was quite a fun game and now I can relive that same experience again icon_biggrin.gif

Sega Game Gear lot - $45

Zone of the Enders Revoltech Jehuty Figure - $3.50

Clamp no Kiseki Limited Edition Chess Pieces + Board - $51

For several years (3-4 years), I've always wanted the Clamp chess set and when I bumped into an ebay seller selling his artbooks and the Clamp set, I figured since I'm paying for postage, I might as well win as many as I can...in the end I won all of his books for cheap icon_biggrin.gif

Clamp no Kiseki complete collection (12 magazines + folder) - $41

Innocence by Haruhiko Mikimoto Artbook- $2.80
The Art of Sister Princess by Naoto Tenhiro Artbook - $2.80
Alice Addict by Mihara Mitsukaz Artbook - $2.80
Erementar Gerad "Red" by Mayumi Azuma Artbook - $4.80
Aquarian Age Premium Expansion Official Art Collection - $2.80

Pita-Ten artbook by Koge-Donbo Artbook - $2.80
Girl's Side by Mikiyo Tsuda - Japanese Anime/Manga Artbook - $2.80
World of Akihiro Yamada Japanese Artbook - $2.80
Love Song 2002 (Saikano) by Shin Takahashi Japanese Artbook - $5.50
Official Illustrations Collection Rahxephon Japanese Artbook - $17.35

Quickly looking through my accessible collection (many of my games are stacked up, blocking access to a few wardrobes/shelf or are in storage), and after some careful thought, a few of my obsure games are shown below:

Finder Love Limited Edition: Risa Kudo Version
Finder Love Limited Edition: Aki Hoshino Version

I'm only missing the Fumina Hara Version icon_biggrin.gif
I bumped into this game just after it was released for sale and missed out on picking up the Limited Editions (which sold out quickly in Japan) but I was fortunate to pick up the above two through ebay about a year later.

...just having a look on ebay now I see there is the Fumina Hara Limited Edition for sale...guess I'll have to pick that up now...

and something a bit more PG rated...

Final Fight 3
Mega Man 7
Mega Man X2
Mega Man X3

I would put Final Fantasy III in the list but it isn't as rare as these 4 games.

I thought I'd also include my NeoGeo Pocket games as they're quite obsure (in my opinion icon_biggrin.gif). They're all PAL format in the clamshell boxes. The game that took the longest to obtain was the King of Fighters R1.
I've actually not looked at this collection of mine in almost 4 years now (the photos were taken from back then).

NOTE: I wasn't trying to collect all the games and was only looking for the ones I wanted. The only thing that I'm missing (to make me happy) is the limited Samurai Showdown NeoGeo Pocket set. It's basically nothing more then a standard NeoGeo Pocket with a japanese Samurai Showdown game, but I thought it'd be cool to add to my collection.

If I like the game (whether it be new release or something old), then there is no real price I won't pay.

I am however more dictated by the collectability of a game and am willing to shell out more on a game if it happens to be a collector's edition or has a limited number run.

The most I've paid for a single game is $1200 and the thought has crossed my mind to offload that same price two more times, but I've had to hold back...*cough* girlfriend *cough* icon_biggrin.gif

Ya know now that I think about it, I don't really shop around. I buy all my games from the Game in capalaba because they have really **** top customer service. And yeah I guess I'm prepared to pay a little more for that.
All too true Benza, I usually place orders at my local EBgames because the staff there are really helpful and just plain helpful.
Just a few things came in the mail this week...

Robotech DVD set - $133 (19 each)

I haven't gone out to the shops on my own for a while and as such haven't had the chance to pre-order items and check out whats new for sale. Anyway while looking around at the shops, I decided to stop by Cash Converters and saw the Robotech DVD set for sale. I actually already have the set from about 5 years back but the condition of 2 of the box sets weren't up to my standard and as I couldn't remember which box sets were the bad ones, I figured I'd buy the lot and fix up my collection during my free time (if I have any lol)

Final Fantasy Unlimited DVD box set - $29
Nadesico DVD box set - $61
Gravion Zwei DVD box set - $30
Orphen DVD Collection - $16
Fruits Basket DVD Collection - $22

I kinda went on an anime shopping spree after My-Otome sparked my interest again and in all honesty, I'm spending more time watching anime then playing video games these days.

Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi Collectors Edition - $119
Resident Evil The Mercenaries - $30
Soul Calibur IV DVD Tin - $1
Tales Of Symphonia Figurine Lloyd Irving Version 2 - $10

I had my car dropped into Mitsubishi for 4 tyre replacement yesterday and when I was picked up from work at 12pm to collect my car, I decided to stop by Chadstone and check out JBHifi to see if they had the DBZ game for sale. Being a big DBZ fan, I just couldn't pass up the collectors edition. I know that JBHifi will most probably not sell out of the collector edition of this game and will likely reduce the price but I just couldn't be bothered waiting...Gohan looks great but I wish they'd do a Super Saiyan 3 Goku icon_biggrin.gif

Gamcube Lot - $160
Lot includes:
Gamecube console
Mario Golf
Tales of Symphonia
Baten Kaitos
Sonic Mega Collection
Mario Power Tennis
Super Mario Sunshine
X-Men Legends II
Prince of Persia

All of the games are in like store like condition with the Tales game having a 251 block memory card as well. I again only purchased this lot for the Super Mario Sunshine as my own copy got damaged during shipping a while ago and I've just been too lazy to buy a replacement (too many other games to buy). Also my brother's Tales and Baten games aren't in the best shape so I'll let him swap over his for these ones.

It's been a long Friday/Saturday with my flight delaying my return to Melbourne (didn't get into the house until 2:30-3am). I was however happy to see that I had some mail.

These items were accumulated during my week's absence.

Dragon Ball Z english manga set in box - $155

Before Dragon Ball Z got a western release, I was following the series via videos and the chinese manga which I purchased from my local chinese bookstore every month back in the 90s. As the mangas were a monthly release, there were times when I'd miss out buying one of the mangas which upset me and threw me off from completing the collection.

While browsing ebay, I saw the english version for sale, and even though I've read most of the manga now, I really wanted to own a complete set of Dragon Ball Z mangas. To me I grew up with Dragon Ball and so it is THE anime which I love the most icon_biggrin.gif

Super Mario All Stars 25th Anniversary Edition for Wii
Wii Super NES Classic Controller
Game & Watch Collection for DS

Above lot for $229

Mega Man 64 for N64 (sealed) - $65

I was bidding on another sellers items for his Wii Super NES classic controller (which I missed out on redeeming through the Nintendo Club) and after losing it, I what most ebay buyers do...I went looking for an alternative. I found the above 3 items for sale for $229 but it ended without a bid and so I made a query to the seller if he still had it for sale. I was actually buyer No. 2 to ask about it but the 1st buyer never responded and I was willing to pay it then and there.

Valkyrie Profile 2 Silmeria Artifact Box
FIGMA Aigis figure
FIGMA Black Rock Shooter figure

The above set me back $30. The 2 figures are fakes but I didn't really care as it's a pretty cheap price for all 3 items. Funnily the seller lives near my girlfriend's house so it felt a bit weird driving pass her house in the morning and not dropping by to say "hi" icon_biggrin.gif

Might & Magic Heroes VI - ??

I don't really know how much this cost me as my brother picked up 2 copies while I was away in Brisbane. The funny thing about it all was that when I went to EBgames to pick up my pre-order copy they had no record of my pre-order. After going through my receipts, the store manager inadvertly placed my pre-order under my brother's name and hence why he had 2 on pre-order lol.

Atelier Totori: The Adventure of Arland Premium Edition with poster for PS3- ??
Man Vs Food Series 1, 2 and 3 - $45

Again I can't remember how much I paid for the Atelier game as it's been awhile and I don't really follow prices after I've paid for something. Im not really a huge Atelier fan, but mainly purchased it because it was (a) a NIS game and (b) it was a Premium Edition game icon_biggrin.gif

The Man Vs Food series is a great show which I first encountered during my interstate trips on the hotel's Foxtel channels. I then started watching it late night on 7mate and because I've missed several episodes, I decided I'll buy the entire series...the guy is a legend.

Batman Arkham City Collector's Edition - $150
Pipboy - $150

While I was sitting in the Qantas Club waiting for my flight, my bro called me and informed me that there was an Xbox 360 version of the Batman Arkham City Collector's Edition available if I wanted it as someone cancelled their order. As the Ebgames guys know us, they were happy to put it aside for me and my gosh it looks awesome. After playing the demo of the game during the EBgames Expo, I am definitely hooked on this game.

Two Worlds 2 Royal Edition - $40

Regarding the lending of games; I never lend anything for the reasons detailed in this thread.
+1 for that Cyph. I never lend anything (games, dvds, comics, etc) as none of my friends have ever returned anything back to me in the same condition. I mean honestly, how does someone manage to get scratches on a game disc when all they should be doing is moving it from the game case to the actual console???...I often wonder if my friends are attempting to juggle my discs because they are all circus clowns during the night icon_biggrin.gif

These damn Commonwealth Bank adverts that keep popping up on the bottom of my browsers, playing some annoying video, at random intervals while I browse PALGN.
I didn't know what you were talking about Cyph...until just a few mins ago...I encountered it twice icon_lol.gif
Sitting in the Qantas Club in Brisbane because my 6:50pm flight back to Melbourne got delayed to 7:50pm, then 8:35pm and now it's 9:15pm...any longer and I might just have to consider getting a hotel...

...well at least I am in the Qantas Club with something to eat and do...though some guy's glass of tomato juice broke and it splattered on the back of my work pants...
Great giveaway Jahanzeb. Good luck to all.

I already have that game but thought I'd just write my favourite fighting game (similar to Benza).

For me it's definitely hard to pick just one fighter as THE best as each game has their own Pros and Cons but I would definitely say that I KOF is at the very top somewhere.

My first encounter into the KOF series was through reading video game magazines (Tips and Tricks) during my highschool years and seeing the available cast of characters to choose from. At that time, there was no arcades near me which had KOF so all I could do was imagine what the gameplay was like.

This however all changed during my first year at university when I encountered KOF '98 and damn I have to say I was immediately hooked. As I was still learning the game I was continually challenged and beaten so I went to a nearby Time Zone at the time to learn on their machine (which was KOF '97 and which also lead me to another arcade love of mine...Virtual On). Throughout that entire year of university, I learnt to play all the characters and began holding my own against other competitors.

My personality is that of someone who had to be different and so that was partly why I chose to play KOF as all my uni friends were SF addicts...I remember one of my friends trying to get me to fight him on SF and I jokingly said to him "tell you what, if there is ever a game where KOF and SF fighter characters sqaure off, then I'll fight him" lol...three years later...my friend got his wish lol

The gameplay and styling of the KOF series was different from SF and they were a huge wow factor for me. I really couldn't get over Kyo and Iori's moves (especially their Final Showdown and Maiden Masher respectively), but I started slowly moving towards playing King as my number 1 character...there's something pleasing about beating follow players with female characters (that and I prefer speed over power)...

These days, I am not as religiously into KOF as I feel the franchise has lost some of it's lusture (I did pay full price for the KOF collector editions for both PS3 and Xbox) but if I ever get some free time, I'll pick up KOF '97 to KOF 2000 to give a whirl...which reminds me, I need to complete my NeoGeo collection of KOF games icon_biggrin.gif
Just got back from EBgames Expo...

...how do I put it...the expo wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best either...hopefully they'll improve on it for 2012.

Anyway, here are the items I picked up from the expo. All the items except for the Dead Island game ($110) was free.

The EB store at the expo had a fair few Crysis 2 Nano Editions (missing game) for Xbox 360 and PS3 going for $49 and at the end of today, they were offloading everything at reduced prices (Duke Nuken Balls of Steel Edition with the bust going for $30 and Resistance 3 Collectors Edition for $49 just to name a few), however I was unable to buy anything else as I was running low on luggage space...next year I'll be driving up to Sydney icon_biggrin.gif

All of the items pictured in the first 3 pics all came in the VIP bags (I attended all 3 sessions) along with the Call of Duty USB stick (4 gig) and the pens as well.

Each VIP bag had about 3 magazines which I promptly threw out (only keeping one of each issue) to lighten my load...to my surprise the Transformer GameInforme edition had a limited run of the cover and I binned them lol...

EB were also missing some items in each VIP bag as my bro missed out on some items while I missed out on others. Namely the most important item in the bag (the VIP card), to which the EB attendants told me to walk out of the exit area, walk all the way back to the entrance and then explain my situation in order to get a new card (oh did I mention that EB attendant and I were actually standing about 3 steps from the VIP entry...but he flat out refused to let me takes those few steps...that's VIP treatment for ya)...

Those folders above contain custom photo pictures which each VIP member were entitled to (normal price was $20 a photo, but they reduced it to $10 today). My brother and I went to the photo booth soo many times that the guys there all knew us...they even used one of my photos as an example photo icon_biggrin.gif

The above pic is my favourite pic as I picked up most of those items from the various booths. The red "Just Dance 3" visor was actually my 2nd visor as I accidentally broke my 1st blue one. I was trying to grab that visor for my girlfriend and really wanted a blue for her...oh well...guess she'll have to settle for red instead.

Those Duke Nukem cardboard packs were actually packets of condoms (3 off per a cardboard pack). I found this quite amusing as the guys running that booth just left those packets in a glass bowl with a sign "Please take one" icon_lol.gif I wonder what mummy and daddy would say to their kids when they open it up to see a 3 pack of long oily ballons? lol...

Oh I actually also had one of those Bulletstorm water guns (given to me from an EB guy which umm..was fought over by myself and another guy lol)...funny enough I had a sneaky feeling that the airport security wouldn't allow me to carry it on (based on my previous experience with the Time Crisis 4 gun) but gave it a try and was unsuccessful. I still don't know what security are thinking...am I going to take over an entire airplane with a water pistol? icon_lol.gif

To my surprise, I actually saw some other people with those guns at the expo and others had the Scribblenaut headphones and some also had the Red Faction toy...I should have traded my gun with someone there...oh well icon_biggrin.gif

No Sega Saturn collection is complete without Guardian Heroes.
I already have a copy of that GREAT game icon_biggrin.gif ...though Dragon Force and Shining Force 3 are my favourites. Guardian Heroes set me back approx $80 about 4 years ago. My near complete Saturn collection (I was only buying the games I wanted) then set me back about $1500.

I have 2 copies of Dragon Force but each had some flaw so I only purchased that Saturn lot for the Dragon Force game as it has the Australian rating sticker...now its time to mix and match...

...call me crazy...
It feels like a long long time since I last stepped into palgn.

Anyway, here are my recent purchases:

Gears of War 3 Epic Edition x 2 - $200 each

The Gears of War 3 Epics were actually pre-orders that my bro put down for however with soo many games coming up he didn't have the cash to pay them off so I stepped in and returned my limited edition at the same time icon_biggrin.gif

Fate Stay Night Saber Revoltech Figure - $31
Megatron Revoltech Figure - $31
Starscream Revoltech Figure - $27

These 3 figures came from the same ebay seller who I've been buying my previous figures from. Unfortunately I missed out on the Dark version of Saber but that's fine, I'll get another one in the near future. Starscream looks really awesome.

Sonic R for Sega Saturn - $30

Makai Kingdom : Chronicles of the Sacred Tome

I've been missing Sonic Jam and Sonic R from my Sega Saturn collection (been too lazy to pick them up) and so when I saw those 2 games for sale and in the stated condition of near mint, I figured now would be a good enough time to buy those games.

Shinobi games - $59

Shinobi 3 Return of the Ninja Master

Mortal Kombat

After watching the My Otome Zwei (the anime which happened after the complete collection), I fell in love with th story and began looking all over ebay for the complete DVD collection. Upon receiving the DVDs in the mail, I set about watching as much of the series as I could...I finished the series in 2 days but didn't get to sleep until well past 3am on those nights icon_biggrin.gif

3rd Birthday Twisted Edition for PSP - $47
Pirates of the Carribean The Video Game Collector Edition for PS3 - $47
Dragon Quest Realms of Reverie for DS - $30

The Dragon Quest game was from Myer during their 50% off sale. Its ashame that Myer is no longer selling video games but it is good that they are discounting their games lol.

Coke can with "Sey" - Free
Black Rock Shooter White Premium Box - $150

I was at Southland just the past weekend and saw that Coke was running a promotion to name a Coke can so my girlfriend and I lined up 4 times and picked up 8 cans (8 cans with 8 different names for friends and co-workers). My work colleague was really happy to receive the Coke can although I would have preferred a Coke Zero for him hehehe

Ryu Street Fighter Control Pad for PS2 - $50
Guile Street Fighter Control Pad for Xbox - $25
M.Bison Street Fighter Control Pad for Xbox - $25
Ghoul Panic for PS1 - $20

Super Nintendo Power Plug for SNES - $12
Chrono Cross Clock - $43

I was so happy to pick up those 3 SF control pads. I now have an additional Guile control pad which I'll probably try to trade off for something else icon_biggrin.gif
Another item of special note is Grandia II. I played a copied version way back when I was at university but never got around to finishing it and ever since then I've been trying to get a copy of the game in a condition worthy of being added to my collection...now I just need to grab my Dreamcast out to finish the game icon_biggrin.gif

On top of this I also paid for a hotel room for my bro and I for the EBgames Expo this weekend. The room set me back $300 but it was worth the price.

I also made payment for 2011 K-Pop Music Fest in Sydney. I wanted the VIP tickets but they were all sold out so I had to be content with the Gold tickets for $180 each for my girlfriend and myself. With those tickets purchased, I decided to make it a 4 day holiday in Sydney with my girlfriend so what seemed like a small amount quickly turned into $500 for plane tickets, $800 for hotel rooms, $160 for lunch buffet cruise and a possible trip to Mary Poppins the musical too icon_biggrin.gif

It's a little disappointing as I've been informed that I've been nominated for a special training course in Singapore next month which might coincide with my Sydney trip so I may miss a free trip icon_sad.gif
