Whats the best price on Skyrim locally? Dungeon Crawl $69 pre order (due stock next week) but thats an import. $63 from the hut/ zavvi. $88 seems the best from the main gaming outlets here. Anything better spotted?
Does anyone know the trade in value for Modern Warfare 3? Does EB have one of those set price things going for it?

Play Asia Weekly special is Crackdown 2 on xbox for about $10+ post.

Says limited lime left - sorry if this was mentioned earlier but I couldn't find it on the last couple of pages so going with it!

Another special up is Forza 3 but it is NTSC only.
Word was the RRP of games was going to drop is the dollar remained strong. We shall see.

$110 for games that are $60 in the US is a bit much I think. Game retailers should be the ones bitching about that I would have thought.

It's worth noting that Nintendo are giving away 20 virtual console games for those who have bought, and buy, the 3DS before the new price takes affect. I think its a pretty cool gesture.

I couldnt even see Tekken 6 at all in the list, along with a couple of others.

Originally I couldnt get Rockband 3 but more came in stock. Maybe keep checking back for that one (and DJ Hero did the same thing)

I was keen on Far Cry 2 collectors but didnt see it at first, then found it and it was sold out.

Bit of a mess really. Did score a few things at least, but half of it was stuff i didnt even want, just filler to make up for everything i missed out on lol

Fishpond have 12mth Live subscriptions for $53, if you aren't inclined to take up the cheaper play asia option. Free post (probably faster than PA too)

I don't suppose it could be to do with the URL you use - .com or .co.uk? I use .com normally. Or shipping is on one of zavvi and the hut but not the other?

What is this "Blind pass" thing? Because on a field, you have teammates telling you where other players are, AND being intuative, and knowing where to expect your teammates to be - so I'd like to know exactly what this change is trying to achieve. It's concerning though.

Unfortunately I probably can't make it till Thursday night, and theres a decent chance shops aren't open late Thursday.... however.... perhaps they are open late tonight - wednesday!

Thats the GAME ive come to know, and avoid. Their preorders seem to be designed to 'lock you in' cos they know everywhere else is doing to be cheaper. They tried to tell me I couldn't even cancel a preorder once too. It's like... why would I ever pre order again if that was the case?

Anyway...

Oh man, thats why i think i heard it was sold out at knox. I would have been up for that, even tho i just bought 2k10 and im crap at bball and have little interest in it. The game still sounds awesome! haha I like the stuff with the old school players.

I did manage to pick up a preowned Dead Rising 2 for $40 odd at least, and it looks just about as new too, apart from the crappy JB stickers all over it.

Was in EB elizabeth st earlier actually, throwing left overEB gift cards onto a Black Ops preorder.

Will they price match JB if it's not open yet in the morning? EB said they are open at 8pm. I passed on the midnight launch in the city lol

You can get a DSi with Mario Kart for $200 I think at Kmart or it may have been Big W - from catalogues that start from tomorrow.
I was going to add that im sure, like ALL of GAMES "rules" that it depends on the staff member. But basically EB were going to match their deal and called them and they said they have to be worth $5 at least.

Like I said, their rules are written anywhere. So I assume they are trained to annoy customers with whatever rules they think should apply.

What really sucks when this happens is it was probably someone from this forum that cleaned them out.

Its almost worth posting "who would be interested in x game at x price" and getting the responses first then going and buying what you need, then posting it. I kinda had to do that when everyone was looking for Left 4 Dead 2 in GAMEs sale for $12 or whatever crazy price it was... I knew a place that had them but if you post it you know its going to be cleared out first thing.

But for all we know they have 6 people to buy for? Or they grabbed them to post on forums like ours and offer them for cost+post before the... bargain trolls?... could snap them up.

I think the people that go and wipe a place clean are probably members of forums like these for that sole purpose but never post, just keep tabs and sniper from a distance.
