Re: Games to Play with the wife... (1 year ago)
Castle Crashers. It's a cartoon button-masher type game with very basic level-up elements. My mum (yes, my mum) has played this with me on many occasions and she likes it. She also enjoyed Lara Croft: The Guardian of Light (I think that's what it's called), it has puzzles in it as well as fighting, so it might be worth looking at. They both have a demo on the PS store, so you could test them out and see if she likes them before buying.
There's also Rayman Origins (which also has a demo, I believe). It's not only a very beautiful game, but very fun too.

Wow.. That was quick, the goal has been met.

^ He'd like all your $poons. I'm pretty sure they're rusty and useless enough for him to get plenty of enjoyment out of them now.
(If only I had the skills to change the S into an $.. Ah well..) XD

Re: Nintendo 3DS General Discussion (1 year ago)
No, no, no!! Where's that amazing purple they had when they were showing off all the fancy colours before release? :/
Re: So, Trophies (1 year ago)
Lego Harry Potter isn't hard at all. I've got the platinum for it and it was just time consuming collecting everything.
Re: Funny Links (1 year ago)
Care to elaborate?
Re: Funny Links (1 year ago)
I love cats, but.. Watching that entire thing was kinda painful. I had to see it to the end though, just to see how silly the '100 ways' got. XD
Re: One Sitting (1 year ago)
I think I would've crashed by now.. I fell asleep just watching.
Too bad I'll miss the rest, since I have to go to work.

Re: Pokemon B&W (1 year ago)
@Cro - What's wrong with Tepig? I played White with Tepig and Black with Oshawott. Emboar was far more interesting and useful than Samurott. But then my dislike of Samurott could also be because I really love Jellicent, so he was the only water type I wanted.
Anyway.. After transferring all my pokemon over from Platinum, I'm pretty close to finishing the Pokedex. A few more evolutions and event pokemon and I'll be done. Too bad I'm so lazy and can't be bothered.
As for you folk who are stuck on the Elite 4, get yourself a Hydreigon. XD

Really? What stopped you?
Re: Infamous 2. WTF they do to cole... :'(( (1 year ago)
I'm pretty sure it saves after every mission complete/death/pickup, doesn't it?
Re: Infamous 2. WTF they do to cole... :'(( (1 year ago)
Well, I just got my platinum. I actually really enjoyed the game, although as others have said, the story wasn't as good.
Trying to get the trophies for the UGC missions was a pain. Some of them didn't exactly explain where you were going. I had to abandon a lot of them because I just couldn't work them out. In the end I tried playing the ones that said 'easy exp' because I knew it would be killing something easy and the mission would be over. I did find one or two that were actually good though.
I uploaded my own mission for the fun of it too, although you can't really call it a mission. The total time is about 15 seconds, 'cause nothing much happens. XD I'll definitely be giving it a proper go later on.

Re: E3 2011: Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time gameplay (1 year ago)
I'm actually really looking forward to this. I only recently completed the trilogy for the first time and I loved the art style. I'm glad that it's still looking pretty much the same.
Re: Sixaxis controller can't run some games!?! (1 year ago)
I'm exactly the same. I have two perfectly good controllers and I don't want to pay another $70+ so that another one can sit there gathering dust (my second controller rarely gets used as it is). However, I'm lucky enough that my parents have a PS3 slim, so they have a dualshock. I'd just be able to take theirs if I ever came across this kind of problem, but until that time, I'm happy with my regular sixaxis.
I don't understand how the sixaxis wouldn't work though. Do they have different signals or something? Completely different mechanics? I thought they worked the same, apart from the dualshock having the vibration?

Re: Saving For My PS3 Soon: I've Got A Few Questions (1 year ago)
I haven't played a lot of the games on your list (they're either sitting in my backlog or I haven't bought them yet), but.. I can definitely recommend Heavy Rain, inFamous and the Sly Trilogy.
Re: Pokemon B&W (2 years ago)
Bambi was a male. A male Sawsbuck makes far more sense than a female.
Re: So, PALGN, what is your 3x3? (2 years ago)
There's so many more that I wanted to add..
Jill of the Jungle
Running Wild
Soul Reaver
Golden Axe Warrior
Assassin's Creed
Fable
Broken Sword (George = Hilarious)
Driver
Etc.. etc.. (I could go on for awhile XD )
..Cutting most of them out was tough.
Re: So, Trophies (2 years ago)
Got my platinum for Dante's Inferno last night.
I don't even know what game to play next..

Re: So, Trophies (2 years ago)
Just got my platinum for Sly Raccoon 3. I completed the trilogy in order, one after the other.
I really loved the first game, but then the second felt like a real chore to complete. The third reignited the fun of it, which was good. If I had hated it, I don't think I could have tolerated the challenges.
There were a few frustrating moments, especially when some of the controls wouldn't register, but overall it was great fun. I can definitely see myself playing them again.

Re: Driver: San Francisco 'Comeback' trailer (2 years ago)
After losing interest in the Driver series after 2, I'm really looking forward to this.
Re: Pokemon B&W (2 years ago)
Finally got around to playing the 'Befriend a Pokemon' game. I managed to get myself a Vaporeon (got Umbreon first, but cancelled it). Luckily I'm a fan of those 'Breakout' kind of games, so it wasn't so bad. I died a lot trying to avoid orbs though. That last level was a pain in the rear trying to avoid all the millions of leafeon and glaceon orbs.

Re: Pokemon B&W (2 years ago)
Well, I've just finished the Unova Pokedex (1 of each in numerical order). My Hydreigon was the level-up partner for all the training, so he's now at level 92. Now it's time to work on the National 'dex..

Re: Pokemon B&W (2 years ago)
Transferring all of my Pokemon from Platinum is going to be a very long process. I'm really starting to hate this slingshot mini game.. -_-
I'm half wishing I didn't start doing it, but now that I have I'll want to finish.
Why did I decide to have one of each Pokemon and place them in numerical order? Why couldn't I just be happy with having their final evolutions in the boxes? Why? WHY?!

Re: Your newest purchase (2 years ago)

Re: Pokemon B&W (2 years ago)
^ Jealous much? Yep.
I haven't seen a shiny in this gen so far.. The last shiny I've ever seen was a random encounter Houndour from Platinum.. It used Roar.. ;-;
