I don't find combat stimulating at all, hell, most of it is 'press A to win' (auto attack) with the odd paradigm switch every now and then.
I'm finding this too. I feel like I'm getting near the last quarter of the game and there's still no challenge at all. If I switch to my SAB roles and fully debuff the enemies or bosses, they die in about 10 seconds. I'm feeling like there's little point in customizing or powering up my party or paradigms at the moment. I suppose I just have to bear it until the extra bosses start becoming available.

1) Gigantic bosses with big glowing orbs that scream "Shoot me to end the boss battle!" Sure it might be a bit of challenge staying out of range and avoiding attacks but shooting at glowing orbs over and over isn't my idea of fun..
Definitely this. I also dislike repetitive actions to access a "weak spot" for massive damage. This usually results in a sort of trial and error until you know how to take the boss down properly.

I think JRPGs have the most memorable and enjoyable boss battles.
lol **** that, 3 hour long boss fights with 7 forms and literally billions of health points are not what I call fun. (I'm looking at you FF8)
I love boss battles like that. They require precise party preparation and strategy and it's an awesome feeling when everything works and you've taken them down. Penance and the Dark Aeons from FFX, Freya from SO3 and Lucifer from SMT: Nocturne are my most memorable boss fights. I think it's what makes a JRPG so much fun to play.
That's around the same play time as me but I'm naturally bad at fighting games icon_razz.gif.

This weekend we could get a group going in SCV if you'd like. I'm pretty sure OropherX would be keen on that.
I think JRPGs have the most memorable and enjoyable boss battles. Other than that, Painkiller comes to mind. Those bosses were huge and really wowed me at the time.
Ah right, I gotcha now. We should have a few games sometime. I won't put up much of a challenge but it would still be fun icon_smile.gif.

I went with ATB > accessories > unlock classes and then the class bonuses.
^ You mean ranked battles? I played 11 ranked battles today and got 4W and 7L. Not bad I guess as the other players were way better than me. I literally saw only one person with similar play time and rank. This game is so much more enjoyable with equal skilled opponents *looks in OropherX's direction* icon_razz.gif.

Also, I'm a little disturbed by some player's CaS fighters. Let's just say they have a fascination with putting phallus like objects on female characters icon_rolleyes.gif.
Re: FFXIII-2 (1 year ago)
I wouldn't worry if you've already distributed your CP randomly. The game is ridiculously easy and I don't believe you can ever screw yourself out of beating all the optional bosses.
Ranking battles really should reflect other game time. I'm getting my ass handed to me at the moment by E5 ranked players so I took a look at their licenses and they have 50+ hours of gameplay experience. It's gonna take 100 losses to get a win in icon_confused.gif.
Re: Guild Wars 2 (1 year ago)
It looks great but I hope the optimization is good. So many MMOs I've played lately have run absolutely rubbish on my computer.

Is there any information available on the next beta? Will we be able to play? I keep hearing around April?
It's not high on my list either. There's just too many games coming out in late Feb and March. I'll put it in the backlog for later icon_razz.gif.

Pagan and I seem to get d/c every 2nd battle in online play. Hell the last fight it d/c on his victory screen.
We seem to get disconnected and kicked back to the lobby every 2 matches or so. We've managed to play for hours upon hours in other online games with no issues so I'm not sure what the problem could be. Perhaps it's the game?
Re: FFXIII-2 (1 year ago)
That was the least enjoyable part of the game for me so far. The place looks stunning and yet they bog it down with that crap. I couldn't explore at all as I was getting attacked every 5 steps and they gave zero CP or Gil. On top of that it took roughly 1 hour to get through. I have to agree; what were the developers thinking?

That's episode 3 part 2.
Re: FFXIII-2 (1 year ago)
I can see and purchase DLC in game on my UK copy of 13-2. That's on an Australian PSN account. So I'm guessing it's not region locked?

In terms of graphics I don't think there has been alot of change in the 360 versions of the game, the PS3 version on the other hand has been downgraded quite considerably.
But it also it a much less linear game so that might have contributed to the visuals as well
Yeah, that may be the case. The first game was developed with the PS3 hardware and then they decided to also release it on the 360 which as far as I know resulted in a slight downgrade in graphics for the 360 version. I believe it had lower resolution textures.

13-2 was developed with both consoles in mind so as a result the PS3 version was more in line with the 360 hardware limitations. I played 13 on the 360 so that's probably why I can't see any difference.
With these PS2 games on the PSN, are they upscaled to 1080p? Or are they still displayed natively in 480i or 576i?
Re: So, Trophies (1 year ago)
I'm still gobsmacked by the trophy count.

This is $38 or so shiped from zavi/hut now.
Time to jump on the bandwagon now? You know you want to icon_razz.gif.
Re: FFXIII-2 (1 year ago)
Are there any particular parts that look downgraded or is just in general? It has been 2 years since I played 13 and it was on the 360 so yeah... maybe I've forgotten. Archylte Steppe in 13-2 looks jaw dropping through with all the swaying grass and the bloom from the stormy sky. It feels like they've really pushed the PS3 to its limits in that section.
Nah, ads likes the best JRPGs icon_y1.gif.
Re: FFXIII-2 (1 year ago)
I must be going blind because I don't see a difference between 13 and 13-2 graphics wise.
Phones and public speaking. I also have a fear of roaches and spiders but I think it's pretty mild.
Everyone should get God Hand.
Dayum, Hitomi is looking fine in those screens!! I can't wait for this game.
I must admit, Ellen Page is nice in that outfit.

Animal Crossing I finally found my AC memory card and decided to check my town out for the first time in apparently...84 months. Time sure flies. Basically looking back I was a massive horder who's entire house was infested with **** and annoying gollywogs that would make freaky girations. I cleared it all out and now I've turned my character into a fitness freak...with a mother f**king master sword & Donkey Kong Jr. Maths.
I logged back into my town about two years ago after being absent for around 7 years. The town was full of weeds and my house had roaches. Surprisingly no one had moved out.
