Re: Play-Asia Coupons (2 years ago)
Hey all, does anyone have a $8 or $12 off 100 coupon? Please pm me the code if possible.
Re: Play-Asia Coupons (2 years ago)
Hey Guys, Can anyone spare a coupon code? I'm spending over 50$.
Re: The DSi XL (3 years ago)
For All interested in getting a DSI XL. I think I worked out the cheapest way to get it. I ordered mine from www.mymemory.com its 165 pounds there but at the checkout use the coupon BACKFORGOOD to get 5% off including free shipping. It comes to about $260 AUD. Its a pretty sweet deal and they are reliable.
Re: The DSi XL (3 years ago)
I am sold on it. I did not get a DSI and have been going hard with my DSlite this far and im not too keen on a device being able to fit in my pocket.. plus the big screens are a plus for me.

Just had a look and I'm so ordering that online. Anyone know how long they take pre orders from? and do you have to pay in full?
Hey Andy. They don't charge you the full amount. They charge $20 for the pre-order and then when they ship it they charge the rest to your card.
ahh cools i'll follow up there. thanks for the Heads up man icon_biggrin.gif

can any1 recommend some gd uk stores?
Try the following Stores mate.

www.zavvi.co.uk (have good sales on monday)
www.mymemory.co.uk (have good prices and free delivery worldwide)
I reckon Braid is a once off type of game.. you wont be going back in to play again. I would recommend Shadow complex if you want a deep experience. But I would have to say go for something like Trials HD which is not only addictive as all hell but you will keep coming back to it.

Also, its a pick up and play game so you can be satisfied with 2-3 mins of play if you just want to get in a quick game.
Hey Guys, I played about 2-3 hours of borderlands and found that the experience would be way better in a group. So, I am looking for 2-3 people on Xbox Live who'd like to go through the game. Preferably below level 10. I work full time and so will only have time on certain nights so looking for someone with a similar schedule.

Cheers,

Oz Seasons 1 to 6 for $20 each at Sanity. icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif
Re: Klonoa is OUT NOW (3 years ago)
How much is it at JB?
I just finished Ninjatown on DS. Excellent tower defence game with a lot of good humor. I was adamant about getting A's on every map so now I have officially finished it icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif. The game is really cheap at most stores so if you like tower defence then definately give it a shot. On to Prototype now..

What ticks me off? How can there be an Ice Age movie about the dawn of the dinosaurs, that makes no ******* sense whatsoever. It boggles my mind as to their stupidity.
Its funny how we whinge about factual accuracy considering that the animals all talk in an American accent. But I agree with you.

im +1 repping

That made me smile and also I had a huge grin on my face playing prototype last night when i jumped off a roof locked onto a helicopter and then blowing it up with my whiplash ability.. That was just badass!!
Its good to see Bethesda exercising their ability as a publisher. God knows we could use a few new third-parties now.
agree.. it would give retro gamers a place they can discuss stuff..
Re: Crackdown 2 (4 years ago)
I am totally stoked for this game.. The first one had such a great sense of vertigo. If you guys like Crackdown I would recommend Prototype, Though not as good looking it maintains the depth of gameplay presented in crackdown while expanding on it.
I already have this on the Wii but I am totally going to drop some cash on this.. icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif I do hope they fix the damn framerate though..
Re: Graphical Dominance (4 years ago)
Uncharted 2 looks better.. but I enjoy Gears gameplay more.. Hate the damn ps3 controller.. my 2c anyways..
Season 2 is kind of a disappointment in all honesty. :S

Fine I won't quote you then, I should have said relaunch not remake. The charecter and humour are still basicly the same, it's like Batman Begins to the Burton Batman movies.

Also don't tell anyone, but I'm suposed to be working too icon_razz.gif
Lol, Touche!!

ala Pink Panther and Pink Panther 2 with Steve Martin.
Did you just say Pink Panther was a breath of fresh air? It’s a remake of a 1963 movie?
It's not a remake, The only thing thats similar is that they both deal with the theft of the pink panther diamond and that the detective's name is Clouseau. I was referring to the portrayal of Clouseau by Steve Martin and the type of humor in the film which is Monty Pythonesque and hard to come by these days.

I just felt, looking at the trailer like its going to be a mix of the styles of comedy in Shanghai Noon, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and The Brothers Grimm. On top of that the Detective genre needs some new stuff instead of stupid ass CSI and forensics. I Swear benza if you quote me again I'll have to reply again and I'm supposed to be working.. icon_razz.gif

I'd just like to point out, merely as a point of interest than any sort of connotation, that Radical has 120 people on their Prototype development team, whilst Sucker Punch only had 60 working on inFamous. So despite what you may thing of the respective titles, credit has to go where credit is due- Sucker Punch did a phenomenal job on inFamous.
Where'd you hear that? They are a Sony first party studio though. I don't know how those types of relationships work but I'm sure that'd be working in their favour in a big way, what with funds, resources and so on.

I don't know about them doing a phenomenal job though. I'd probably think so if I'd enjoyed my time with the game but seeing as I didn't, I can't rightly say that can I icon_razz.gif
Bionic Commando Re-Armed had a proper Dev Team while Castle Crashers was made by 2 guys. Doesn't mean either game is any less noteworthy or commendable. The size of either team should not be a factor in determining how good the game is. The average consumer doesn't buy games based on how much work went into it or the story behind it. They buy games if they are good and in this case both games are excellent mid-year releases that should offer players hours and hours of entertainment value.

The good thing is that both games are doing something different with the sandbox game model. icon_biggrin.gif
Re: Thoughts on Kameo (4 years ago)
I actually found it extremely enjoyable after passing the first sequence. The game picks up from then on. But I think I liked it mainly for the nostalgia I had for platformers of the late 90s i.e. spyro, gex, crash and super mario 64.
Just Picked up Prototype. Will upload impressions tonight!!

I should have clarified. I meant he is the most talented action hero from his era circa late 70s to late 80s.
Ok I'll pay that. Though bruce willis does sneak in as an action star of the 80's with Die hard in 88 and I'd put him way above stalone.
'

Ohh I will agree with you on that.. Die Hard is by far my favorite action film of all time icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif
I cant wait for this film. I think its going to be a breath of fresh air into the detective genre.. ala Pink Panther and Pink Panther 2 with Steve Martin.
Re: Mental (4 years ago)
Watched the first episode and I think I'll stay away. It looks like its your average show with passable production values and nothing about the pilot made me want to come back to it.

Has anyone read Dexter by Design yet?

I am about 100 pages in so far and loving it, it is a real return to form after the wreck that was Dexter in the Dark.
Yep Definately a return to form.. none of that supernatural bullshizzle!!

Anyone else think season 3 was kind of a let down?
Ooooh Cant wait for this one..
