was thinking that seems very expensive for meat boy, especially if on sale. turns out it's a bundle of a whole bunch of indie games (aquaria, bit trip beat+soundtrack, bit trip runner+soundtrack, braid+soundtrack, gish, machinarium+soundtrack, meat boy+soundtrack, VVVVVV, world of goo, and for some reason half life 2), though meat boy is also 50% separately. actually everything from that pack except for half life seems to be discounted atm.

yeah can't say i'm surprised. it is blizzard after all.

on another note, they've started adding to their items list. guess these are the big sets to aim for for monk and demon hunter...wonder if i'll actually manage a full set this time around, unlike how my assassin from d2 never finished the set.
joined up and in 11th. might be the first time i've logged on to ta in a while too.

so far much like starcraft- no key. probably a good thing though, better i can't play diablo when i should be focussing on uni.

There are no points! Skills are unlocked and become available for use as you grow in level. They also grow in power with you.
i blame people not updating old info icon_razz.gif. but it's ok! will be able to check stuff out for myself since cleverbot tells me i'll be getting a beta code!

yeah afaik we can switch the runestones equipped whenever we feel like it, and there's meant to be some kind of respec option to switch the points for skills.

waiting for diablo 3? why not try diablo v?

the skill calculator is up on the battle.net site, abilities look cool. already got some ideas for monk, hunter and barbarian.

in other beta related news, apparently the installer has leaked already. blizzard really needs to hide their files better, the link people are using is straight from battle.net icon_neutral.gif

looks like the 360 controller might have a better d pad than the normal ones.

Why assume that?
cause i'm somehow in gold despite being in bronze the last time i played. the match that got me into gold wasn't even close either, i lost pretty quickly. i mean sure, i could take that as i somehow got a lot better after not playing in months but i kinda doubt it lol.

i'm gonna have to assume noone plays any more. finished placements for 1v1s and 3v3s- somehow i'm in gold for both. last time i was in gold for 1v1 was back in beta before we got shifted to the sea servers icon_neutral.gif. plus last night was the first time i've really played in over 6 months lol.
is it just me or is this displaying everything from last year?

ah blizzard, always good for april fools day jokes. two starcraft one this year, motion controlled starcraft for consoles and some patch notes.

anyone know if it has an oldschool health system instead of the cheap regenerating health mechanic? constant health (or shield) regen just makes for dodgy difficulty balancing imo.

Blizzard announced they wouldn't be releasing anything this year. No SC2. No Diablo 3. No WoW expansion. No Project Titan.
lame. there shouldn't be any reason it takes that long to make an expansion considering at least half of it is recycled from part 1.

but both of those games (at least bg2 did, admittedly i never played the first bg) had a real time option where you weren't picking things from a menu? seems like a strange point to use as a difference.
here's to hoping microsoft screws up with the preorder dlc like they did with mass effect 2, then we all grab it for free. still, after the first dragon age i think i'm gonna wait for a goty edition.

very grain of salt, but part 2 might be slated for the end of next year (along with diablo 3). that said, even assuming that's true blizzard does have a tendency to delay games.

Another point. Anyone have any experiences with a good emulater? I got a backlog of PS1 games and some SNES games, mostly RPG's I wanna play. For each platform I'm looking for a stable emulator, with a save state ability.
i've found epsxe works pretty nicely for ps1 games. also supports save states.

i just dont understand fans sometimes... they love their series so much they have to support it through thick and thin like 15 pro evos, 10 tony hawks, 10 guitar heroes... even when the whole time its the same game.... this wouldnt have happened in the NES days...
bad examples, all of those at least have some changes between games. now if you used final fantasy or sonic, that's a different story. there's a big difference between continually rereleasing games and releasing what you consider to be the same game multiple times.

ign is often unreliable with reviews. metacritic currently has about 7 for bloodstone (only got 3 reviews so far though so that'll probably change soon enough), goldeneye is on 79.
