I bought a wired X360 controller from OGS recently and it arrived in a couple of weeks.

Edit: @Thundercurls - Bruce Lee was an open-minded person, all about progression, moving with the times and opening his art to a greater audience. So I doubt he would've actually raged at my post, and I feel you should've looked harder for a more appropriate gif. icon_wink.gif

Well it's hard to run a site in which the staff don't even play video games.
You know who doesn't play videogames? The voice actor for Baird in Gears of War: Judgement. Hasn't even played a Gears of War game. His voice acting is pretty good though.

Actually, you've raised an issue there appel, that I'd like to touch on.

At PALGN, we all play games of some form or another. We are in an age now when it pays to have a well-rounded team when running a gaming website. So, as well as a couple of core gamers on the team, we also have a couple who are into the Android/handheld, casual-styled games that are hugely popular these days.

It is our opinion here at PALGN that to market ourselves as a purely hardcore community in today's gaming climate, it would limit our audience and kinda be like shooting ourselves in the foot. And our PALGN feet are still in bandages and stuff, so we don't want to do that anymore.

This is one of the areas where PALGN will be changing slightly. The idea isn't to go all soft, the site is for everyone - from the casual to the core, all gamers. It's just that there will be a new level of acceptance and tolerance that we will be encouraging with our members. This will be so that anyone can feel comfortable signing up and joining in the discussion.
Because it was being run by an extremely trustworthy and all-round top bloke.

One of the largest days of the year for gaming and not a single mention, news story or news post. It actually makes me quite sad. Even with plans for a "new" Palgn, I am surprised it has neglected E3.
Probably because it has no real staff to cover it.
Basically from what I can gather,

PALGN community and staff is betrayed,
PALGN community and staff migrates.
Rocket Chainsaw is born.
PALGN promotes random users to administrative status,
Said users suddenly care about PALGN future.
New administrators don't actually know what the hell is happening,
Ask scattered users for ideas of the new PALGN.
Talks about the future of PALGN.
There are no plans for the future of PALGN currently.

All of my what.

We will give up our entire history here for a handful of guys we don't know. Hell, I'd give my left nut for them.
Wow. You do realise that those people made PALGN what it was, right? That history was made possible by them, not Roland. Why the hell wouldn't I go with them? It's not like we don't know what happened either, the entire debacle was made pretty clear towards the end.

lol @ you guys
Oh, you mean THE ENTIRE PALGN COMMUNITY?

The only people who have stayed here are users with sticks poking its dead corpse, bots and those hoping to suckhole their way into an administrative position.
"The new PALGN will be more community focused and driven"

"What plans are there for this place"

"lol cant really say"
Is it stipulated somewhere on this forum that, when given some authority, you turn into a sort of lifeless borg?

Why didn't you guys just go on the forums a bit more? Post with us and get to know us? Also what do you mean by "resource for the community"?
Yeah sure. Please post a link to the topic and I'll jump in.

Roland: Here's some stuff
Users: logic and reason
Roland: I'm a panda lol

You can't be human, you have to be some sort of intelligent bot... YOUR COMMUNITY IS TRYING TO TALK TO YOU ASSHOLE, STOP IGNORING THEM.

Stop pretending your website is fine and that nothing has happened, it's ridiculous. Also, for a website running on a brand new shiny server that was said to be the solution to this websites terrible performance it sure is slow as ass.
It's spam, getting people to go to the 'ip details' website.
Re: Where to go now (1 year ago)
Appel is right, the reason everything happened the way it did is because the website had an irresponsible owner... and still does.
I don't mind this kind of spam, at least it's relevant.
Re: Where to go now (1 year ago)
Not everybody is the same and there are other forum communities out there other than RC and the now defunct PALGN, I would have been more shocked if the PALGN community actually made the migration in its entirety.
Re: Forza 4 (1 year ago)
It would seem I underestimated your ability to pleasure the behinds of your superiors.

I think this place will probably pick up again after a while. Just needs a bit of a facelift and a few little fixes here and there.
I wish you good luck in your bid to kiss ass and try to become a moderator.

Bots.
Is this guy serious? It's like he's actually oblivious to anything that is happening around him and the website he is apparently running.

There's not much point when you don't have a community to use it, I'm sure the spambots will appreciate it though.

The “Most Negative Feedback” Award

The naming of this award is certainly not that exciting. So the award for the most negative comments; lam-basting; unapologetic smashing, bashing, trashing or bashing; goes to well – me. I think it’s fair to say that few would have received such a grilling from the PALGN community in such a short period of time.
You're like that kid who hovers outside a group of friends and randomly joins conversations and interacts like he is a part of the circle, it's hilarious.
Re: WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH! (1 year ago)
Oh god, yes very good point. Now I feel like a moron!
Re: Funny Links (1 year ago)
I got a little more suspicious when he started posting his music uploads via his FB account.
Re: WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH! (1 year ago)
It seems kind of two-faced to ridicule FalconDude and others for posting their website link but allowing this, makes me uneasy.
Re: Funny Links (1 year ago)
I still... I just can't even.
