As much as I feel I'd like to use one of these chips to save some money and try before I buy, at some point in my use of my PS3 I agreed to the terms and conditions that prevent me doing so. It's contradictory and hypocritical of me to accept the terms as a consumer yet whinge and gripe that I should be able to use these counter measure technologies. Let's be serious, they are primarily used to run pirate software, not to make backups and develop homebrew apps. Running pirate software is great if you want to try before you buy but if that is all you do or is the majority of your gaming library well I'm not for making up the price difference because of your illegal activity.

I was ticked off when BC was dropped but still bought the 2nd wave of PS3 not long after launching. Although there are one or two PS2 games I would like to play the range and variety of PS3 games is enough to distract me. If I was asked to pay $100 for BC I would say no but I guess the question really is would BC mean more sales and at what price? Probably at the expense of existing PS2 sales so until PS2 is EOL I would think no BC on PS3.

EQ2 and LOTR are much nicer games. Why? Well no 7-11 year olds yelling abuse for starters. Plus both look a lot nicer (not like some 7-11 year olds cartoon) and has a far more depth (which 7-11 year olds hate). And yes I have played them all, and many other MMOs for sometime (although I have a job so don't really ever see much more than one character through to level caps). Subscription is fine...means you get a lot more depth, variety and longevity out of your game and therefore your investment of time and money. Some people subscribe to Foxtel or pay to watch DVDs. I choose to live in a fantasy world online...not much difference and for me...far more relaxing.

We will let games like GTA, CoD, and the like be sold and played by our kids but the moment we "might" offend someone's spiritual belief we call in all stops! This is clearly a sign Islamic terrorists are winning the mind games ... if not the PS3 console games lol. If 911 never happened you can bet this game would be on sale and no one would give a rats.
