A Nintendo 3DS console will play Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS games whilst the Nintendo DS, DS Lite, DSi and DSiXL console will only play Nintendo DS games.

The 3DS is the newest of the Nintendo handhelds and has a slider that allows you to see images in 3D, you can play any Nintendo DS/3DS branded game on this console.

The other DS models have been around a few years and are the most common. These can only play Nintendo DS games.
Send them an email and demand a refund. Do it soon, big news is coming.

My wife is similar, she enjoys the odd mobile game, but getting her on the console is tougher.
Recently we've been playing tintin, which is awesome for a movie game, the coop is awesome. So I highly recommend that.

I've played it for about an hour and I'm stuck, just wondering if anybody else out there has completed it, I'm after some help, can't bring myself to search online for a solution.

Definitely worth checking out for a bit of a timewaster if you've never heard of it. Definitely makes you think a bit.
I finished it, PM me about where you got stuck, I had a couple of moments like that.

The Vita has been targeted at a Western Market - look at the launch lineup!! Sony's strategy has been to move far away from the Japanese audience.

Fighting games have never been popular on handhelds, yet it is launching with Blazblu and UMvC3 as Japanese centric games.
Ridge Racer hasn't been relevant in years.
Katamari is an obscure taste title and has been over represented on all consoles (and the iphone).
The best selling game has been Hot Shots Golf, which is a sequel to my personal favourite PSP game, but it's still not going to be a huge system seller.

I'm legitimately surprised they didn't launch first in the states, though that may just be due to manufacturing stock issues.
It'll do well in western countries, mainly due to Uncharted and FIFA, though I'm personally looking forward to yet another version of Lumines and Hot Shots Golf.

The DLC is not overdone in this game at all.
Looking at the list of DLC (with the exception of Divas) all the characters are not in the current roster and are only their for nostalgia/novelty benefits.
There are still 63 characters in game, with a few legends and the majority of the current RAW/Smackdown roster.

It's obviously a design decision, albeit an odd one.

I haven't played a game that's raised the bar so much in a long, long time. Exceeded my expectations in every way and is a pure example of how videogames are the ultimate form of human expression. The music, the freedom, the depth, the landscapes, the sidequests, the characters. That GUAR PLAINS BASELINE. **** perfection.
Also just finished it, the final act was a bit repetitive, but nowhere near as bad as uncharted 2s annoying boss fight.
Loved the game though, easily the best ps3 exclusive this year!!
I believe that we'll be playing as the children of the narrator, probably 3 characters judging by the action in the trailer.

it does look a it off, but the wooden chest totally makes up for it !!
Just finished Driver San Francisco, highly enjoyable, very underrated and bound to hit the $49 price leading into christmas, if you see it, pick it up, loved it.
Driving felt great, as it should, and the shift mechanic never got gimmicky.
