The two products have the same RRP. IF anyone is stupid, it's Nintendo.
It's looking more and more likely that this is true. He seemed to have had a pretty privileged position at Sony, so I wonder what he's going to do after.

First paragraph is hilarious. Having a go about Battlefield and Call of Duty's (deserved) cash cow status, then lauding a RE-RELEASE that has spawned an endless supply of mostly mediocre money-grubbing tie-ins.

I'm hoping you were being ironic.

Having said that, really enjoying playing this again in split screen.
He was comparing the current landscape with the one ten years ago, noting that it was Halo that truly popularised First-Person Shooters on consoles.
Don't think it has much - if anything - to do with the value of the Australian dollar (which has fallen pretty dramatically recently). It's mostly just retail competitors trying to capture the early market.

SO when is it hitting the Aus PSN Store?
it won't be; considering mortal kombat 9 was RC'ed I doubt they are interested in releasing the collection here.
It's already up on the XBL Marketplace...PSN shouldn't be any different.
It is though. Looks like Sony's decided not to go ahead with this one.
Yeah don't want to get my hopes up for this one. The chances of it coming to Adelaide are probably next to none.
EB have a big clearance sale on now as well. Standouts include Gran Turismo 5 at $37.
Just might have to grab Killzone 3 at that price.
Yep, definitely gonna have to dust the Wii off for this one.
Winners announced on September 1st? I might actually wanna go out and buy this one pretty quickly if I don't win.
Interested to see how this one reviews. Would be nice to have a good mature title for the platform.
Hmm I knew it was coming, but I don't know how I feel about it. I hope this doesn't mean that the game's mechanics are pushed too far towards it becoming a third-person shooter; I really started to miss ME1's RPG elements the more times I played ME2, as excellent as the game was.

That's because the complete edition is due out shortly with the DLC
Any idea of this timing?

According to this, the GOTY edition is scheduled for a September 16th release in the UK. You'd assume it would be the same or very similar here.
Looks really impressive, but this is obviously rendered on a high-spec PC. Wonder how the console versions are gonna hold up.
'You know it's a touching comedy, because Robin Williams has a beard.'
Hmmm more Japanese nonsense. The gameplay of FFXIII was extremely solid, but the story, characters and dialogue was utterly insufferable. I was hoping they could cut that out in this oen and just play to the game's strengths.
Looking forward to play Link's Awakening again. Hopefully it's available day one.
UMK3 is considered by many (including Ed Boon) to be the best of the original 2D MK Games. MK2 will always have that special place for me though.
Hopefully they're better conversions than the MK2 on PSN. And hopefully they modify the CPU behaviour so it doesn't 'cheat' like in the original arcade versions to get more cash out of you.
I was really expecting a GTA V unveil at this year's E3. I suppose there's still some possibility of it appearing in trailer form in one of the console maker's press conferences though..?
Keep in mind there is already a Mass Effect game available for the iOS.

I'll consider staying up for this one if it's being live streamed again. I was hugely surprised and pleased by how well Nintendo presented themselves at last year's E3.
There's really no must-buy launch games for me (Super Street Fighter IV is really the only one I'd actually definitely get) but I think I'm going to end up picking up a 3DS on Thursday, just because I have to have the latest console.
Too bad the game probably won't be released here.
Resident Evil is everywhere at the moment.
Black Ops is still expensive because it's the highest grossing game in US history; they can charge what they want for it and still make a killing.
There's no doubt that Sony will need to sell the device at a fairly significant loss if they want any chance of success, it's really just a matter of how much of a loss they're willing to make with each unit. The premium model would have to be over $400 here still, which is just too much for a handheld console in the eyes of the public.
Extremely disappointing, but not surprising. Looks like I might be importing a game for the first time in a very long time.
