Re: Dungeon Siege III Preview (2 years ago)
DS2 was alot faster paced than either of the Diablo 1 or 2 games.
I loved the Diablo games, but I also really enjoyed playing DS2 with a mate coop and the same with Titan Quest and Immortal Throne. All very similar style games with Diablo and Titan Quest being a little more indepth in the class systems. No reason you can't enjoy all of them be it a clone or not.

Add the Lassoo to the Zombie pack and I'll buy it...!
Re: Supreme Commander 2 Review (3 years ago)
Give me DOWII on consol any day over this..
Supreme Commander should not be dulled down just to make it partially playable on consols.

Re: Metro 2033 Review (3 years ago)
yeah, but a little eerie too. The silhouettes of apparitions.. spooky.
get a big HD screen, dark room and surround sound speakers. Very immersive.

Can't wait for May!

sEiFer said "This is what is wrong with making these sequels. They will be rushed to the market garbage. "
umm, ok so releasing SR3 3 years plus after Saints Row 2 was released is rushing it to market...
we must live in different universes where you live by goat years..

Re: Dragon Age: Origins DLC delayed; expansion coming? (3 years ago)
as long as the DLC or expansion don't include anything to do with 'The Fade' I will be happy. That element of the game really grabbed my goat! But thoroughly enjoying the rest.
Re: Darksiders Review (3 years ago)
have been looking forward to this for some time. Can't wait!!!
Re: Assassin's Creed II Review (3 years ago)
Very good game, a couple of small AI bugs but very much enjoying it. agreed with the review about the assassins tomb missions also, very circus like. very pretty also.
Re: DarkSiders: Wrath of War Preview (3 years ago)

Re: Watch Assassin's Creed: Lineage Part 1 (3 years ago)
Awesome work.
Re: Assassin's Creed 2: Ezio“s Destiny trailer (3 years ago)
very much looking forward to this. really enjoyed the first game (despite the repetitiveness).
Re: Splosion Man dev announces next title (3 years ago)
Great trailer.
Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum Review (3 years ago)
without spoiling anything there were a couple of 'illusionary' sequences in this game that were amazingly well implemented.
Re: Wolfenstein Review (3 years ago)
Ie, why people enjoyed it in the first place.

A sequal should do something different and original, plus develop the story
Build on the core gameplay, yes.
Different and Original, no.. that would make it a new game which culls the point of creating a sequel and attracting the same audience (plus more) from the original.
Re: Dawn of War II to receive new co-op mode (3 years ago)
Looks great.
Really enjoyed playing this via LAN with a mate. But now I may need a 2nd friend..

Re: PS3 price-cut doesn't fit 'long-term' plans (3 years ago)
It would be sad if Sony did fail with this Gen, as I have all consols (I used to be a X360 fan boy) and I by far believe the PS3 is 'easily' the best overall consol.
Any game that is now multiplatform I buy for the PS3 which I also use for my media centre to upscale AVIs, play cds, dvds and lastly blurays. I know not all people would use these functions but I certainly don't regret at all spending the money I did buying it. My 360 I can't say the same for as I'm now on my second consol after the first red ringed several times and the Wii is just gathering dust.
Personally I believe because we live in a time where new electronics have massively reduced in cost rapidly in a short space of time due to high asian imports etc. and then upon release into the market 'almost all' get a price drop within weeks (generally because by the time it hits the shelves there is a newer version available) we now expect 'ALL' equipment to typically follow suite.
Consols don't need to follow this trend as there aren't new iterations being released week after week, nor are there new competitors entering the market every week such as other electronics ranges.
At the end of the day the price is what it is and it's up to the consumer to decide what bang they want for their buck.

Re: Fight Night Round 4 Review (3 years ago)
Really enjoyed FN Rnd3 however two things make me nervous about this, 1. I'm not sold on the use of only the analogue stick and 2. I'm still enjoying kicking people in the head in UFC and taking them to the ground and submitting them. So I'm not sure I'm going to get the 'complete' experience by going back to just punching..
we shall see.

Re: Playing games is good for you (3 years ago)
Not quite true, it's if you don't reach a certain IQ going to Marines is your only option.
Also (grim-one), I have been gaming for many many years and I have perfect vision. I dare say there are other factors involved be it genetics or environment that have deteriorated yours.

Re: Bionic Commando Review (4 years ago)
really enjoyed, except the last boss battle. annoying. would have liked a little bigger area to traverse but other than that great fun.
Re: Prototype Review (4 years ago)
Currently playing Infamous and enjoying the over the top action (haven't really noticed thus far that all the NPC's are similar as I've been frying them..
), so looking forward to this game to be more over the top fun. I agree with a couple of the earlier posts, games that are great fun while not being as pretty (Saints Row 2) still win hands down in my book.
ps, Windburn post on explaining the lead consol question was a good post.

Re: Terminator Salvation: The Videogame Review (4 years ago)
Oh bugger, I was sort of looking forward to this.
Re: Red Faction: Guerilla Review (4 years ago)
Awesome game, could only have been better if there were lots of lamp posts and you had a bionic claw for an arm.
Re: UFC 2009 Undisputed Review (4 years ago)
Maxdaddy, as much as I agree with your score of 9 some of your "bad" comments are a little 'uneducated'.
ie, you've listed as bad that Big John McCarthy, Randy Couture and Ken & Frank Shamrock aren't in the game... they are licensed to a different organisation so couldn't possibly be included in this game unless the UFC threw wads of cash at them to buy them out of their current contracts. I hardly see that as a negative on the game.
Having said that, I would love to see some former legends in the next iteration.
PS, Guida should get a hair cut

Re: UFC 2009 Undisputed Review (4 years ago)
I don't think a score of 7.5 does this game justice. I bought this on launch and I haven't been disappointed. It is awesome fun to play, especially with mates and online. way better than Fight Night for the simple fact you can kick and take fights to the ground, so many ways you can kick someones ass.
I do agree with people quiting on you online as you are about to win very annoying however this happens in the minority and I'm sure can be addressed.

Re: E3 2009: EA takes on MMA (4 years ago)
having said that, would be awesome to see the UFC to throw some cash at the likes of Royce Gracie, Tank Abbot, Don Fry and Dan Severn etc and get them in the next iterations of the game.
