Re: The PSP Vita Thread (1 year ago)
Import from Best Buy and a shipping company for $280ish price. Also, play-asia.
Re: The PSP Vita Thread (1 year ago)
Sony don't need a good reason. They're a bunch of trolls.

A great post on how to save money on downloadable games by buying PSN points from Best Buy Online and using US PSN account:
Re: The PSP Vita Thread (1 year ago)
Assuming you are using Japanese servers and a Japanese Vita?
Re: The PSP Vita Thread (1 year ago)
So single player games are safe but you won't be able to play online if you get US versions of games?

I haven't kept up with info about the Vita. Are games region free? Are there savings to be had by importing from the UK?

Jesus the Simpsons isn't as good as it used to be, that's kind of like saying the holocaust was bad or bacon is delicious.

Maybe we all just got older and got over it? The Simpsons started airing in Australia in 1990 I think, I was ten. It was great all through high school. Then I started drinking and having sex and stuff, eventually stopped watching The Simpsons. If I was ten now, I'd love it.
Re: The PSP Vita Thread (1 year ago)
I know, pretty damn good. Especially since it includes the two highest rating games thus far (Rayman and Lumines) and some others that have scored 80+ on Game Rankings and Metacritic (BlazBlue and Uncharted). Not bad at all.

Then again, my dad refused to play Half-Life because of the on-rails introduction but played the hell out of graphic adventures back in the day.
At all times, a game should aim to be entertaining. If you're not entertained and want to skip things, then the game creators have quite simply done it wrong. That should be the real issue here.
If the Bioware chick is writing rubbish that not only do people want to skip but also whinge about on the internet, the ideal response would have been to address those concerns, defend her stance, and take on board any actual valid and constructive criticism. Instead, one of her co-workers joined in on the flame war. Doesn't do jack to instill faith in the quality of future Bioware products.
Agreed that boringness should be skippable and that the flame war helps nothing. Maybe they just need better writers at Bioware? Maybe writers that play games... crazy, I know.

I don't understand making fun of how she looks either. Attack her stupidity.
Re: Interesting/amazing news (1 year ago)
More gameplay, less writing/cut-scenes please. She fucked herself by saying she doesn't play games. And why does she care? She has a vagina AND an industry job, as she said. She writes crap, she gets paid. Who cares if geeks read or skip it? Silly human.

Except I don't think any of those other systems had their RRP dropped by $100 so quickly. Perspective, fanboy. Perspective.
Re: Funny Links (1 year ago)
Umm, I guess? I don't know.
I do know, however, that if xkcd is wrong about something, the internet will implode and nerds everywhere will lose their damn minds.

Kerning is the space between letters. Not necessarily evenly, as the example shows at the Wiki page you linked.

I um... oh hang on, I didn't post that here, it was dopp's Facebook that I posted it to. Carry on then...
Re: Interesting/amazing news (1 year ago)
Great read, thanks Karai.
Lulz, Norm, was that where you were talking about Doctorow being the coolest or most awesome person on the internet or something? I think that's why I skipped it when you linked it.
Have you read Down And Out In The Magic Kingdom? Was recommended by a friend after way too long discussing the pros and cons of a resource based economy. Coz that's what we do for fun. I haven't read it yet but would like to.

Zardoz is classic. I had a picture of him in that outfit on my wall at one of the places I worked at a couple years back.

Wow, thanks guys!
I wanna give a shout out to all of the PALGN mods ever, especially the ones that have been demoted recently after spending probably more time than usual moderating this forum.
In fact, I'd like to share this award with every other mod, and would love to see the award inserted into all of your sig areas.
Much love, forever, PALGN.
