I have two pet peeves when it comes to boss fights.
1) Gigantic bosses with big glowing orbs that scream "Shoot me to end the boss battle!" Sure it might be a bit of challenge staying out of range and avoiding attacks but shooting at glowing orbs over and over isn't my idea of fun.
2) QTE's to finish off bosses. If you get them wrong, the boss regains ~1/4-1/2 health back, you have to whittle down their health again and hope you input the QTE correctly next time. It's a cheap way to lengthen a fight and it only serves to piss me off.

I'm going to sound like a broken record here but I also pre-ordered the LE from Ozgameshop. I'm in no hurry to play it as I'm currently busy with other games. I'll be playing Binary Domain once it comes out and I'd rather wait until after I'm done with Mass Effect 3 before turning my attention to The Last Story. Even then, I might end up diverting my attention to Yakuza: Dead Souls coming out mid-March.

He did what he had to do, he couldn't trust the two of them so letting in an unknown number of strangers into their group which are already going through some issues to say the least is a bad idea.
I think Rick was going to kill them no matter what but I think it was intentional on the directors part to have Dave go for his gun first. Rick getting the jump on Dave and shooting him while he was pouring a drink would make him look more of a stone cold killer, than someone protecting his family and friends.
If it was Shane in there instead of Rick, he would have shot them as soon as they asked about the farm.

I finished it yesterday but I'm not sure what to think. I knew of the whole TBC issue but it all just failed to get a reaction out of me. I'd like to get some closure, whether they go about doing this through a sequel or DLC, I don't know.
What I do know is I'd much rather that they'd focus on Versus 13 already.

I thought that the consequence system was a little too forgiving. Playing on the hardest difficulty level available for the demo, I went out of my way in one playthrough (mission one) to shoot my teammates as often as possible, trying to kill/down them and bring my trust level to rock bottom. I'd even repeat orders as often as possible to annoy them.
Working together with them against the Grand Lancer by shooting the cable to electrocute it and jumping onto its head from the rooftop seemed to be enough for my comrades to place their trust in me again.
The gameplay isn't really anything special but it feels fun to play. It does, at least to me, avoid feeling too generic. The shooting felt good, the guns feel like they had real power behind them and dismembering the robots was pretty satisfying.
It looks like being a fairly good TPS and I'm eagerly awaiting its release.

No, unfortunately it was just a sale on the XBL marketplace where other SE games were discounted eg. Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and Just Cause 2 DLC. They'll probably do a similar sale on the PSN eventually.

I don't really post here much but I wanted to take the time to thank people who gave me that extra push I needed to try out the Persona games. I absolutely loved them and have become a fan of SMT and Atlus in general as a result. It was always cool to see other people passionate about JRPG's discuss everything about the genre and upcoming games.

Square-Enix are having a sale of games and DLC on the XBL marketplace, The Missing Link DLC originally priced at 1200MSP has been reduced by 50% to 600MSP. I'm not quite sure when the sale ends but I grabbed it now as all that's held me back from this has been the price tag.

I didn't think of FF 11, I really enjoyed it. I played it for 5-6 years spending about 4 of those in a HNMLS. Getting the Black Belt for my Monk was one of the standout memories in any FF game for me.
I haven't played for about 2 years now. Unfortunately the drama llama got a hold of some and people in my LS either quit or went their separate ways. I got sick of the grind as well and while I reactivated my account from time to time I just couldn't will myself to play long sessions.
I don't want to remember how many hours I spent camping NM's like Ullikummi and Morbolger.

+1 for Alpha Protocol. The game has glaring flaws that put many people off from playing it but I still had quite a lot of fun. I liked the timer and autosave feature with the dialogue wheel, you had to respond in a timely manner and you couldn't just redo a conversation because you didn't achieve the end result you were hoping for.
Plus, any game that lets me be a complete **** to every one gets a thumbs up from me.
The sneaking animation is woefully bad however, I don't think anyone will defend that with a straight face.

Level up a pulsework knight (SEN) if you have one. You can capture it from Bresha Ruins, it's an early bloomer so it caps out at level 20 but with 2k+ HP it's very handy for dealing with challenging battles.
I had no trouble fighting Caius, PK easily mitigated his damage output. SYN/SAB/SEN to set up buffs on party and debuffs on Caius made it a breeze.
It might be worth looking into optimal leveling guides if you want to make your characters as strong as possible. Using Noel as an example, I'm focusing on increasing his strength. So every time there's a large node in the crystarium I spend CP to level up COM on it for a role bonus which gives an extra 2 STR on top of the stat bonuses normal or small nodes provide.
I have him at either 31 or 32 COM right now, so while he doesn't yet have higher level abilities he does have an extra 62 or 64 points of STR.

I can confirm that it's going for $29. It's on sale at that price along with a few other Capcom games eg. Dead Rising 2: Off the Record.
I had to order it online as they did not have any discs and manuals to put into the cases available. It seems that staff had been making the mistake of putting UMvC3 into the empty cases of people purchasing MvC3.

With the fifth installment coming out in a fortnight I was in the mood to play some SC. I grabbed my copy of SC4 and put it back on the shelf, played this instead to finish up the achievements I needed.

I'd imagine all the cast would get a third tier persona. I stumbled upon this image of Jiraiya with a flaming afro.
I'm interested in how they'd all awaken a third tier persona, in particular Naoto. Given that she joins much later in the game and you have little time as is to max her S.Link for her second tier persona.
