For anyone wondering how to apply to the beta;

Step 1: Follow the instructions in your FFXIII game (PS3). Got to web site and enter code, follow instructions. This gives you a Square-Enix ID. This ID sends you an email.....

Step 2: You will get an email with your FFXIV beta code (and exclusive in game item for release as well) you click on register. This is where it gets weird.....

It will say login with your SE account: login/password and TOKEN password. Ignore the TOKEN password once you have made your account (ie leave it blank).

Below this there is a (dont have a SE account? button) hit this, create a SE account (different to ID, can use same email), follow promts, verify email again and confirm again etc.

Then you aswer a series of questions and enter the promo code you got in the EMAIL (dont cut and paste, youll miss the last 4 chars as it requires no spaces / cut and paste into notepad and remove spaces, recopy/paste into browser) then hit create.

Confirms via email. Then you MAY be selected for the beta.

We will see, I am interested.
Got to the final page only to find out that the code box only accepts 19-digits when the code is actually 20-digits long ... This fills me with indignation and contempt for Square-Enix-- what a waste of time!
well done fella

PSN: Phuxerupper
Tobal no.1 was awesome
Downloaded this last night, and would love to give my impression, but the demo kind of hangs (background animation becomes choppy, no sound, and can't exit the demo) when 'single player' or 'options' are selected. Is there a way to delete the install data and reinstall the demo without downloading it again?
Resistance 2 not on the list?

That was hands down the best game for the PS3.
Does anyone else find the camera annoying in this game?
I hate having to fight it from centering itself when using the x-axis. And when swimming underwater, it would be much better if it locked-on from behind.
I eventually got it working but I had to use the same fake-name with Entropay as I did with PSN
Well I just tried it with an Entropay Visa and PSN still wanted a US address and thus denied the transaction.
Re: Mega Man 9 images (4 years ago)
Personally, I think Megaman is better suited to 8-bit , but thats coming from someone who prefers Zelda on the NES. I hope the old style MIDI music is retained as Megaman 2's music was brilliant.

This is like the whole megapixel or megahertz wars. There's far more to the quality of an image, or a product, than simply how much of a certain thing it has. It's not that the pixel count is irrelevant, but there are far more factors at play here.

A chocolate chip cookie with 10x the chocolate chips is not necessarily as good as a chocolate chip cookie made with some of the greatest cookie dough in existence. (Not sure if that's a great analogy, but I'd typed too much of it to just delete it) icon_lol.gif
Its a bad analogy because the 360 version uses more pixels natively, its not that its a higher upscale which would represent the cookies part.

Now I think its ridiculous that Sony don't have a standard for games: whats next, a 576p native game flogged-off as HD? I'll have to get my old CRT standard definition TV out
