Re: Your newest purchase (1 year ago)
Best birthday present evar.
There seems to be a problem with the photos not displaying? Can anyone confirm or is it just my browser? :/
I've gotten more into the PS3 lately and so am looking for a new home for this 360:
Older non-HDMI model, but I will throw in the official VGA cable gratis. Repaired once for RRoD, been working fine since. Comes with 20GB HDD (official), power brick, wired headset, play and charge kit and 2 white controllers both in good condition with official MS rechargeable batteries.
included games, all great condition and complete:
-Crackdown
-GTAIV
-BioShock
-Mass Effect
-Forza 2
The lot for $320 inc postage (firm).
OR
straight trade for PS VITA and a couple of games.
Cheers PM for any questions.

First I was like "Hellz yeah I'll chip in $15"...
Then I was like "What, the payment process redirects to Amazon.com and I have to use a credit card? LOLZ. PayPal or fuck off."

Yes, I stole this gag from the funny links thread.
This is the internet, everything is stolen.

Re: One Questions (1 year ago)
Does anyone else use the personalised TV guide on tvguide.com.au? (a.k.a. tvfix.com.au, a.k.a. yourtv.com.au)
It hasn't been working for days now and it's starting to piss me off big time. I'd like to know if it's just happening to me or if it's actually down.

Yes, that's exactly what it looks like. 2 c*ckroaches making love.
Every night when you turn the light off and go to sleep, this could be happening on your bedside table. Or right beside your pillow. They might even decide that your hair is the perfect location for their baby makin'. And you'd never know because you're asleep. Just saying that it's possible. Sweet dreams.

I saw that guy in EB Games on Friday. I'm not kidding, that guy. Except his stubble was grown out more.

The film was originally conceived as a prequel to Scott's 1979 science fiction horror film Alien; however, the events of Prometheus will not precede any of the characters or story lines from the Alien franchise. According to Scott, though the film shares "strands of Alien's DNA, so to speak", Prometheus will explore its own mythology and universe and is not directly linked to Alien.
^ That's a lot more than a "strand" of DNA. If it takes place in the same universe and revisits important elements (Space Jockies, Weyland-Yutani) then as far as anybody is going to be concerned it is a prequel. Relating to previous characters or story lines doesn't really factor into it.
I always took the "not a prequel" line as just empty hype-building jargon.
Of course... there's always the possibility that they're not BSing and it really isn't a prequel...
Everyone expects Prometheus takes place before Alien... But what if it actually takes place... after Alien Resurrection?
Wait...
Wait a goddamn second...
The film shares "strands of Alien's DNA"...?
...
...
"Shares"... "DNA"...?
Could that mean what I think it means?

OH MY GOD...
THE HALF-HUMAN, HALF-ALIEN RIPLEY 8 CLONE WILL SURELY MAKE HER TRIUMPHANT RETURN IN PROMETHEUS...
Re: Which was the last game you finished? (1 year ago)
American McGee's Alice.
The worst game I have ever played. How this joyless, monotonous turd of a game ever achieved cult classic status I will never know.
There is literally nothing good about it.
If I owned it on disc, I would snap the disc in half and burn it, but since it's only DLC on the 360's hard drive, all I can do is delete it and try never to think about it again.

Pfft whatever dude. You haven't played Doom until you've played it using a d-pad for forward / back / turn left / turn right and shoulder buttons for strafing.

Combine the following:
- 2 x Sony PlayStation 1
- 2 x Doom for Sony PlayStation
- 1 x Sony PlayStation 1 system link cable
- 2 x Sony PlayStation 1 RF cable
- 2 x 34cm cathode ray tube television sets (monaural). Sony Trinitron recommended.
- 2 x 2L Coca-Cola
Results: Awesome.
You PC tards are so quaint with your "keyboards" and "servers". Enjoy your plinky-plonky MIDI "music", if it can even be called that. LOL
