Not to mention all the crap that'd be in the cracks of the controller.
I utilised a needle the other day and cleaned all of the shit out of my controller after four years. Nomnomnom...

If I didn't already have the game both physically and on Steam, you bet I would. =P
I was surprised to see that I got a free copy of Devil May Cry 3. I already have it on PS2, and apparently the PC version isn't as good. Bleh, might keep it in my inventory for now...
Hey guys, just a quick bit of advice. Would I be best off waiting for the 7xxx series to be released before upgrading, or should I just jump right in and purchase a HD 6950, which has recently captured my interest?
The way that multiplayer was delivered disappointed me quite a bit. I would have really preferred that multiplayer receive the exact same treatment that the campaign received. Seriously, when the game was announced, I was beyond excited for the opportunity to have 3v3 warthog battles on Sidewinder again, with updated graphics and the original gameplay engine. Instead, we got a Halo Reach map pack with only 4/6 maps from the original Halo CE disc (not counting Timberland).
I've never actually noticed it before, as I've always made use of AdBlock Plus. I decided to turn it off for a bit and browse the site without it on. In all seriousness, this is nothing short of being beyond a joke...

The same thing happened with Battlefield 3. Your typical cognitive dissonant fankids will jump onto Metacritic and leave a game a terrible user review despite most likely having never played the game before. They have way too much time on their hands.

Farewell by the way, Anthony! Your excellent reviews will be missed. D=
Possible spoilers ahead. Nothing story related, though.

I've been lucky enough to have the game since last Thursday, and already, i've had one of those moments during gaming in which I will never forget. So mammoths and giants are absolute arse holes to kill. You have to keep a fair distance from them whilst fighting, or otherwise they'll OHKO you. There is a fetch quest in which you have to grab a couple of mammoth tusks for a lady, and having just seen a mammoth, I decided to go in for the kill. Distancing myself, I whittled down about half of its health through dual-casting. At this point, its buddy which I missed sight of comes running through and things get hectic. Just as i'm about to destroy the second one, a giant comes running for me from behind. I couldn't do anything, so I just ran as quickly as possible. Just as things couldn't get more hectic, A WILD DRAGON APPEARS! So now i'm running from a dragon and a giant. Eventually, I came across a bandit camp, and thankfully for me, the AI decided to start firing at each other. I got away and quick-travelled the hell outta there, two mammoth tusks in hand, and adrenaline going off the charts!

I LOVE this game! ='D
Champ, i've always been a big fan of your written work on PALGN's front page. You will leave a very considerable gap behind. Good luck, man!

Lucky you, I'm jealous. Cant wait to get my hands on it.

Can you tell us what its like?
The way I see it, Bethesda took the best of Fallout, added it to Oblivion, and then made that particular product have sex with Jesus. The resulting offspring is nothing short of amazing! Oh yeah, and the game has only frozen once in the 10+ hours that I have played for. =P
It does indeed have a manual, it's just behind the map, which by the way has a very nice finish to it.

As to how I obtained the game so early, let's just say that a certain shop that I regularly purchase from got their dispatch of the game in today and felt extremely generous. No other details. =P

Aww hell yeah! When I have the opportunity, i'm looking forward to grabbing the PC version, too!
Re: Battlefield 3 (1 year ago)
I started playing the single player campaign earlier and just completed it (Xbox 360). I enjoyed it in the same way I do a Call of Duty campaign. It was a good bit of brief fun, but I can't see myself playing through it again when I grab the PC and PS3 copies of the game. Now i'm looking forward to jumping into the co-op campaign when my mates grab the game before giving my life to some good old multiplayer.
Beyond pumped! I can see my Xbox being switched on for a six week period without rest.

Can someone tell me, does this have Non-V8 Supercar Holdens and Fords in it this time?
In addition to what Benc stated before, you'll also a find a bunch of re-badged Holdens under GM's other subsidiaries. These are the Holden Monaro as the 2006 model Pontiac GTO and the 2005 model Vauxhall Monaro, along with the Holden Commodore as the 2008 model Pontiac G8 GXP. Those are the ones that I have come across so far. There may be more.
I anticipate the people that will inevitably come into work and buy three 1500 points cards at once.
Pretty damn pumped for the game. I'm planning on grabbing both the Xbox and PC versions at some stage, most likely with the former on release, and the latter sometime after.

Just completing my collection. =D
To the person that sniped me last night after I accidentally fired a stray rocket into a couple of guys, I thank you so much! I finally got the pain in the arse "double kill from the grave" achievement to complete my 1400/1400 for Halo Reach! So excite! =D

360 owners could only wish this game will look that good and run that smooth....
Have you not played the first game on Xbox 360? As somebody who has played the death out of Borderlands on all three platforms, the performance of the game is pretty much identical amongst each of the platforms, and visually, the differences aren't too big. Sure, the game looks a little bit nicer on PC, but as if you'd even give a shit! It's Borderlands! Anti-aliasing-anti-shmaliasing, you're getting the exact same simply awesome gameplay experience all around! =P

I am beyond pumped for the game! Provided all of the guys that I played the first game with are ready to jump back into Pandora with me, I'll probably even make the fiscally wasteful decision of purchasing the game on all three platforms at launch! =D

*my wallet cringes to a shocking extent*
Having now seen that trailer, and taking note of who a particular enemy seems to be, i'm now regretting having given that particular enemy access to a rather nice stockpile of Reaper technology. Ooops. =D

For any halo 3 fans, how did you get the 'Two for One' achievement? I am about to try randomly firing into groups in oddball/king of the hill. But I am beyond hopeless with the Spartan Laser. Should of seen me trying to destroy a banshee with one for the 'Too close to the sun' achievement XD Gotta admit I had a lot of fun trying to do that though icon_smile.gif
I ended up getting that one by firing at a warthog with a bunch of people in it on Sandtrap. Got the achievement 100% unintentionally, too! =P

I wish that Bungie (or Microsoft, who takes the reigns starting tomorrow) would host a dedicated Living Dead playlist on Halo 3 again. I'm never going to get the two achievements related to Infection unless I magically come across the gametype on Rumble Pit, which never happens. D=
One of the regulars that I talk to at work has an old Arcade, and he's had a Kinect sensor since day one. I think it's really just based on one's luck. Of course, don't let that detract you from buying the most awesome looking LE Xbox yet (coming from a Reach Console Edition owner) =P
I am so god damn close to completing Halo Reach. All I need is the bastard-child double kill from the grave achievement and i'll be on it.

In the mean time, I just completed Mass Effect 2! My last achievement was the achievement that involved me finishing the game on insane difficulty. Wow, that was fun! And extremely frustrating, too!

Typical of my luck, how Microsoft announces two exclusive and limited runs of Gears of War and Star Wars themed Xbox 360 slims after I just bought a new one.
That's what I said when the Halo Reach Console Edition was announced. I still went ahead and traded my new slim in for one. =P
Windows Phone 7 man here. Rockin' my HD7, which is pretty much now my child, haha. As somebody that absolutely loves fart-arsing around with Microsoft's .NET series of program development languages, having a bit of fun and making apps for personal use, it integrates well into that particular environment.

I am beyond pumped for Mango!
Haha, I was just having a bit of a joke. Of course Battlefield 3 is going to slaughter MW3. In terms of gameplay anyway. =P
I am beyond pumped. What is this Battlefield?
That it does. Hopefully i'll do the sensible thing and put the 1200 points towards Section 8 Prejudice. I'm really digging what i'm seeing.
I shall be handing Activision my moniez. Only because my friends are going to peer pressure me into buying a map pack i'll only take advantage of a few times again. =P
