Future of Uncharted and Jak and Daxter sequels discussed

PS3 News | Naughty Dog talks briefly about the future.
Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells sat down with the semi-official PlayStation 3 blog Three Speech to talk about what is next on the agenda for the popular developer. Their PS3 debut Uncharted: Drake's Fortune has been received well, so fans are keen to find out what Naughty Dog are planning next.

"We developed Uncharted as a franchise. The pulp action/adventure genre lends itself perfectly to serialization and continued episodes which is one of the reasons we were attracted to it," says Evan. "Right now we are brainstorming on what Naughty Dog’s next project will be, but even if we don’t do an Uncharted sequel right away, you can pretty much count on us doing one in the near future."

"Jak and Daxter is a definite possibility some time in the future," he said. "There is a lot of interest around the office in going back to that franchise and seeing what we could do with it using the Uncharted engine."

Cool, I was wondering about whether they'd be continuing on with Uncharted, great to hear that they will be. His last comment about Jak and Daxter in the Uncharted engine is definitely interesting, I can only imagine what that would be like. icon_smile.gif
