Killzone 2 media released

PS3 News | To kill, or not to kill?
Sony have released some new screenshots for their upcoming PlayStation 3 title, Killzone 2.

Killzone 2 takes place two years after the Helghast assault on Vekta and will see the ISA take the fight to the enemy's home world of Helghan. Taking on the role of Sev, players will be tasked with capturing the Helghast leader, Emperor Visari, and destroying the enemy's war machine.

Killzone 2 is expected to be released next year. The new screens can be viewed in the media panel below.

WOOT for the same old E3 screens with a slight camera angle change, thanks Sony icon_biggrin.gif

They look sharper, so it 'might' be from a newer build.

That being said, I want different levels. Now.

Looks like COD4 in a way. Even the gun.

I think Guerallia have the potential to deliver an absolute brilliant game here and set Killzone as a AAA franchise in the FPS market.

^^ LOL COD4 was my first thought, too (altho my addiction to that game could have something to do with it).. Really do think this game will play like a sci-fi version of COD (which definately isn't a bad thing), and seeing as I'm one of the 5 people who actually liked the first Killzone (and it's PSP incarnation, too), I'm massively looking forward to this.

Looking really good, was hoping it was another movie example and not just the same screen shots that i've seen before.

It's official. This game has one level. Albeit one awesome level.

After starting at so many crysis screens and seeing COD4 running with everything on full at 1920x1200, Killzone 2 just doesn't seem to look as good as I remember it looking during the last E3 previews...

To be honest, the game in motion rips apart CoD4 IMO. Crysis not so much, but it certainly comes close to matching the overall quality of Crysis, albeit with a completely different (and not so widely accepted) art style.

This looks sweet, hopefully this will be the game that makes the PS3 worth purchasing. I loved the 1st Killzone too, but I finished it before I played Halo and didn't try to compare them the whole time either. I certainly don't think Killzone was a mediocre game because most reviewers prefered Halo, personally I thought Killzone was just as good. I'm looking forward to this and (if I can get past the hair-brained plot that will probably take a turn for stupid) MGS4.
