Contacted by PlayStation Universe for an update on the matter, Armour was frank, stating, "We are hoping to do a beta but I don't think we'll have anything ready before this year is over... it is something we are working on for next year."
"Keep in touch [as] we'll have more soon," Armour said.
As one of the long-awaited proverbial killer apps for PlayStation 3 (least of all, due to its storied trailer premiere back at E3 '05), Killzone 2 has had its fair share of hard knocks and delays. With the full game having already been delayed well into 2008, and now the public beta joining its new year ranks, Armour's sentiments at least gives the Sony faithful hope that a water tight release date is slowly, but surely looming ever near.
