eGames 07: Singstar release date announced

PS3 News | Songs available at a reasonable rate.

Singstar on the PlayStation 3 will be available on the 6th of December. The game will be available for $59.95 without microphones or for $109.95 with two microphones. although the reasonable price works out to be a bit more expensive than buying the games as a pack like on ps2, I guess the payoff is the ability to choose songs that ou like specifically at a cost of hard drive space.

It'd be nice to be able to rip songs from the ps2 singstar games directly into the ps3 version, that might help me seal the deal and fork out for a ps3.

This could convince quite a few people to buy PS3's. I wonder though, how many of the casual Singstar / Buzz players will pay $700 for a console? Certainly good news for the PS3 fans out there anyway, it will definetly help shift some PS3's.
