PlayStation Store updated

PS3 News | With a lot of new content.
Sony has updated the PlayStation Store with a whole load of new content today. Firstly, the Folklore demo returns, as does the demo for Sega Rally (which is incidentally available today). The speed master pack for Ninja Gaiden Sigma has been released for $5.99.

The new goblin pack is also available to purchase for $9.99 and features a new character for Spider-Man 3, the New Goblin. Wallpapers have also been released for Heavenly Sword and Warhawk and new trailers have also been released for PES 2008, Infamous and Feel Ski. So, not a bad update at all.

Yay! So we finally get the LTD Edition and New Goblin download for Spidey 3. So why couldn't we have these back when the game was first released?

Stupid PAL being left behind. The US store has heaps more demos. I guess it really doesn't matter though cause you can just get a US account and dload em anyway (it works icon_wink.gif ).

Firstly, the Folklore demo returns
It might be worth pointing out that this is not the return of the Folklore demo, but rather a second, separate demo. Where the first demo (better in my opinion) focuses mainly on the battle elements and Folk collecting, this new one focuses more on the story elements, exploring how the stories of Ellen and Keats are connected, how they enter the Netherworld, and showcases the characters and story.

There are two new Folk powers in this demo that weren't in the previous one (both in Keats' section) so it's not a total waste for those who downloaded the original demo, but it doesn't provide anywhere near as much hands-on with the play mechanics. There are no enemies which use the Sixaxis 'wrestling' action, for example.

It's still well worth checking out for those who haven't played the original demo, since Folklore shows every sign of being an excellent game, but downloading the limited demo while it was available will still have provided people with a much better insight into the game.
