TGS 07: MotorStorm 2 confirmed

PS3 News | Evolution Studios working on new MotorStorm content too.

According to IGN a recent press release sent out by Sony has confirmed that Evolution Studios is currently working on a sequel to the PlayStation 3 launch title, MotorStorm.

After the success of MotorStorm this doesn't come as much of a surprise, but it's still pleasing that we've got confirmation that the game is currently in development. The game will be coming as a retail release and won't be released on the PlayStation Network. This doesn't mean that Evolution Studios has given up on MotorStorm though, apparently they are still working on content for the original game which will be distributed over the PlayStation Network.

Mmm this was to be suspected, I love Motorstorm, but how great and unique can they make this game?

I hope they add some elements such as speeding through dusty old western villages and such.

I hope they add like Free Play mode, custom racing. Make it GTA style and walk around the actual Festival ground and walk to your next ticket/race. and so on..

I have a feeling they might take a page out ofLBP book and allow users to create custom tracks, just by adding obsticles etc. And also allow the user to customize their vehicle, maybe allowing them to 'tweak' certain aspects to give the advantage in racing by completing/purchasing additional parts.

Give me more chaos, more options and a way to turn off slow mo crashes in SP and I'm set.

Yeah that was actually a disgrace regarding the original. I mean multiplayer has practically been in these type of games since SNES.
