Rumours of a PlayStation 3 rumble controller have been around for months. As early as February Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios President Phil Harrison commented that rumble was a "last generation" feature. Then Sony kissed and made up with Immersion, the company behind rumble. Sony was forced to deny rumble controllers were on the way, but the rumour kept persisting, so Sony denied it again last month.
Sony Computer Entertainment's president Kaz Hirai officially confirmed the controller during his Tokyo Game Show Keynote Speech. The controller will be available in November in Japan and Autumn in the US and Europe (presumably Australia too). Actual pricing for the controller and release dates are to be decided. There are titles on the TGS show floor which utilise the Dual Shock 3, including Uncharted and Ratchet and Clank.
