"We'll have a PC demo for UT, [but] I don't think we'll have a PS3 demo before the game ships," Rein said to Eurogamer.
Rein went on to compare the issue with what the team had expressed to Microsoft when asked a similar question concerning Gears of War.
"What we told Microsoft last year - they wanted a demo for Gears of War and we said 'you've got a choice - you can have the demo this year or the game this year,' " Rein stated. "We're not a big huge company with the resources to do that, and all the time we're testing that demo we're not testing our full game, which we need to be doing constantly."
According to Rein however, making a PC demo in the form of a beta is much easier and in turn, would greatly benefit the game's development.
Unreal Tournament III is currently scheduled for a release later this year on the PlayStation 3 and PC while an Xbox 360 version will be released sometime in 2008. Meanwhile, you can check out PALGN's recent interview with Unreal Tournament III producer, Jeff Morris, by clicking here.
