Assassin's Creed pre-order pack confirmed for Australia and New Zealand

PS3 News | Sounds good to us.

Ubisoft has announced the Assassin's Creed preorder pack will be available in Australia in early October. The pack will be available at specialist gaming retailers.

By simply preordering Assassin's Creed (which is due out in November 2007), gamers will be able to pick up a unique brushed steel and embossed design, as well as a numbered authenticity hologram. The pack also comes with a bonus DVD which will grant access to exclusive information and content on your PC.

I did. All I see is the Ltd edition casing, the DVD and DVD case, and instruction booklet.

What is the 'design' and where is the hologram?

Actually I think I get it now. They're calling tin cases as just "designs" now are they?

nice, i will be picking this up. can't wait to get some goodness and hopefully go on rampages. which reminds me, can we go nuts on the civilians like in GTA?

EDIT: actually, looking at it again, i don't really like the metal case design.
specifically, i don't like the way the two words of the Title are on the same line, i much prefer the the words split over two lines, like it is everywhere else.

This is labeled as a PS3 article. Are all platforms that receive the game going to get the special edition?

well, the press release image is of the PC version, so there's at least PS3 and PC gamers sorted.

The way PALGN's system works is we have to select a primary system, it will be available for all platforms.

Far out we get a nice figure with Bioshock and that's what, $120 Au?

Still, I want confirmation of the figure with the PAL version.

Also interesting its been confirmed as region free, obviously all PS3 games are but should prove cheaper if true for the 360 version.

To confirm, the pre-order pack will be available for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC pre-orders. Ask your preferred retailer for more details. And to state the obvious, the pre-order pack is free but only available to customers that pre-order Assassin's Creed.

The DVD-ROM packaging shown in the picture is the bonus DVD, the ROM referring to the PC-only features of the disc such as screensavers etc.

Should get a custom designed Soul Reaver from a swordsmith place, that would be all kinds of awesome. Probably cost a fair bit though, I will have one in time though.

There was a time when that would've made my blood boil but surprisingly (to me anyway) those garish rating labels don't bug me at all anymore.

Looks good, will buy, but then again maybe not.
