More Guitar Hero III tracks revealed

PS3 News | More master recordings revealed.
Guitar Hero community site, Scorehero, recently had an opportunity to head down to Neversoft to check out how things are going on Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. The site got more than they bargained for when four new tracks were revealed to them.

The four new tracks are:

  • Suck My Kiss, Red Hot Chili Peppers
  • La Grange, ZZ Top
  • Number Of The Beast, Iron Maiden
  • Through The Fire And Flames, Dragonforce

Only Le Grange isn't a master recording, so it seems like Guitar Hero III will have more master recordings than its predecessor.

Ugh, Dragonforce. Is this the song where they sing about power and the universe for 7 minutes with a solo that sounds like noise or the other song where they sing about power and the universe for 7 minutes with a solo that sounds like noise?

I was really hoping for Hallowed Be Thy Name from Iron Maiden, but I guess Number of the Beast will do. I'm just glad it's a Master Recording, because both The Trooper and Wrathchild were brutally murdered by the GH people.

Honest question: How well do you honestly think Guitar Hero III will do when people know that Rock Band is on its way? You know Rock Band will be marketed aggressively and it could end up being the biggest title on the way bar none.

Guitar Hero Name will make it sell. Rock Band has the harder sell unless they say "From the Original Creators of Guitar Hero", and market the kits well.

The songlist for GH3 has sold me, that's all I really needed to pick it up. In general Rock Band will sell well because it has a strong backing and the box will be HUGE icon_razz.gif

Rock Band will do really good over the holidays for Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year parties!! Guitar Hero III should do just as good since it's a popular game and many people know it and they might not be too sure about (possibly) wasting around $200 on a game they've never heard of (though Rock Band, as I said, should sell alot over the Xmas holidays)

Wow, you must be a serious child of the 80s, out of the 30 songs in Encore at least 15 are long-forgotten nobodies. There's a few classics in there, but not many!
