Gran Turismo 5 Prologue out in Japan in October

Polyphony Digital has revealed that Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, which was announced last week at E3, will be released on the PlayStation Network in October for Japan.

According to Sony, the game will include a variety of cars and will feature online play. IGN is reporting that the game's pricing is currently listed as "TBA", which may mean the title isn't available for free. Earlier this year, Sony released Gran Turismo HD for free via the PlayStation Network.

Wasn't there a Prolog for GT3 or GT4 on the PS2? It wasn't free. Not only that but Sony don't care if people don't *want* to pay. They gave GT:HD for free because it was 1 track and a "tech" demo. This for free seems a little... too generous for a company who have blown that red line big in the last year.

Sounds like people pay for the hype with this release like prologue 4.
GTHD to me looks like crap anyways, and from what I have seen they had better pull something amazing out of their arse to compete with the other devs what they are producing.

This is just Sony trying to milk more money on an incomplete game, I wont be shelling out any money for this.

hmm i'm a bit dissapointed that they would try to milk an incomplete game, while i do like the series but not the direction they've gone to keep it damage free taking the whole simulation out of simulation games, i think i'll wait for the full version.
