E3 2007: Activision to keep Guitar Hero song pricing

PS3 News | As more than 300,000 packs are sold.
According to Reuters RedOctane's Head of Publishing Dusty Welch has confirmed that the extravagant pricing for Guitar Hero II downloadable content will continue.

"It's been a tremendous success for us," said Dusty Welch. The song packs created quite a stir a few months ago when three packs were released for 500 Microsoft points each. Despite this, more than 300,00 song packs were sold. Welch stated that the current prices were "very attractive and desirable for consumers. We do actively look at and monitor the message boards. We do listen, and for us, it's about offering even better music at current price points to get consumers excited about."

Money talks, bullsh*t walks. As long as some fool is willing to part with his or her hard earned cash, there are people more than willing to take it.
