Sly Cooper heading for PS3 and PSP

PS3 News | With connectivity between both versions.
In an interview with PSM (the official PlayStation magazine), developer Sucker Punch revealed that there are two new Sly games in production for the PSP and PlayStation 3. Apparently, the games are to be released simultaneously and will feature connectivity functions to one another.

Sucker Punch also let slip on some of the game's level design. "The graphics have been majorly overhauled and the gameplay will be more varied and focused this time around," Sucker Punch stated. "We're aiming for a fully interactive 3-d world, with no loads and seamless interaction between settings and characters."

Nothing else was mentioned in the interview regarding Sly 4 other than we can expect more information to be revealed at E3. We'll report back then.

That is tremendous news, albeit unsurprising.

Sly Cooper 2 and 3 are among the best platformers ever created; brimming with colour, inventiveness and personality, they were vastly underrated. Infinitely better than the admittedly still-pretty-good Jak and Ratchet franchises.

Awesome. Can't wait to see some 'Cell' powered cell shading.

I'm a big fan of the original 3, although the third game did feel a bit samey. I hope they're thinking of updating the gameplay on top of the visuals. That goes of every game coming out from now till 2020. So then... Duke Nukem Forever misses the count. As does Starcraft 2 icon_razz.gif

Having only played #3 through this is very exciting. Hopefully they keep it fresh, while just as brilliant.
