Haze is set in the year 2048, which is a time where most governments have given up on keeping their own military forces and have resorted to outsourcing military operations. One company that specializes in running private military operations is Mantel. Mantel has the advantage of having soldiers that have a substance called “nectar” at their disposal. It’s a drug that enhances abilities but can be quite hazardous as well. Through out the game players will be challenged to see how this will show the bleaker and unglamorous side of war.
