MGS 4 pushed back to March 2008

PS3 Rumour | Or so says US retailer.

Leading US retailer EB Games has emailed a newsletter to its subscribers suggesting that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots has been delayed until March 2008. Initially, the retailer had the game listed as a Q3 2007 release in North America.

Which is slightly concerning news obviously, especially as the title is one of the more important upcoming PS3 exclusives. With that said however, this is mere speculation until Konami says so; stay tuned for official word.

ouch, i hope that this is just a rumour, but dont see why eb would need to say such things if its not oO...

hopefully a pr can come and clear this matter up in the near future.

I never expected this to be released in 2007. It was never going to be released in PAL regions in 2007 in any case.

^ Very true, i doubt we were ever going to get in this year, just like MGS3, it was released in september 05 we didn't get it until til march 06. But then this may mean that we might not get it until 2009.

Such a shame but hopefully the delay will lead to more stuff in the game.

i guess delays are good, in a way, it means things are being made better...

OR it may still be full of bugs even after all the delays (you know what im talking about)

EDIT: before i get attacked for accidently impling MGS will be full of bugs note that i was only making a comment on delaying games

^^ definately, I know for a fact we won't be seeing MGS on our shores for at least 6 months (it takes time to translate those 10 hour long codec conversations), so I've always been going to import this one.
And also, this game was never, ever going to come out this year. And if it did, it would be right at the end, so march wouldn't be such a massive delay anyways.
